I typically get my nails done about once a month, but the last two visits have been disappointing. The technicians do not seem to thoroughly check their work. I've been repeatedly nicked around the cuticles, and during my most recent visit my nails were uneven in both length and shape. Unfortunately, due to the lack of attention to detail and consistency, I don't plan to return. I would strongly encourage future clients to carefully double-check everything during their service.

I'm extremely particular about my nails and, to be honest, I'm a bit of a clean freak. I've had my fair share of terrible nail salon experiences over the years, so I was a little hesitant at first. Walking into Onyx completely changed my expectations. Tyn is truly one of a kind. Where do I even begin? He treats every client with genuine respect and gives 110% every single appointment. One thing that really stuck with me was seeing him work on his own birthday. Instead of taking the day off, he came in with a smile, took care of his clients, and made sure everyone left happy. That says a lot about the kind of person and professional he is. He's also a perfectionist in the best way possible. He constantly checks in throughout the appointment, asking if you love your nails. If something isn't exactly how you envisioned it, he'll gladly fix it until you're completely happy. He truly stands behind his work. A few months ago, I injured my hands and thought my natural nails were beyond saving. Tyn suggested switching to builder gel and simply told me, "Trust the process." I'm so glad I listened. Three months later, my natural nails are healthier and stronger than they've ever been. By Sunday, two of my fingernails had already popped off. I went in to have them repairs before my flight. Then the next day, Monday, two of my toenails chipped, and two more fingernails popped off. This level of workmanship is unacceptable, especially after only a couple of days. I called the salon to explain what happened. I was told they don't offer refunds and that I would need to come back within seven days for them to fix the nails. Unfortunately, that isn't possible because I'm currently in Texas. I specifically had my nails done before my trip so they would look nice for this important event, and now I have to spend time finding another salon and paying again to have them repaired before photos and the event.my pedicure and gel x was $200 and now I'm stuck having to pay for their mistakes. I understand that issues can occasionally happen, but nails and polish should last much longer than a few days. I was disappointed not only by the quality of the service but also by the lack of a reasonable solution given that I was traveling. I hope the salon takes quality control more seriously and considers being more accommodating when customers experience problems like this. The nail tech was Lucas and for the pedicure it was Holly.
