Nice and attentive staff. Clean environment. They have 2 TV's with different shows playing on each, no sound but it's fine. One show is Deal or No Deal and the other is Funniest Videos. They have a salt water aquarium w/a Nimo & Dora over by their nail stations. They play nice music on overhead speaker, usually a variety. I've had a full (acrylic) set w/gel and gel pedicure done there and I'm very pleased with their work. They pay attention to detail. They have a huge variety of polish colors to choose from. Let's start with No one is friendly ! They seem moody all the time . I came in with strong real natural nails . She thinned out my nails so much I was able to bend them. They were super thin And sensitive. I asked her why did she do that and she couldn't answer me ! anyways I just wanted a manicure and a pretty yellow French tip. She could not do a French tip she tried over and over and over again. I was there probably for an extra 35 minutes just working on French tips. She was getting frustrated which was making me frustrated. I ended up leaving with just plain Nails ! . SUCKS! Oooh she ask for help and no one wanted to help her with a French tip . I've been here a few times in 2025. It was decent. Not anymore. THIS PLACE IS NASTY!!! I went here recently and the first thing I saw was a huge COCKRACH running across the floor. I was in a rush to get my nails done, so I continued. I know, dumb on my part! Overall, it doesn't seem very clean at all. I feel like the owner wasn't there? Maybe this impacted the service. My pedicure was sloppy. Another person worked on my nails, and he was fine but also a little messy. I noticed when I got home he left a bunch of nail polish on my finger. Then, at the end the person who checked me out seemed to chastise me for not leaving a big enough tip to split amongst 3 people. That's rude. There's a reason I didn't tip a lot! The place was gross and the mani and pedi were mediocre and messy. I'm not sure if it's a trend but this pressure to tip on CRAPPY service has happened to me at another local salon as well. Quit being so agressive! My daughters manicure was sloppy and lumpy. I don't think I'll be going back. I also booked online with a specific person but I don't think their online booking system works at all because they seemed confused when I talked about booking my appointment online. They do not use proper sanitation during clients. I walked in for a pedicure and the lady doing my service did not take her gloves off she used from her previous client she then proceeded to change clean disposables while she now has contaminated mine. So nasty . This is exactly how and why people get fungus and infections. Also rushing through my pedicure for no reason , there is no people waiting and the service I got is very unprofessional overall. However, this last time I went, I got dip nails and the next day my index finger nail was chipping. I went to get it fixed, but then the day after that, the other nails started to chip. I called again to schedule to get it fixed, but I didn't go back the second time. I shouldn't have to be coming in to get it fixed a week after I had them done. They would've had to do my whole hand all over again. For the price they charge for dip, the nails should last longer than a week. I came here on a whim as a walk in gel manicure. They sat me immediately and were very efficient in getting me in and out of there with great looking nails. It's already been a week since I went there and my nails are still going strong! The only advise I would give would be to bring cash. You can pay the business via Venmo, and luckily my nail tech had a personal Venmo for me to tip her on. Honestly I don't do anything extravagant with my nails. It's mainly just for upkeep because I work with my hands a lot. It was $30 for removal of my old gel manicure and a fresh gel manicure. You really are paying for quality. I went to this salon to removed the gel nail polish of my 10 year old daughter. She got it 3 weeks ago for an occasion. They charged $8 for removal and $7 for a regular nail polish. The lady who did her nails kept on convincing us to get a gel nail polish. She said "gel is much better." I said " no" she is too young. Then, she asked me if I want her nails to file or cut. I said cut it please. Then she said " additional $3 for cutting nails and filing. I told her " then just file it"! I've been doing manicure and pedicure for over 25 years. Gel toes must be a quota they have to meet because the nail specialist's attitude changed when I told her I didn't want gel on my toes. My nails are uneven and the paint is lumpy after everything was done. And, telling me my toe nails are thin and that I need gel on my toes is not going to sell me on getting gel. The lady even announced loudly in Vietnamese how she's the unlucky one because her coworker got all gel toes and she didn't get any customers with gel. I actually think the gel ruin my toe nails and that's why I didn't get it. I have mixed feelings, not sure if I want to come back because of the REALLY stressful vibe when it's really busy. I got a Acrylic Manicure and Reg Pedicure. It was not until I was cashing out when the nail tech told me its $75.00 + $1.00 for using a card. I have never spent this much on nails. I wouldn't say it's worth it since my polish was lumpy and during the whole experience I felt I wasn't able to use the massage chair nor did the staff talk. I really wish I could give this place NO STARS La Mirada Nail & Spa is the worst nail salon in La Mirada. I called and spoke with John the owner of this place and asked if I could get 2 full sets as me and my daughter were wanting our nails done. He said come on in. When we arrived he was nice and professional and asked me to check in on the iPad and asked how my day was. Off to a good start. John decided that he would do my daughters nails and he sent me over to Connie the 2nd to the last chair in the salon. From the moment Connie sat down to attend to me she was rude. I showed her a picture and right away she told me I don't know how to do 3D nails. I said ok, then just leave that nail a solid color and the rest I would like medium length French tips. I showed her a picture of what I wanted. I will attach both what I wanted and what I walked out it. Then Connie started to say that there is different charges for French tips. I asked her if she could do pink and white all powder cause I don't like when the French is painted on. She told me she doesn't do that. They only paint on white tips. I was like ok... then she starts to file my nails and I asked her if she could please clean up my nail beds before she starts to put on the acrylic nails. She said we don't do that it's an extra $6 charge. I said thats standard nail practice how you gonna just place nails when the skin is all overgrown and needs to be cleaned up. She was upset and said I'm still going to charge you $6 I said ok fine. Then she quotes me $78 without the French tip painting, I agreed to the price. After this it was all downhill. She cut me multiple times when she was cleaning up my cuticles. She ripped off parts of my skin cause she was angry. She was very aggressive when she kept pushing my hang away cause she wanted me to move it into the UV lamp. I kept asking her to please stop being so aggressive and she would ignore me. John just watched all of this happen and he saw me very upset and he never stepped in like a manager should to help the situation out. When it was time to pay I told him that I was not happy, I came to get a service done and his employee was rude and he never even acknowledged my concerns. He looked more concerned about going home and not about my bad experience. He took off $18.00 off my set and basically told me that my nails looked fine. I showed him all the parts I wasn't happy with, but he didn't care. John is a horrible owner and should care about his customers. I've been coming here on and off always trying to give this place another chance to do better! I'm not giving my money to this crappy place anymore. I'll wait for victorias nails in la mirada! Please don't waste your hard working money to come and support this nail salon! I promise you, you will be disappointed! John you need to do better Sir and Connie should be fired she doesn't know anything about nails or customer service! I had gone to La Mirada Nails & Spa asked for a simple gel pedicure with an acrylic toe. I had asked if she can do it and she said yes so i trusted her. She put on 3 layers of acrylic and still couldn't get it right it's bumpy it's thick and not even a square. I asked her to fix it and she just kept filling while cutting my skin at the same time. Why couldn't she ask for help not sure. I went up to pay said i had 300 points which is $10 off she never added it on there.
