I was looking for sugar waxing places because I heard sugar waxing is more gentle on the skin, especially for bikini area. I'm glad I started to come here, I noticed I rarely get any ingrowns and not even itchy anymore than traditional hot wax. I've also noticed it's more effective on slower bush growth! Sugarette is definitely one of the best, if not the best, sugaring places I have been to. I had two services by two different staff (Jackie and Julia). Both were extremely thorough and honestly the pain was minimal. They were also both very friendly and easy to talk to so that helped keep my nerves at ease. I used to get my Brazilian hard waxed until a friend recommended I get sugared by Tanya. Safe to say I've never gone back to hard wax nor have I seeked anyone else for a service. She it so gentle with you skin and makes me feel comfortable. She has given honest feedback on how to care for my skin while the hair grows out. You can tell she has a passion for her career and family through the conversations we have during a session. Thankfully it even distracts you from the fact you're about to get your hair pulled out. Been here twice now - going on my third. I used to be an avid hard wax kind of gal but wanted to try sugaring after I heard so many great things about it. Found this place through Yelp and it was fairly easy setting up an appt and setting it up on the day/hour I needed it. I will admit I was kind of nervous at first but now I think hard wax hurts a little more. I don't know....might be different for others. On a scale from 1-10 on now painful it was I would rate it a 3.1 and I have a really low pain tolerance. I absolutely love the results which is why I'm making this place my regular go-to sugaring spot! Side note, carefully read the instructions on how to find the suite because it can be a little confusing especially your first time there. Staff is so kind and made me feel at ease! Personally not a fan of this place. Very small, overpriced, staff is mediocre at best and I didn't have a service worth trying again. Tried something new, was a bit thrown off by the price for sugaring Brazilian, $65 is a bit high, my hair is very very thin. Didn't feel like the girl who helped me had any concern about explaining to me what the service was, or make me comfortable since it was my first time there. The sugaring was so painful, I felt like she didn't really know what she was doing, it took longer than I'm used to, and she was stuck in my lower Brazilian area for a few tugs causing a bruise and some bleeding. Which has never happened to me during ANY sugaring or waxing. Then was quiet and awkward the rest of the service which was extremely uncomfortable. No accountability what so ever. Unfortunate. Really disappointed because this was close to my new uptown home. Not somewhere I would go again, not worth the risk. read more

Parking is very easy (street parking + a lot behind the building) & great location. I had a bit of a tough time finding the entrance but once I did it was so easy lol. Tanya didn't service me but she was very kind & professional. The cleanliness of the studio also deserves an A+ Julia did my sugaring & I couldn't be happier with my results.
