Jennifer gave me one of the best pedicures I have ever had. It is clean and lots of Spaces. I also had a face wax, which Again was superior to others that I have had done. I went in on a Friday at 12:30 and only wanted to remove gels I had from a previous indie nail technician. I got Nancy as my technician. She was super fast and I thought ok let's go for a basic french manicure. She happily started working on them. She did such a great job and she finished at 1:15! This was my first time here. Overall, didn't have the greatest experience. I've had my nails done a handful of times and never been much of a complainer but this place just needs to work on some of these things to reach its potential. If they read this I hope you just take it as constructive criticism. - Walking in it looked pretty clean, not very welcoming, just awkward stares, no music or tv on. Very quiet. It might be different on other days? But this was my first impression. - The "COVID" measures I've observed: temperature check, wearing mask, gloves (which I have a complaint about how they practice good hygiene), they've put a X on every other spa chair (no plexiglass), only plexiglass for manicure stations. - GLOVES. Let's just say she first used the gloves to start cleaning my nails, then someone came in, with the same gloves she used it to take her temperature, touches her face, shirt, chair, then back to my nails. Please, this is not the fist time I've seen it, change your damn gloves. Excuse my language, I mean that's just bad hygiene and a very easy way to transfer bacteria, especially if you're cutting our nails and skin around them. - I had asked for Gel nails, not my first time and I don't think you could really mess that up. I noticed how streaky it was and some bubbles, I had mentioned it to her and maybe suggested another coat (even though it was already her 4th..) she then replies "do dip next time". I was polite and just said ok. But man, she should be trying to make me satisfied THIS time because how does she know there will even be a next time? - Now, on to my pedicure ha! Another new girl, it started off fine, she was taking her time cleaning my toes. Until, she nips the top of my cuticles and pulls back hard! I yell out OW in reaction, she doesn't say anything and keeps pressing down on it. Then, the blood starts gushing and now she says "I'm sorry." She then keeps putting on so much Neosporin and spraying alcohol, tries to put a bandaid with her wet gloves and on my wet toes. I was very calm, asked her to just get me another towel to dry it and that she needed to put pressure to stop the bleeding. I let her finish my pedicure and now I'm just praying I don't get some kind of infection or fungus! Again, I was very understanding and told her it was ok and it happens. Professionalism, communication, hygiene are the things I think could use some improvement. The prices aren't cheap and I expect to get what I pay for. Unfortunately, I won't be back. Showed them a picture of what I wanted (full-set stiletto nails) Kept referring to the picture to help guide nail technician. Manager hovered over entire time speaking to technician. I kept saying "just like the picture". They kept saying no problem. They looked awful however I needed to walk out with them somewhat decent. I guided the technician with each nail design. Totally happy with my experience. Needed my nails done last minute. Called them, they were able to take me as a walk-in right away. Got my current dipped nails removed and done again. It was a quick process literally only took a hour and a half. The women who serviced my nail was nice. She had to pull away and charge other customers out, even doing that the process was quick and now my nails are looking great again. Love them. Chose a pretty jade color green. I used to like this place, but there's been a change in staff and some of the women are too invasive with cuticle care. Long story short, the pedicurist gave me a painful ingrown after she dug underneath my nailbed. I had never had an ingrown. It got so bad I had to get surgery to do a partial avulsion. It's been precisely one month since I got that pedicure. I spent over $150 in medical fees because the pedicurist decided it was a great idea to mess up my nails by digging deep beneath the nailbed, dislocating the natural formation of my nail and causing one of the most painful experiences I have ever had. Have been coming here since they open. Had a standing appt with Anna every two weeks. All of a sudden the owner wants me to call into the shop and book over the phone. Well from what I saw personally she started arguing with my nail person Anna. Anna told me that day she was quitting. She could no longer work for a person like her. I personally helped Anna gather her stuff and left right then and there I have seen a very big turnover of her staff since she started. They were also very patient with my 2 year old and painted her nails also. Got to love places that are patient with your little ones and make them feel comfortable. Place is very nice inside and clean. Spa chairs for pedicures are very nice relaxing chairs to sit in. The owners are very nice people and are very helpful. This place is great! Brand new, sparkling clean, and beautifully decorated. At the time of the writing of this review, they are having a 30% off special (all nail services). I got a full set, medium length, with gel polish... 27 bucks! Can you believe? Most affordable nail place in the area, for sure. Linda took excellent care of me. She listened to exactly what I wanted.. and I got exactly what I wanted! Haha she was very meticulous (in the best way) and took her time, even when people started coming in. She didn't rush just to get me out of there like some other places I've visited. Anyway, I really appreciated the hospitality, too. They even gave me, my mom, and my grandma free bottles of water! I had a great experience the 1st time so I came back for a full set and pedicure. Each visit I had different ladies. This recent visit the ladies were so adamant in me getting gel when I said no about 4-5 times. The lady who did my pedi had blonde streaks and big round glasses. I had told her a few times I rolled my ankle and to please be careful...nope went over her head and wasn't careful. Got my finger cut at the nail bed which sucked. Overall had a crappy experience. They charged me for a regular full set $23 and pedi $18. When I asked how much would it be including gel on the set I was told $35. Personally don't see the difference in gel. I've tried it multiple times and they both end the same in my opinion. Sucks because I felt like I finally found a place but the ladies were so rude this time around. read more
