No point in making an appt. Made 2 for 4 pm (called at 11 am) one got taken right away. The nail tech that was going to do my nails was giving an annoyed vibe and at the 4:15 mark I told them I don't want my nails done anymore. She didn't finish this girls til awhile after that. Frustration is don't make a reservation if you're going to make us wait. If we were 15 min let alone 10 min late to an appt we would be turned away. Then all the other workers decide to give attitude and talk under their breathe. I said no on principle. Mind you one had the nerve to say "she still has awhile for her (my friend) nails to be done" she was done at 4:40...haha Not worth it. Edit since you can't reply - her response is laughable. No one told me who was going to be doing my nails til 4:10. In that time I could observe that tech doing the girls nails next to me who seemed annoyed with her. Regardless, appointments aren't taken serious as 2 people walked in after us and they were started right away. Just poor time management. Had someone initially communicated the delay, it would have been fine, but to think on a busy day you're going to have your customer sit there without any communication is laughable. Hence why I cancelled services. Also, friend was done 15 min after the tech was done doing that girls nails, so she would have had to wait over 30+ min for me. No thanks. Just accept the mess up and move on. My issue is the lack of communication and making it seem like it's my bad for your mistake. Do better for those that attempt your salon again. ***also, my friend had to go back into the shop to have her nail fixed by another tech right after, forgot to mention this...but okay*** read more

Got my pedicure today and the lady kept insisting in doing my eyebrows, I kindly said no. Suddenly when she was done with my pedicure asked me to take off my glasses and started doing my eyebrows, I felt bad to say no, she used tweezers to do my eyebrows and left me with cuts! Went in to get my nails done and was helped quickly. I called in the same afternoon for an appointment and they had availability. I got gel x and a basic pedicure. I think the prices are very fair. It was $70 for short gelx and additional $25 for design, which I got design on all of my nails. I believe my pedicure was $40-45 but that was with added callous removal and gel polish. My friend took me to this nail salon in Whittier for my birthday, and it ended up being such a lovely experience. She made reservations ahead of time since this spot gets pretty busy, and I'm glad she did--once we arrived, they sat us immediately, right next to each other, and assigned our nail techs. The setup was super comfortable. The recliner chairs had massage rollers that actually worked (rare!), so we were able to relax, chat, and enjoy the time together. I originally wanted a full set with acrylic powder, but they don't offer that here, so I went with gel polish instead. Even so, the nail techs did a really nice job. They were precise, made sure all the nails matched in shape, and the gel went on smooth with no bubbles. During the pedicure, they were gentle and careful--something I really appreciated since some places can be a bit rough. The foot massage was amazing too. The whole salon feels very clean and hygienic, which made the experience even better. It does get very busy, especially on weekends, so I'd definitely recommend booking ahead like we did. Overall, we had a great experience, and I'd happily come back again. read more

Ruby usually does my nails if it's gel-x. There is a bit of a wait on the weekend, but they're honest. They're not like places that say they can take you in 10 minutes and leave you waiting. I have been going here for over a year, specifically using Kayla. There has been two instances that I had an appointment but when I got there Kayla had called out and wasn't there. No one called to let me know not to come in. I said nothing just understood that things happen. I missed an appointment with Kayla two weeks ago due to a radiation appointment that ran over and I had no way to call and let her know at the time. I went in today in person to reschedule and was told by Kayla that I could only come in as a walk in (no appointment allowed) because I was a no show (one time) and her time is valuable. ARE YOU KIDDING! I'm not sure if she is the Queen of Whittier or what, but apparently her time is much more valuable than her customers time. I have never been treated so horrible or made to feel so worthless at a place of service where I'm the one paying!! I will NEVER RECOMMEND OR GO HERE AGAIN!! Please join me in giving your hard earned money to businesses that respect and care about their customers.
