I have been here several times and have had different experiences. They haven't been the worse, but definitely haven't always been the best. Even then, I still gave the salon a chance because the experiences haven't been terrible...until today. Today, at about 2pm, I walked in to get a fill on my acrylics which I got almost 2 weeks ago...I walked in and there were 2 ladies sitting at the furthest pedicure chairs, one was visibly asleep. I checked in and waited for about 5 minutes as the other woman was on her phone watching videos or something. Soon after, she nodded off and she also fell asleep! The place is well lit and they are welcoming. I think many customers (ladies) are not accustom to seeing a lot of guys there by themselves. I walked in on a very busy holiday and my daughter and I are able to come in within 30 minutes. I like the final results so i'll list my pros and cons. I noticed that they were gloves, re reused them- a bit concerning. i was convinced to add a spa manicure for the massaging but when it was time, the massaging was very fast and rough on my arms and neck. Very uncomfortable as she asked if I was enjoying LOL.. Lastly, my foot massage was nice but..when the callous scrubbing time came, I think I lost a layer of my skin cause scrubbed it so hard it burned. I came here and I made an appointment through this app. My appointment was at 9:30. They were late. They didn't open up until 945 when I got there, I waited 10 minutes before they started on me. What's the use of having an appointment , that lady" Sandy did my toenails and she keeps on changing the price on me very rude. Poor customer service. I will never come back to this place again. She did a terrible job. She kept on telling me five dollars then $10 this she just keeps on upping the prices on everything but I do have to say the lady that did my nails my full set. She was very nice so I gave her a big tip. This is how you gonna lose your customers. You can't keep on changing the prices on somebody else comes in. Cindy did my pedicure pretty good and I would give her another try. I would rate her a 3.7 on the scale of 1 to 5 and 5 being the highest. She was pleasant and helpful. However Tracy, well that's another story...she did a below average job and she was NOT pleasant. I would rate her a 2 on a scale of 1 to 5 and 5 being highest. She was rushing me and did NOT provide me with a good customer service experience. I would rate 3 stars but Tracy ruined that...... UPDATE: my gel nails did not last a week....generally my experience at other nail salons, my gel nails last an entire 2 to 3 weeks, so this is a 1st. Unacceptable because gel nails cost a premium for the benefit of lasting at least 2 weeks. Also, the polish on my tools started chipping and didn't last. Generally toe polish last longer naturally because one is not washing their feet throughout the day like the hands, but NOPE, this was not the case. I'm thinking the polish was no good. Either way I want go back to Glamorous Nail Spa as the quality was poor and I paid $120 for a gel mani and regular pedicure. It just wasn't worth it. I'm sure I can find a nail salons in Whittier that used higher quality polish and experienced top notch nail techs or maybe I need to go to Downey. read more

As a mom with a newborn, it can be so challenging to make appointments and stick to it, so sometimes you have to stop in whenever you can. I called and made an appointment on the way to the shop, and was able to come in right away. I booked it for an acrylic full set with gel polish. This next part I thought about not being honest about because I didn't want to upset anyone, but the results were not what I asked for. I had to rush out to pick up my son and I could not address any of the issues. There were a few things that were wrong and after taking a closer look, I had to call back to correct the manicure. The owner was able to book me for another appointment and review the mistakes. He was able to deliver on the results I was looking for and what impressed me the most was that he took the time to teach the initial nail tech on how to correct these in the future. Ask for an acrylic or gel x full set with gel polish. You'll need a nude base and French mani for the color. Add a top layer of a sheer white polish "Funny Bunny" over the French for a more milky, natural look. I got gel x with gel polish, pedicure #2 with gel polish and powder on my big toe. Total came out to $130, plus i left $15 tip plus $3 charge for paying with card, okay so im leaving already in the car , the owner who did my nails comes out running, i thought i had forgotten something? Walked in and check in on an iPad--there was no wait and when I was seated I noticed how comfortable the new massage chairs were. I have been looking for a new nail spot and I was just driving down the street and noticed the green salon sign and decided to stop and check it out. This is the best blind find I've had in a while. I wanted to remove my current acrylics with a soak and get a gel manicure, pedicure. Sandy was my manicurist and Cindy did the Pedi. Sandy was very patient and gave me the best neck/back massage which was unexpected. I forgot the name of the service combo but it was the 1 above a regular basic mani/pedi. Sandy was so patient with the acrylic removal and paid attention to details to make sure not to hurt me. She attempted to save as much of my natural nail as possible when I told her I wanted a round, not square shape. The pics may not look like a big deal but it is for me. It's hard to find a good manicurist who actually listens to your concerns. Finally the Pedi. Cindy did so good! I unfortunately did not show up with good nails. My toe nails were frail, breaking and I needed a lot of cleanup. I don't want to post my toes on here but just know they look 1000xs better than what I walked in with. Cindy is such a boss, she took care of all of it and was super gentle. She didn't hurt me once. Honestly, this was the most relaxing experience I've had in a while. I'm definitely coming back, this may be my new regular spot. As far as costs, it was around 105ish I believe. I talked to the owners husband, who was the one that responded below and at first they didn't apologize, just tried to justify what the nail tech did. It's okay to drill off product but not drill into people's nail beds, then they started to get apologetic. Please go somewhere else, Gelly Nails is a new nail place in La habra and I went there after and she took care of my nails really well. I came here for gel removal and manicure with no color for my job and the lady completely ruined my natural nail bed! I'm so sad because I spent a long time growing these nails and she just butchered them with her drill. I should have spoken up about her doing a proper soak off but that's my fault. This is what I get though. My nails are paper thin and now they are so sensitive. They don't care about your nails unless you're doing something expensive. read more
