Love how Kathy does my nails!! She always does my nails exactly how I want them ! Easy appointment process and never have to wait .

I have been coming here for years since they opened and the nail only gets better. I like the quietness this store would make me feel everytime I'm there. So I can just enjoy and relax watching the show they turn on or just watching my own stuff . Highly recommended!!!

I came here for the second time thinking that this visit would be as pleasant as my last one. It was the complete opposite. I've never felt so judged. I came in for a pedicure and the woman helping me made me feel so bad about myself. She kept making faces and making noises about my toe nails. She was even wiping the skin from under my nails on my foot and telling me how bad it was. The service was so rushed and she was so rough. Plus the nail tech CUT ME. I told her I was bleeding and she tried to hide what she did! I will never come back here again.

Insisted that I get "building gel" for my index finger which she ending up using powder for and left it thick.. then tried up charging me for a service I didn't ask for as well. She hurt me multiple times making me bleed from a manicure!! Terrible service!

I have been coming to this salon for a few years now. I've come to be content with the services. I get that the main nail tech is constantly booked. You can't even get him if you ask for him. The secondary rarely there and she's booked as well. So the nail I tech I see I've been for probably the past 6-8 nails services - she's very sweet and attempts any nail design I give her. In the time she's been servicing me, I don't leave super happy with my nails. Today was the day that I have decided to look for another nail salon. A few weeks back she suggested I switch from gel x to a nail builder which would leave my natural nails "healthier" so I took the suggestion and said okay. They have been looking good. But today. She was checking the length of my nails from one hand to the other and then she over filed the side of my thumb. So noticeable that the whole nail curves into the nail bed. There's no fixing it. She didn't even say anything to me. She lifted my hand and said "do you like it?" I was like no.. she laughed. She freakin laughed.. she said she fix it. How do you fix an overcompensating filed nail?? I was charged regular price and I walked out. And I won't be walking back in. I'm not saying don't go there, all I can say it's always hit or miss and the pricing is constantly fluctuating depending on the design - today was a deluxe pedicure and a nail builder (no manicure) with a French tip design and I paid $125 + tip - I'm pretty bummed that my nails look like crap and I have a wedding on Friday..

I love this place ! Music is great, everyone was really nice and accommodating from when i called to schedule an appointment to walking in the entrance. I'm very picky with my nails and hate to be that person but I explained my terrifying experiences & John did an amazing job. Can't go anywhere else now. Pays attention to detail and nice to converse with as well. Can't wait to get a pedicure next time !!

The place is cute and they have fun music while having a show on the tv. My nail technician was friendly and would always ask me if I liked my nails before I put them under the UV light. She took good care of my nails and I thought they came out great. Will be coming again.

I've been coming here for awhile now and they're always consistent and nice. My nails always last long. Im always happy with my end results. The workers are really friendly and ask what you like. I always recommend an appointment for any type of manicure/acrylic job. Pedicures are great too, sometimes you're able to walk in for a pedi.

I went in as a walk in. They took me in right away. Very slow. I went in for a gel pedicure and a builder gel for my mani. They did my pedi first took about an hour. I was hoping for them to do my mani and pedi at the same time. Since I didn't have much time. I ended up just getting a pedi. She was super nice and gentle with my toes since I am very ticklish. She did a great job. I paid $42. This location is very clean. Great music choice. Very organized. read more

When you walk in you check in with your phone number on tablet device, you will track your visits and earn rewards. There's an ATM on site which is pretty convenient. On my last visit they gifted little goodie bags with candy and cuticle oil!! So frickin cute and thoughtful. A small gesture during the holiday season that is very nice and thoughtful. It's a small spot with parking along Whittier blvd or I believe there's a back parking. I seen a front and back entrance. I really appreciate and like that they have signs posted to get an estimate of your services if you're unsure. The fact they are open about prices and don't base on how they feel? Is a plus! I've only been here twice and I'm really happy with their service and prices. The place and work areas are clean and everyone says hello when you walk in. read more

SO unprofessional !!!! I literally had a appointment today at 7pm for two pedicures I even got reminder text for my appointment but when I walked in the man said "the one who does pedicures left you can come back tomorrow " so ridiculous I could of booked somewhere else you had time to tell me that the pedicure person wasn't going to be there instead of wasting my time !!!! I specifically asked for that appointment because of other plans happening during the rest of the weekend . AGAIN don't waste your time with your appointment it means nothing to them . read more

To say that I love this place is an understatement. John is the best at what he does! The other employees are great too! I've never had a nail salon that I would consistently go back to, but TJ nails is the one I can't stop coming back to. I haven't had a bad experience so far, and the energy is soo calming there. If i could give a 0 star i would im so upset my toe is super infected needing antibiotics and causing me to go to urgent care. I've asked for a refund and they have said no. The tools that were used weren't clean. Don't recommend pedicures here. read more

Kathy did my acrylic nails and they were the best nails I've ever gotten done before. I've been doing my nails since I was 20 years old and she does a good job. No glue on the side of the nails and the shaping is great on ALL nails. I really recommend this place. read more

I know everyone makes jokes about being at the nail salon and the nail tech don't speak English and they're probably talking about you. Absolutely they are! I have an app on my phone that translates languages and I turned my app on just to see. Not only were they talking shit about me. They were talking about everybody in there. The manicure felt rushed and not thorough and the color that I got was not the color I chose and my pedicure was got awful. I do not recommend this at all unless you're just looking for a cheap place to go because that's exactly what this is, cheap read more

What a disappointment! I went in to get my right thumb repaired (the nail cracked low) and I just wanted it repaired with nail glue and a basic shine. I never expected to pay full price ($18) plus some for the shine and tip. I can't believe I paid $23 for this simple job. This will be the last time they take advantage of me. My very first time here for my and my 17 yr old daughter. I introduced myself and let them know as well. They took us right away as we had an appointment. I thought wow that's fast and it's a nice salon. That's where the good experience ended. I won't name the lady but she was not personable at all. I asked for coffin nails and ended with square. She was fast and inefficient. I asked for hand lotion and she said "not with full set". What ever happened to pleasing the paying customer? Now onto my daughter. Mind you we started at the same time. I'm done and my daughters tech was just adding tips to the 2nd hand. Took her over 2 hours and made her bleed. She's asked for long nails and got medium. I decided to give this place another try (hoping for a better experience), Well let me tell you, I was wrong. These are my nails 2 weeks after a new set ( these were vacation nails). They started lifting and breaking after the first week. I came back from vacation late last night and I had to call my an appointment for a fill first thing this morning. One of my nails hurts so bad. I was scheduled at noon. I arrived right at noon and to no surprise- they were overbooked. No communication, no ETA, no acknowledgement on my painful nail. I decided to leave. This place needs more consistency with the technicians, better communication as well of a better scheduling system. read more

Came in today based of of reviews. App at 9:30 and leaving now at 12. I'll show you work, in pic. Messy not clean and $58 dollars for a medium set. We end and Sasha the girl in front gets called cause he's new and he doesn't know how much to charge ? There's no set price so they talk amongst themselves and come Up with 58. Okay, then they say cash only. ? Okay doesn't mention anywhere on their page okay. And here's the final. Nails not what I asked on color Tried telling him since it didn't match the pic but ok. Overall mediocre work and not impressed and they leave residue all On nail. Tried here for closer but def teaches me to stay loyal to those I have. I gave this place several opportunities since it's so close to my house but I have to say the quality is poor. One time, the nail tech was too rough at cutting my cuticles he cut my skin and made me bleed. A second time, the nail tech didn't do my French tips properly. They looked like I had done them at home. The last time, I got a fungus on my nail. The fungus on my nail was the last straw. I gave them two stars because there were a couple of female workers who were fabulous at their job. read more

Angel went above and beyond, attempting to remedy my loss and apologized to me for what happened which wasn't even her fault per se, but in the end, it doesn't change the fact that I could've paid less for better service elsewhere. Furthermore, I had some concerns as to the cleanliness of the salon but overlooked them. One of the nail techs made a comment to her colleague about the separators being dirty and grimy. Luckily the reaction on my toes cleared up. However, I am still dealing with a skin reaction on both my hands that require medical treatment. The manager told me I don't need to come back and initially I wanted to give them another chance because of how cooperative they were about fixing the issues, but now with my health at risk, I won't be returning and can not recommend this salon.

Anne did my full set and was extremely sweet the whole time--and speaking of time, she did a perfect full set in less than half an hour! This was exactly a week ago, and my nails are still looking as fresh as the day I got them. You know how sometimes you'll get a great set of acrylics, but the process is quite uncomfortable, if not painful, at times? I didn't feel the tiniest bit of discomfort. No hangnails, no bleeding cuticles, no soreness afterwards. They're a bit on the pricey side, but if you're going to pay to get your nails done anyway, TJ Nails should be your very first choice!! read more

Absolutely horrible business, the employees obviously are not well trained and do not care about the customers. The business owner does not know how to run a business she is only looking for more money. If you want to ask for something extra on your nails, they will "try" although they will blatantly not tell you it costs more just to squeeze some extra money out of you. You definitely get what you pay for here. Also they do the best pedicures, as I have sensitive feet. I tend to get ingrown toes but the girls always fix it perfectly. The worst service I've ever experienced. Avoid this place. The guy that works here, or owns it ‍ is an absolute asshole. So if you're looking to make an appointment it doesn't make since to because he can't schedule to save his life. You might as well just walk in because he won't schedule you correctly and you'll just end up waiting anyway. read more

They do not respect appointment times. Had my appointment at 3:30, arrived right on time yet they still took in clients that arrived after me. Waited until 4:40 then left, no one informed me about wait time, they simply do not care if you have an appointment or not. Their work and price is not worth the time. read more
