Love the TarotArts store, I've bought 3 decks from this store. Sometimes I just come in to browse, sometimes I leave with a purchase. The owners are very nice and not pushy at all. I usually spend about 15 minutes to an hour in their store. I never feel rushed or unwelcomed. I love coming here because I'm very tactile and feel like it's very important to see the cards (colors, art detail) and feel the cardstock, see if I connect with a deck, how the cards shuffle in-person. It's not possible to get all those details from shopping or watching a flip-through online. Almost every deck they sell has a demo deck on display. It's nice that sometimes they have both free and paid talks/events here. This is actually one of my favorite metaphysical stores I've ever been to. Some stores are too cluttered/dirty/cramped or do not have enough card selection, but TarotArts is very clean and organized, doesn't all kind of odds & ends that other stores tend to have. They have a little of everything without being excessive. Today I learned they have another small area in the back of the store with more shelves. I noticed that their website is not updated, so it might say out of stock online but it's been restocked on the shelf in the store so if something is showing out of stock, it's best to call and check. They carry mostly mass market/big publisher decks, but also have some lesser known/independent decks too. Wish they carried more indie decks in the future. Very nice store to shop for yourself or for gifts. Also really great location because there are cute shops and eateries nearby. Street parking is also free and easy to find. read more

Had brunch with a girlfriend on a friday and we stumbled across TarotArts on Yelp. I am so happy we did because i fell in LOVE with this magical place. TarotArts has an amazing assortment of tarot and oracle decks. They also have crystals, books, and so much more. As soon as you walk in, theres a room with tarot and oracle cards as well as other spiritual needs. When you're done with that room, there's even more! A bigger room with an even bigger selection. I could have spent all day in TarotArts. Such a beautiful collection of all things spiritual and welcoming staff. They even served tea for you to sip on while browsing. Love love love read more

Stopped here because my sister wanted to. She fell in love with the shop. We even got to chat with the two gentlemen there. Their selection of tarot decks and oracle decks is so vast that my sister was just in awe of everything. I finally got the oracle deck and the tarot book I've been eyeing for a while. When selecting a Tarot deck it's important to pick one that aligns with your energy and resonates with you. Each deck carries its own energy and symbolism, which can influence your connection with the cards. Owners Phil Gibson & William Toro understand this, which is why they expertly curated their shop so clients could browse in a relaxed setting. The shop is very organized and has a warm, inviting feel and a peaceful atmosphere. On the day of my visit, Phil was there. He was so sweet and happy to answer my questions. My favorite tarot shop ever! Phillip and William own this beautiful, charming space in Pasadena. They are extremely knowledgable of all things tarot, oracle and all things cartomantic. I guarantee this is the largest collection of decks most people have ever seen walking in and to top it off, they have demo decks available for almost everything. 95% of my collection is from TarotArts. You can try gorgeous historic reproduction by Il Minengelo or the latest decks from big publishers or even independent artists like Daniel Martin Diaz. They also have great readers most days such as Jennifer, Juliet and James. I've taken their tarot beginner series classes and the rarer one-off classes exploring the history of tarot decks. The prices are very reasonable for the instruction you get and the community is so kind and welcoming. The last thing I want to mention is they also have special author events when deck creators or book authors come in to talk about their work. It was amazing to meet Lorriane Anderson and Laetitia Barbier. There is plenty street parking nearby and lots of coffeeshops and (boba) tea houses. The space is family and dog-friendly. read more

The vibe is peaceful and welcoming, and the store is spacious and beautifully laid out. Even with a huge selection of decks, crystals, books, and more, it never feels cluttered or overwhelming. You can also book a tarot or palm reading here as well! The staff is friendly and helpful, but not at all pushy, which I really appreciate. You can take your time exploring and feel at ease while doing so. I spent lots of time browsing through decks, incense, and other curated goods. There's no dedicated parking lot, but I found street parking pretty easily, so it wasn't an issue. If you're into tarot or just starting to explore, this place is definitely worth a visit. I think Phillip is the one who runs the store. He is so attentive, and knowledgeable. Once I went William was there but he wasn't feeling well. I have plenty Tarot Cards. My son brought me a gift card last year for Christmas. I waited maybe 6 month to use it. I purchased the Golden Dawn Tarot and The Poe Tarot. I got the usual 'House of Intuition' recs and then stumbled on the fact that Tarot Arts is 2 miles from my house, in unassuming So Pasadena?! It was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted options (they have tons). I wanted artsy decks [them too!] and I wanted small altar candles [they had all the colors except gold and orange. So I'll be back]. They gave me a tour through the shop highlighting sections & foci and offered for me to sit at the center table to check out decks. Ok so I have to rave. This place is just the best. I have driven from West Hollywood to South Pasadena just to go here. This is the only tarot store I know of in LA... I know some spiritual shops have them but this is truly a tarot emporium. Their selection is beyond anything I could have expected. It doesn't seem nearly as big as it is from the street so I was pleasantly surprised. I had so much fun getting lost in the store and looking through so many decks (many of which they have open so you can actually look at the cards). Thank you to the excellent recommendations given to me, I ended up finding a deck that I am in love with! When I was there, I found out they had a tarot class the following week, so I signed up and had a really nice experience. It was intimate, incredibly detailed, interactive, and pretty interesting. I love the spiritual niche shops and there just aren't enough in LA. And frankly... not enough that are aesthetically pleasing, besides the ones that have more of a corporate chain feel. I really appreciate that Tarot Arts is more of an experience than a store, and give credit to the owners who didn't mind the thousand questions I asked while rejecting suggestion after suggestion. Stumbled into this store today with my whole family and we stayed for over an hour. This place has the largest selection of different kinds of Tarot decks and best of all- it's not a closet, like so many divination shops can be...here there is space to walk around, look, and explore! The store is wonderful! it has a highend boutique look but you don't pay outrages prices. The decks and products are all reasonably priced and you get to support a local shop instead of the online powerhouse. The selection is fantastic and they also carry a selection of independently produced decks! This is rare and really nice to see that included in the selection. I drive 30 minutes from sun valley to Pasadena to make it here to my favorite store! This place is truly amazing. The owners are a married couple that are so kind to everyone who comes in and try their best to help everyone. And the book and deck selection here- UNMATCHED! Only other place that has even close to this many decks is in Santa Monica, and even then this place blows them out of the water! Everything is organized, they have almost any deck you can think of and some AMAZING historical tarot pieces that are jaw dropping. I got my first tarot deck (lucid dreams tarot highly recommend) and it's so amazing I can wait to go back for more decks. 10/10! read more
