Jus went in here for a fill after going elsewhere and my nails lifting within a week. This place was close by and it looked clean. They were busy however they got me in for next day at 11 am. They were prompt and respected their scheduled appointments. I didn't catch the nail techs name but she was patient and thorough. My nails were only $35 and I left a $5 tip. There was no charge to use a credit card. Over all very satisfied with the service. Will report back on retention in a few. read more

I'm so disappointed that I paid a visit to this salon. It's everything that makes a bad or mediocre salon, absolutely terrible. This place is the worst for these reasons: 1) During my visit my nail tech probably answered six phone calls. She didn't have an ear piece so she stopped what she was doing to write down new appointments in a huge planner book. I don't think she truly picked up where she left off on my feet and all I could see were that my toe nails were different shapes and lengths. 2) I didn't appreciate the constant laughter and taunting. I felt instinctively that they were laughing at their customers (and probably at me) and not necessarily at a joke. What could be so funny for 45 minutes straight? Unprofessional to say the least. If they were not in fact laughing at me, at any rate, it made for an uncomfortable experience. 3) Because the nail tech was taking phone calls, the services took forever! Not a good use of my time. 4) Unsanitary! At every salon I've visited since the pandemic (or maybe earlier than that), the tech takes out sterilized equipment from a blue sealed bag. This establishment DOES NOT. The equipment used is just lying around from a previous customer. I was mortified. Aren't they in health violation? 4) Super rough technique! The tech sanded down my foot and practically burned me with the abrasion. She also clipped my nail bed so bad it got infected. Now I have to pay a visit to Urgent Care to get this taken care of! 5) Value - not even worth it. Not close. Over priced and unsanitary tools with rude service to boot. I paid $85 for a gel mani pedi without any add-ons. What a rip off. 6) Vibe - dated and dingy. I am kicking myself for coming here. Do yourself a favor and run as far as you can from this place! read more

I went to get my nails done for first time at tropical nails . I got (gel mani and reg) pedicure. My first impression was that it seems like they talk about everyone that walks in and even laugh. Pretty awkward and uncomfortable. After getting nails done about Four hours later my gel mani started to come off. I went back the next day Sat, and they fixed it. Unity nails down the street charges about same for their services & their customer service is 1000% better! The lady who did my nails has red hair & she is very unprofessional, she kept cutting me, barely cleaned my nails & is horrible at shaping. I literally busted out Yelp and read the reviews to her.. telling her that many people have the same complaints as me she just shrugged it off & made it seem like they were FAKE reviews. Since I'm getting married soon, I really appreciated their service!!! This lil hole in the wall salon was absolutely phenomenal. Everyone there was so friendly and hardworking. I decided to do manicure acrylic nails and a regular pedicure with a French tip. I was a little hesitant about trying acrylic nails for the first time, but the process was so pleasant and smooth as the lady fit them in seamlessly and quite perfectly. It was such a breeze having Tammy work on my nails. She is an amazing artist and gives superb attention to detail. The result looks so stunning and I can't wait to look all fancy for my wedding! I've been getting my acrylics, gel, and pedicures here for a while. Every time they are very accommodating, kind, and patient when I switch colors- even mid way. Love Tiffany and Lynn but everyone is great. Lynn, is super special. When there's time she also gives arm and shoulder massages that are seriously competitive with Massage Envy. Today, she got a kink out of my shoulder that's been there for months AND my nails look great. Anyway, if you want a new nail place, call Tropical Nails. They are the IT place for me. read more

The nails I grew out for months are now uneven stubs. So short, I can't scratch an itch or peel a label. I'm an on/off nail biter. My nails had growin out nicely and the nail bed was healing well. This visit set back months of progress. I talked with Lynne about being a nail biter and that my nails were thin. I wanted them trimmed to the length and shape of my finger tips. Long story short, some of my nails are too short to the point that the nail bed is sore and the nail is lifting. While others are much longer. When I saw them, I tried to minimize the damage and said they were too short, not to take anymore off. She argued that they weren't and that she had cut them based on the size of each nail bed and each of my nail beds were different. So I had some nails past the tips and some stubs and 1/4 inch back from the tip. She filed them down even shorter and filed the tops of my nails after I said they were thin. They've been sore for 2 days from being cut/filed down to the nail bed. read more
