This was my third time at sugared sol but the first time at the Brea Location. Absolutely love the new location, its much more visible, the interior is very cute and rooms are spacious. My appt was with Christina and her technique is very gentle and as painless as you can get for a wax. Christina was very warm and makes you feel very comfortable. They have availability almost everyday with several staff members so even on a last minute need, I'm usually able to schedule an appointment. I usually schedule with Lauren. And company interaction styles irl are not my style. I am obvi the only one This was my first time getting sugared. I have been getting my legs waxed for years. I have tried hard wax soft wax Sugar waxing is the wild west of waxing joints! I was presented with the bed covered in a sheet I requested something to cover myself and a wrap tall was tossed on the bed "Like one of these" they said in their slow western drawl (not really, there was no fun accent, or cowboy hat) The room is kept cooler and when the large strip is pulled there is not a hold on your skin for counter balance like when getting traditional wax. So your skin rides the wave of pull the entire time. Straight back-no saddle The room is spattered with sugar sticky like an artist studio so while you lay there know it is not blood from a bar fight I shared with the attendant did not expect it to be more painful than waxing-I have never done it before and attendant (Madison) replied "ya, it is." It is already awkward being nearly naked in front of a person no saddle sugaring you and I wrongly trued engaging in small talk I asked so- what is the differences between waxing vs. sugaring She shared "ingredients" It was my bad-and I was beginning to feel I had wrong this person in another life and remained as quiet as possible I opted to skip underarms at the end because of the amount of plucking that is needed after doing sugaring and communicated I would completely pay for the service. I did not need to stay longer than needed. Cutely decorated entrance and I love the colors Not the vibe for me. I do appreciate it seems like hard work and it takes a lot of brute strength to retrieve the laid out brown sugaring. For a higher end cost of service I expected something different. Of course there is always some mild discomfort in sensitive areas but never too painful. I have gone to Christina and Maddie and they both do a wonderful job! Found this hidden gem on yelp and decided to visit after reading so many positive reviews. Can I start off by saying that this shop is so fabulous and clean. The restroom was spick and span with feminine hygiene products available. They offer small snacks, treats and beverages for guests. The wallpaper and setup is so cute I found myself staring at the walls and portraits. As for my sugaring results, I couldn't be happier. My esthetician ensured not 1 hair was left behind. I did underarms, nape of neck hairline, and sideburns. It was about $80 but I would definitely say the experience was worth it. I forgot my estheticians name but she was very sweet and when she needed help to remove my hairline, she asked whom I believe is the owner/manager of the shop. As a supervisor myself, it made me extremely happy that the manager stepped in for support and guidance. I think this might've been one of my most painful moments BUT with good reason. They removed EVERY unwanted hair and left me looking stunningly smooth. My boyfriend gave me so many compliments so yes, try this shop out! I usually go to Downtown sugar near my home but I work in Fullerton so when I need an emergency sugar after work, I will definitely be coming back here to get pampered. read more
