Jus went in here for a fill after going elsewhere and my nails lifting within a week. This place was close by and it looked clean. They were busy however they got me in for next day at 11 am. They were prompt and respected their scheduled appointments. I didn't catch the nail techs name but she was patient and thorough. My nails were only $35 and I left a $5 tip. There was no charge to use a credit card. Over all very satisfied with the service. Will report back on retention in a few.
Tammy always does a great job with my nails!! I love going here! Her retention lasts so long, my nails would last me a month and a half!

I recently got a set done with a mix of frenzy tips, flowers, and strawberries--and I'm obsessed! Whether you're looking for something classic or fun and trendy, this place always delivers. Highly recommend!

I'm so disappointed that I paid a visit to this salon. It's everything that makes a bad or mediocre salon, absolutely terrible. This place is the worst for these reasons: 1) During my visit my nail tech probably answered six phone calls. She didn't have an ear piece so she stopped what she was doing to write down new appointments in a huge planner book. I don't think she truly picked up where she left off on my feet and all I could see were that my toe nails were different shapes and lengths. 2) I didn't appreciate the constant laughter and taunting. I felt instinctively that they were laughing at their customers (and probably at me) and not necessarily at a joke. What could be so funny for 45 minutes straight? Unprofessional to say the least. If they were not in fact laughing at me, at any rate, it made for an uncomfortable experience. 3) Because the nail tech was taking phone calls, the services took forever! Not a good use of my time. 4) Unsanitary! At every salon I've visited since the pandemic (or maybe earlier than that), the tech takes out sterilized equipment from a blue sealed bag. This establishment DOES NOT. The equipment used is just lying around from a previous customer. I was mortified. Aren't they in health violation? 4) Super rough technique! The tech sanded down my foot and practically burned me with the abrasion. She also clipped my nail bed so bad it got infected. Now I have to pay a visit to Urgent Care to get this taken care of! 5) Value - not even worth it. Not close. Over priced and unsanitary tools with rude service to boot. I paid $85 for a gel mani pedi without any add-ons. What a rip off. 6) Vibe - dated and dingy. I am kicking myself for coming here. Do yourself a favor and run as far as you can from this place!
I've been coming to Tropical Nails for months and I'm always happy with my gel manicure. Tammy is amazing--she truly cares about her work, never rushes, and will redo designs until they're perfect. The salon is clean, the staff is friendly, and the quality is outstanding. My gel lasts 3-4 weeks with no lifting. Highly recommend for beautiful, long-lasting nails!

Tammy is great. I'm going up to Sebastopol, Ca to pick apples with a friend I've known for 65 years. I wanted something special and during my appointment I asked if she could do apples. She did a wonderful job even tho I didn't book the extra time. I felt bad and said she didn't have to do the hand and arm massage so she could catch up but she did it anyway!!! They are beautiful!! I love this salon so much!! The worker are so sweet and considerate. They're also super talented and can do basically any design. Tammy was my manicurist and she did an amazing job with my gel X! I've been here 3 times now and have been helped almost instantly when arriving (usually right after work 5/530pm) Tammy does a great job! I went to get my nails done for first time at tropical nails . I got (gel mani and reg) pedicure. My first impression was that it seems like they talk about everyone that walks in and even laugh. Pretty awkward and uncomfortable. After getting nails done about Four hours later my gel mani started to come off. I went back the next day Sat, and they fixed it. But then a few hours later 5 other gel nails came off. Obviously their product is no good in quality. I definitely don't recommend unless you want to return a couple of times to get gel nails fixed . read more

This is by far the best nail shop I've ever been to. Jody has been doing my nails for 8 years and does really intricate designs. If you want something really specific, have time, and a source photo make an appointment with her with a 2-3 hour block of time. All the ladies in here are amazing and you really can't beat the prices. read more

Since I'm getting married soon, I really appreciated their service!!! This lil hole in the wall salon was absolutely phenomenal. Everyone there was so friendly and hardworking. I decided to do manicure acrylic nails and a regular pedicure with a French tip. I was a little hesitant about trying acrylic nails for the first time, but the process was so pleasant and smooth as the lady fit them in seamlessly and quite perfectly. It was such a breeze having Tammy work on my nails. She is an amazing artist and gives superb attention to detail. The result looks so stunning and I can't wait to look all fancy for my wedding! This place a worth the time and price! I will DEF be coming back with more of my home girls! read more

I'm giving one Star because although I've been going here for almost a year .. last week I went and a younger girl did my pedicure that resulted in two big toe infections. I had to go to urgent care get them drained and go on antibiotics. I hope after reading this review the clean their tools better read more

First timer here, I had a specific design I wanted and you never know if your nail tech can do design so I knew it was a toss up, especially going somewhere new. But WOW she was so spot on to the picture it was literally a replica Im super satisfied LOVE the design and now plan on coming back often! read more

A few sets I've had there , not gonna lie my nails last every time never has one fell or broke off.. each time I go everyone is so polite and considerate of your wants and needs. Whatever it is you want they make you feel comfortable and try to achieve it. I typically don't write reviews much but I had to for this service it was so great and lately that's hard to find in a nail shop read more

How much is a pedicure? What different pedicures do they have?
Do they do great designs? I have been to most reputable places in the La Habra, Brea, Fullerton area but seen to have a tough time getting decent nail art.
Ask for Jody. You'll need a 2 hour appointment depending on how intricate the design is. And you can get around the appointment, she's usually booked.
Is this salon well-ventilated? Asking because I'm pregnant but I need a pedicure!
I went here recently and they kept their front door open so there was a breeze. It didn't feel warm in there however I am not sure if they use AC.
