Now the girl was explaining that we first had to do this one to do the wood therapy one which I was super confused about because I had specifically told the girl on the phone that's what I wanted, anyways point is my bf and I were so surprised and unhappy with the massage we got the girls were literally barely applying pressure it was something I could've done on myself but what made the experience worse was that I was under the impression we would get more for the price we paid. We ended up paying $340 /$170 each for that stupid massage that didn't do much. I tried calling and talking to the same girl who scheduled our appointment again to let her know we were very disappointed after we left and for the price it felt almost unjust. Most spas offer lymphatic drainage with a facial, but I didn't want that. I just wanted the massage. I found Agave through Yelp and I am so glad I did. This place is located on a quiet street in uptown Whittier. There's free parking in front on the street or a free parking structure directly across. The place is small on the outside but seems bigger on the inside. It's super clean and gives off a relaxing vibe. The massage room has a wall of battery operated candles that give off that ambient lighting and the soothing music is the cherry on top. Liz is so sweet. Talking to her feels like talking to an old friend. She's knowledgeable and good at what she does. The first session I did, I just got the facial massage, but during my session she learned I was post op and suggested the chin contour treatment which comes with red light therapy to promote healing and another machine that uses heat to help tighten the skin. The massage feels like a good type of pain. I know she's working her magic and I leave Agave with my jawline snatched. I love how she suggests things I can do while at home, in between sessions. And she makes sure I'm doing my part to help myself heal. I can't wait to be fully healed and try the other treatments they offer.
