I LOVE this nail spot and I honestly got yelp just to give my review on this place specifically!! I've been coming since I was in the eighth grade and recently I decided to get my nails done for my birthday and I honestly had my first bad experience. I wanted cute short acrylic nails with baby yellow French tips and 3d flowers a simple set ( for me lol ) and I've always been a walk in client, but as always I've never waited for a long amount of time I would say I've always been seen almost immediately. I ended up getting my nails done by this guy and he seemed new but I payed no attention, until he finished the application of the acrylic and it just seemed way far out of the ordinary compared to what I've always seen. I've NEVER been the type to speak up about things but this set was just unbearable to hold back I spoke up more then ten times about the shape the color the flower and the left over acrylic under my nails. By the end of it we were both a bit frustrated icl lol. Out of the blue my grandma talked me into getting my toes done (I love how they come out I always get compliments) and the lady doing my toes asked to see my nails which is veryy normal I love when they take their time peaking at my set or while I get them done I find it so cute. she took a peak and said oh there cool huh that's when I knew I couldn't pay full price for my set but again I was too scared until another lady saw me looking at them too much and she came over asking to see my nails oh my days the face she made at them was beyondd. She immediately told my grandma to go to the side so she could fix them. Walking out the store my grandma told me I was definitely in the right when I said that my nails didn't look good compared to how they ended up coming out. We practically spent the whole day there at the salon but it was so worth it. The lady's there are so so sweet you'd definitely have to do something in order for them to act the way they're being described. This nail place KNOWS what they are doing. I will always come back to this comfortable, welcoming nail salon and leave happy with my nails. I have NEVER once been disappointed by the service here. The employees are all very friendly, and their skill for nails is UNMATCHED! My nails are always FLAWLESS when I leave this place, and I love it. This was my first and last time visiting this nail salon. I chose it because it's close to my child's school and had good reviews. The staff was friendly, and the space appears clean with a nice, upscale vibe--but unfortunately, the comfort and overall service didn't match. The chair was extremely uncomfortable--completely worn down with no cushioning. My tailbone, back, and hips felt like I was sitting on a hard wooden bench. The footrest was also unstable and wobbled every time I lifted my foot. The pillows provided for hand support were visibly dirty, which was off-putting. The most frustrating part was the polish selection. I chose two colors--a solid and a glitter that complemented each other--but after applying the solid, they realized they didn't have the glitter in stock. I had to choose another option, and then that second choice wasn't available either. I ended up settling for something I didn't really like. Given how expensive nail services are now, the entire experience was disappointing. There are plenty of other nail salons in the area, so I'll be trying somewhere else next time. read more

I live around the corner and come here often. Well this time was a horrible experience. The lady was doing a pedicure on me and cut my toenail down the center. I expressed how it hurt and she continued to pick at my toe nail with the tool. My toe nail was burning throughout the pedicure and I kept expressing to her now my nail hurt. She just ignored me and continued. When I took a closer look I realized my toenail was cut down the center. After I realized what happened, she tried to paint over the nail. I spoke with the person in charge and she told me I probably stubbed my toe. No ma'am, I felt the moment when she cut the nail. The lady (I didn't get her name) who did my pedicure cut my toes with the nail drill when she was trying to remove my old gel. Then, while she was cleaning up my nails she removed an ingrown but my foot had already been dry for some time so it really hurt. She cleaned up one foot and was starting to work on the other when she asked me which service I wanted. I felt uncomfortable in the space, the chair was dirty; there were nails on the floor; nail dust everywhere on each spa chair. it just looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. So, I said I wanted the basic one and her whole demeanor changed. she stopped talking to me and didn't throughly finish my second foot. The basic one comes with a scrub and she rubbed that on my DRY skin. Didn't wet her gloves, just rubbed the scrub onto dry skin. Then she took her pumice stone which was also DRY and scrubbed my feet with it, while the scrub was still on my skin. The scrub left my skin hurting. She slapdashed my "massage". Overall, I feel this was not a great experience. I came home and used hydrogen peroxide to avoid any infections since she cut me in a few different places. I also feel like this paint job was rushed and is crooked and uneven at the bottom from lack of using the brush to clean the edges. I also want to mention that 2 ladies came in after calling to inform them they'd be there in 20 mins for a service, they had the ladies wait to get served. The ladies waited for a solid 20 minutes before deciding to leave because they didn't get served. Another thing that bothered me was that the lady next to me was telling the woman doing her pedicure that one of her toe nails is broken while the lady was sanding down her toe nails. The lady repeated herself 3 times and the woman didn't acknowledge her. The lady literally squealed in pain. No response from the woman doing the pedicure. read more

I went in for a gel manicure and was seated right away, which I appreciated. However, things quickly went downhill from there. The technician had me soak my hands and then left to do a wax treatment on another client. I ended up sitting there with my hands in the bowl for over 15 minutes. I had to take them out myself because my fingers were starting to prune. When she finally came back, she started working on my cuticles, but the job felt rushed and careless. I showed her a picture of the color I wanted, and she simply said "okay," so I assumed they had it. She didn't give me any indication that it wouldn't be possible. Once she started painting, I immediately knew something was wrong. The color didn't match what I had asked for, and the application was streaky and uneven. After three coats, the polish still looked sheer and patchy. I politely asked for one more coat, hoping it would help, but she gave me attitude. After finishing both hands, she looked at me and firmly said, "No more coats." At that point, I was over the entire experience and just wanted to leave. She was cold and rude for the rest of the appointment. Then, to top it off, she asked me if I was okay. It was clear I wasn't, but I didn't want to make a scene, so I just said yes. I honestly didn't want to leave a tip, but I felt guilty and left one anyway. I realize now that I shouldn't have, because this is a service I was paying for and the experience did not meet basic expectations. If she had just told me they didn't have the color, I would've picked something else. That would've been no problem. Instead, I paid $35 plus a $5 tip for nails that look like they were rushed and poorly done. I wouldn't recommend coming here. I wish I had gotten the technician's name, but the overall service was disappointing. For the price I paid, I would have been better off doing my nails at home. read more

got a gel fill a week ago, i asked for a brown color and they used the wrong color (nude as seen on the photo). Once i noticed it was the wrong color it was too late, i was getting a pedicure as well and just trying to relax so i wasn't paying attention to the painting. I told the nail tech it was wrong but i didn't want to sit through filing and painting all over again. yesterday i broke a nail so i came in to get it fixed and they couldn't find the color!!! The nail tech very rudely said I needed to remember the color code and because i didn't id have to settle for a similar color (which i agreed to). she was very rude and bothered by the fact that she had to fix it at all. As you can see my pointer finger is a different color and poorly painted. It's lumpy and the paint is uneven. When I stood up to leave she rolled her eyes and waved at me to leave. Every time I've came here before I've had a good experience my nails looked nice and lasted I went on Tuesday and every single time I've gone they suggested gel x and this time I was like you know what, let me try it... first thing I noticed was the my hands were both different lengths I asked the guy to make them all same same size which is already pretty ridiculous but he was young so I assumed he was also new I go home and realize the edges of were my cuticles are all have left over product as well at the bottom of my nails. I came here because I was too far from my usual nail place. BIGGEST MISTAKE. The people were so rude. First the woman who was doing my pedicure got upset because I didn't want gel???? And then the person who did my gel X didn't care I told him my nails were too short and then got pissed when I told him one of my nails was crooked and I really needed him to fix it (not to mention it's still crooked and now longer than the other finger) anyway I got plain white short nails (not what I wanted) and still paid $88 for my service which I was so unhappy with. I hope they learn to respect what the client wants and not get mad when corrected. He was even grabbing me really rough when I expressed I didn't like the crooked nail. I called asking if I needed to make an appointment but they said they take walk-ins and didn't arrange a time. We came around 4:30-5pm & they close at 6. My friend & I were able to receive spa pedicures with the massage chairs but unfortunately there weren't enough employees to complete her french tip manicure, so she was bummed about that. The lady doing my manicure (sorry I didn't get your name!) Offered to soak her nails & have her come in the following day but my friend declined both. During the pedicure I was offered a color wheel of a myriad of colors (I chose Adobe) but during my manicure (which took place at a table in the other room) I was shown a completely different color set. I think the pedicure color set was for gel colors & the other set (#26 is on my nails) is for dip powder. I showed the lady a Pinterest photo of pink ballerina-style nails & that's exactly what I got. Ive never seen a nail lady paint nails the way she did & she did a lotttt of filing which I'm slowly getting used to the more I request acrylic nails in peculiar shapes. I am extremely satisfied with the color, length, & shape, but it was frustrating that my friend couldnt get a manicure bc the nail technicians all left for some "party." I chose this salon because my regular salon was fully booked. I won't be coming back. It appears they specialize in those ridiculously long nails. So my "shorter" nails ended up super short. I hate them. Good thing is they'll grow back and I'll go to my girl near whittwood. The girl that did my hands was not very friendly and worked fast so the heat of the file burned me. I have been to this place a few times now and was really happy to see them reopen, after being closed due to Covid. Ya girl was wayyy overdue for a mani and pedi! Emily gave me tie die summer vibes!!! They came out great, and I have gotten so many compliments about them! The only thing I'd complain about, and this is just me being very picky and particular when it comes to my nails, is that every time I've gone they don't remove the cuticle on the manicures. They don't even push the skin back, which is disappointing since they do it for the pedicures. I would think it'd be the same for the manicures, next time I'll ask about it and then update the review. In addition, due to the whole pandemic, I've sort of developed an OCD. Therefore, it bothered me when I didn't see them using freshly cleaned tools, and they were reusing the same buffer and cuticle remover used on other clients They do a great job on nails most definitely! However, they could definitely step it up when it comes to hygiene because that's just as important. If I could give zero stars I would. I've been going to this place for years with Alex, from time to time I had to wait 20,30 even 40 minutes. Emily the owner overbook appointments will take walk ins and will make clients with appointments wait I did this for so long because I like Alex. Last time I was there Emily asked Alex to see a walk in right before my appointment. After so many years and the lack of Alex"s back bone my money and time its just as valuable as anyone else's money. I will Never go back to this place. I would definitely come back! The service was really good. From the moment I walked in with my boyfriend they were nice and welcoming. It was really sweet of the staff to direct my boyfriend to a massage chair next to where I was instead of him heading to the little seating area in the front. Another thing I liked was how efficient they were. As I was getting my pedicure an employee by the name of Tiger was doing my nails. I knew from the get go that since the fine line details would'nt be exactly like the inspo image but I'm very happy with how they came out and was impressed with his handiwork!
