TarotArts has an amazing assortment of tarot and oracle decks. They also have crystals, books, and so much more. As soon as you walk in, theres a room with tarot and oracle cards as well as other spiritual needs. When you're done with that room, there's even more! A bigger room with an even bigger selection. My favorite tarot shop ever! Phillip and William own this beautiful, charming space in Pasadena. They are extremely knowledgable of all things tarot, oracle and all things cartomantic. I guarantee this is the largest collection of decks most people have ever seen walking in and to top it off, they have demo decks available for almost everything. 95% of my collection is from TarotArts. You can try gorgeous historic reproduction by Il Minengelo or the latest decks from big publishers or even independent artists like Daniel Martin Diaz. They also have great readers most days such as Jennifer, Juliet and James. I've taken their tarot beginner series classes and the rarer one-off classes exploring the history of tarot decks. The prices are very reasonable for the instruction you get and the community is so kind and welcoming. The last thing I want to mention is they also have special author events when deck creators or book authors come in to talk about their work. It was amazing to meet Lorriane Anderson and Laetitia Barbier. There is plenty street parking nearby and lots of coffeeshops and (boba) tea houses. The space is family and dog-friendly. read more

I wanted options (they have tons). I wanted artsy decks [them too!] and I wanted small altar candles [they had all the colors except gold and orange. So I'll be back]. Ok so I have to rave. This place is just the best. I have driven from West Hollywood to South Pasadena just to go here. This is the only tarot store I know of in LA... I know some spiritual shops have them but this is truly a tarot emporium. Their selection is beyond anything I could have expected. It doesn't seem nearly as big as it is from the street so I was pleasantly surprised. I had so much fun getting lost in the store and looking through so many decks (many of which they have open so you can actually look at the cards). Thank you to the excellent recommendations given to me, I ended up finding a deck that I am in love with! When I was there, I found out they had a tarot class the following week, so I signed up and had a really nice experience. It was intimate, incredibly detailed, interactive, and pretty interesting. I love the spiritual niche shops and there just aren't enough in LA. And frankly... not enough that are aesthetically pleasing, besides the ones that have more of a corporate chain feel. I really appreciate that Tarot Arts is more of an experience than a store, and give credit to the owners who didn't mind the thousand questions I asked while rejecting suggestion after suggestion. The store is wonderful! it has a highend boutique look but you don't pay outrages prices. The decks and products are all reasonably priced and you get to support a local shop instead of the online powerhouse. The selection is fantastic and they also carry a selection of independently produced decks! This is rare and really nice to see that included in the selection. The owners are a married couple that are so kind to everyone who comes in and try their best to help everyone. And the book and deck selection here- UNMATCHED! Only other place that has even close to this many decks is in Santa Monica, and even then this place blows them out of the water! Everything is organized, they have almost any deck you can think of and some AMAZING historical tarot pieces that are jaw dropping.
