I loved the variety and I ended up buying a cute birthday card, birthday spells, candles, and a bar of soap. All 4 came out to about $40 which is a little higher but it is all locally sourced & owned so I don't mind paying a bit more. read more

Very cute store but my encounter here today left kind of a weird taste in my mouth. I came in and was looking at products and even asked someone working there her opinion on which hair clip to buy. I walked around the store holding the hair clips (walking towards the register) but was asked to hold them at the counter while I shopped. Fine. It was kind of a weird vibe but decided to chalk it up to them being helpful. But then after spending a decent amount of money I asked to use the restroom as I'm pregnant and it was a bit of an emergency. They said I couldn't (again, fine) but mentioned it's because they have merchandise back there. It really just felt like I was being treated like I was on the verge of shoplifting the whole time, even when literally buying things. Maybe me wearing a mask made them nervous? (My husband who was with me has lymphoma and is undergoing chemo so I can't afford to get either of us sick at the moment.) It all just kind of bummed me out. Maybe they just had some tough encounters with people lately. read more

Cute store with great products but beware, their return policy sucks. I bought a solid dish soap and it didn't work well at all. It didn't break down the grease and left my dishes quite gross, even after multiple tries. Instead of letting me return the product or take a store credit, I was told to contact the company that makes the product in Brooklyn. (The company happens to be on a break for two and a half weeks for the new year.) I think a store should stand behind its products, and allow customers to at least get store credit when the products are not good. It shouldn't be up to the customer to contact the maker. It was quite expensive too, $15. Unfortunately this store lost a customer, I really liked going for gifts and other home products. read more

I am SO happy I stumbled into Luca -- I was going to drop by Whole Foods for a Cocokind highlighter I've been eyeing, but to my delight, they had it here! Christiana was so kind to help me decide on a shade that would work best for my skintone and even let me sample them.
