I messaged the company through yelp and within minutes they replied, which I thought was amazing! To make it better they explained exactly where to find the location as it's within a big salon place. Once I arrived I had to wait outside, which I thought was a bit odd. But then after going inside I understood why. It's a one person room which I thought is really good, as it's a small company. To add on top of that, the lady (Gina) was super nice and friendly. Especially, being a male and getting waxed she made me feel so welcomed and I felt like I was a long time customer. I've been going to Gina since I moved here and she is the Queen of Wax. She's not only extremely knowledgeable (which is really important when you let any practitioner work on your skin) but she's also super personable. Her place, Waxxx'd, that she opened in the Sola Salons, is a little haven. She's made her space very warm and inviting. Look for it by walking all the way down the hallway (she's in the very back). I texted her for an appointment but it looks like you can make an appointment with her on Yelp and she has 100% response rate within an hour so I'll be trying that next time. She is fast, efficient and takes the time to make sure that the wax is well-done. I get the Brazilian wax and it's pretty painless, which is his you know she is an expert at waxing. The studio is decorated in a lush, feminine way and she makes sure you have privacy to remove what's needed. Her set up is always clean and organized which puts me at ease. Gina is amazing! I got a Brazilian and my underarms done and once she was finished I didn't even notice she was done because I barely felt the "worst part" that I usually brace myself over. By the end I was like, "oh that's it?!" because of how quick the whole process was! With past experiences, I've done hard wax, soft wax, and even sugaring. In the past soft wax was the MOST painful almost excruciating type of waxes I've endured. And Gina uses soft wax SO it's crazy how this was definitely TOP 2 of the LEAST painful services I've ever gotten, if not the most painless! Recently started working in Brea and I usually try to find personal services (haircut, brows, waxing, etc) so I can get things done during my lunch. With the 4th of July holiday rapidly approaching and pool time, I needed to get my back waxed. I looked in Yelp and although the price was higher than others, the reviews and and Gina's responsiveness is what sealed the deal. She returned my voicemail left on her work phone within 15 minutes and she had an opening today for 11:30. I got there a little bit early and sat in her room and waited for less than a minute. Observations: - Room was super clean - Organized - Aesthetically pleasing - Comfortable - Warm environment Gina came in and I felt instantly comfortable. She was friendly, full of energy and really sweet and kind. There was no uncomfortable feeling of being vulnerable, embarrassed, etc. It was like spending 20 minutes with with someone you already knew. The waxing... it's never painless, but it was the least painful that I've had done. She was quick, thorough, and made sure I was satisfied with the service.
