This is my second time coming here and what a disappointment. My first time I left with crooked nails and so did my sister-in-law. This time was worse. They used powder for my little sister-in-law and tried to give her ugly, thick, crooked, and uneven nails. They tried blaming her nail bed as if her nail beds were the reason they piled on powder and powder until they were thick and tall as skyscrapers. When I asked the nail tech to thin them out because they were thick the lady sitting behind the check in desk raised her voice at me and blamed it on my sister-in-law's nail beds. She said "it's cause of her nails!" And I said no it isn't. They started speaking in their language as if we can't tell they're speaking badly about us for asking them to fix their mistake. As soon as we got there, they waited for us to be seated in a chair with our shoes off and feet in water then give us a price asked if that price worked . If I can give this place zero stars I would. Worst place ever! I went to get my nails done for my birthday, my sisters birthday as well and our other sister also came along. We left utterly disappointed and devastated! These people are soo unprofessional and have such bad attitudes. When you are paying for a service of course you're going to voice your concerns on how they're doing your nails. All they did was complain and make excuses on why they couldn't fix certain things. They rushed doing our nails and I literally came home crying for how awful they are. Really bummed. I showed a very simple photo of French tips acrylics. The shape was different, the base color was different, and the thickness of the tip was different by the time she was done. All very off. I tried to make comments throughout to subtly redirect but she did not acknowledge them. I've been coming to Crystal Nails for the last 2 years and there's a reason for it. Even though they allow walk-in's, I always call ahead and make an appointment to ensure my spot. My nail tech, Thuy (pronounced "Tee") is great, she's understanding and very accommodating to what I want done and she always does a great job! I appreciate they have various payment options as well. Depending on when you go they can get pretty busy at times, but when it's a slow period the vibe can feel pretty relaxed in there. This place gave me a strange vibe. I just wanted a simple pedicure for an event, nothing crazy. I had nail strips that I picked out specifically for the event and I was really excited to use them since they matched my dress perfectly. From the second I said that I just wanted a simple nail polish (not gel) pedicure, I just felt ... judged? Like, I couldn't afford the mani/pedi combo, or something? I pointed to what I wanted on their "menu" multiple times and I felt like they were purposely mishearing me and repeating it to try to guilt me into something I didn't want. The pedicure was fine, like they did an adequate job on my nails, but they also managed to suck all the fun out of it until I just wanted to walk out the door. Walked in on a Friday afternoon for a gel mani and pedi without an appointment, it was my first time and they sat me right away. I waited only a couple minutes before being worked on. Mimi did my pedicure and took her time, she was very sweet and friendly. A different lady worked on my mani, not sure of her name but she did an awesome job also and even gave me a hand massage for free. Wendy is amazing when it comes to nails! I stumbled upon this place when I wanted a manicure to treat myself and Wendy absolutely nailed it (lol). Overall the salon is well equipped and the other ladies there are friendly and attentive. I've noticed the wait can be quite long, definitely make an appointment ahead of time, but the service is always welcoming and they don't rush you out (hence the long ish wait times). They definitely take their time and make sure your nails are spectacular and you feel great. Came here because of the good reviews but left disappointed and regretting I chose this place. First, there are signs before you walk in that masks are required but two workers were maskless, and more joined them as they finished with their customers. Someone's relative came in to bring dinner and walked around maskless too. Again, why have the signs up if you're not going to follow them yourselves? Halfway through my time there they turned off the AC and opened the door, mind you it's 97 degrees out today so not great in regards to circulating air. I got a deluxe pedicure and when I sat down they shoved a bucket of gel nails in my lap but I just wanted regular gel. I understand trying to upsell but the way she just dropped them in my lap was rude. When I said I just wanted regular polish she threw another pack at me to look through. They didn't have the color I wanted but not a huge deal so I picked another one. But when I still got the wrong color applied, it was just another annoying thing. Their instruments came out on a metal dish (not packaged) which I guess we should assume we're sanitized but I honestly wouldn't know. They don't use gloves, which I find so unsanitary! My nail tech, Hoa, cut me so that wasn't fun either. When it came to paying they pushed hard for their customers to use venmo and even when you try to tip in cash they aggressively tell/suggest you do it through venmo. Another customer's venmo wasn't working but instead of accepting another form of payment they kept giving her different QR code's to try until she got it to work. I don't mind paying establishments through venmo but on top of everything else, it just felt classless. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend this place and will not be coming back. read more

BEWARE this salon uses illegal MMA monomer. I take very good care of my nails and this place ruined them. Legal acrylic should flake off after soaking in acetone for 15 mins. I got a full set here three weeks ago and tried to remove them tonight. I let them soak for over 40 mins and kept trying to remove without damaging my nail but they became gooy and I had to scrape my real nail off.
