I've shopped at this Sephora in Kohl's multiple times, and I've noticed recently that the associate who I believe is the manager often has an unwelcoming attitude. Today I came in for a simple return, and she appeared visibly annoyed about helping me. Even though I didn't need to explain myself why I was returning the item. I still told her that I thought the color was an old color that the company had come up with, and then she looked at me and said well that's strange because that's why we have testers . Testers or not as a consumer I should have the option of buying something and returning it. If I don't like how it looks .Customer service should feel supportive and friendly, regardless of the situation. I truly hope this location works on creating a more positive environment for customers. Another issue I've encountered is that whenever I visit this store and she assists me, she persistently pressures me to add my phone number to my account. I've explicitly stated that I don't want to add my number to the account. Why can't I simply use my email address, which is already associated with my account? I find it puzzling why she keeps bringing this up whenever I come to shop there. Consequently, I've lost my comfort level shopping there and will make an effort to avoid going to the store altogether. Instead, I'll drive to the larger store. So first thing first I enter the store I do not get greeted or anything. I figured everyone was busy and by everyone it was only two females. I walk up to the women perfume section and ask a question because again I have not been helped not even a single "hey are you finding everything okay" so I'm there smelling perfumes and the lady looks at me twice seeing I have not been helped and just walks away and immediately walks to the front and helps a women who comes in and accommodates her. I'm shocked because hello? What about me. Aside that not only does she not help me but she looked at me like I wasn't going to buy anything, a look as of I'm not going to buy anything because the way I'm dressed. I felt judged by her. It's my day off and I like dressing comfy. Anyway , so I'm there waiting for 5min max and nothing I had to walk up to the other young lady which I did get her name. Her name was Priscilla she was sweeping the little areas by the make up. She was nice enough to stop what she was doing and help me out. If it wasn't for Priscilla I would've have walked out. Also the lady that saw me and walked away to help the other customer,the customer didn't end up buying anything lmao. Just shows you to not a judge a book by its cover lmao. Why do I always feel nervous when I walk into a Sephora. Even in my prime I just never felt like I had the knowledge to go shopping in there isn't that crazy? It's all fun and games when you're young and your skin is perfect and all you really need is lipgloss and mascara . I'm not no spring chicken anymore . Double chins are in full affect, and I need to contour ! Time to call in for the big guns. I need to worry about what I put on my face. My best friend and I had no idea that we were coming in here . We were not prepared for someone to be looking into our pores to say the least. Jerica made us feel so comfortable and helped us with our make up needs. Literally the best experience this morning. 6/17/25. I was nervous and even a little hesitant to come into Sephora, since I haven't stepped foot in one in a couple years. As soon as I turned the corner, entering Sephora I was greeted by Joe. Such a friendly and welcoming voice, I might add. Told him exactly what I came for, nothing more, nothing less. He answered allll my questions and took into consideration, my concerns. He matched me for foundation and bronzer. I will literally make the drive over here for my next Sephora hall. Bought a product at this location 3 weeks ago and unfortunately did not work for my skin so I came in to do a return yesterday and received bad customer service. The employee that helped me had a bad attitude/tone, im not sure if he was having a bad day already but ultimately wouldn't do the return for me because i did not have the original packaging so i left. Today I went to a different Sephora @ Kohls and explained the situation and they happily took care of me and apologized for my experience. They told me I did not need the original packaging and were not sure why this location didn't do the return for me. I will not be coming back to this location. read more

I came into this location on 3/25/25 to purchase some cologne. After experiencing some of the most horrible customer service or should I say NO CUSTOMER SERVICE I wouldn't dare spend a dime here. I stood in the cologne section for nearly 25 minutes sampling and/or smelling colognes with two Sephora female employees within 3 feet of me and not once did they greet me or say anything to me the entire time I was in the store. To make matters worse I watched them greet, talk, and offer advice to several incoming customers. This was a horrible experience! I came in to get color-matched on 1/21 (checked out at 3:28PM). There was a lady with curly orange-ish hair assisting another customer and I politely asked if she could help me when she was done. I waited patiently and walked around to look at other products while she finished. When I came back, I noticed she was helping other customers. I thought maybe they caught her off guard and she was being nice. I get it, I know how retail can be. So I waited some more, and this time stood in the general area she was in. Either she noticed me and ignored me or she didn't see me (which I don't believe because there weren't many people and the store is tiny + I'm literally just standing there haha). I finally gave up and decided to color match myself. When I went to check out, she was at the registers. I thought she would for sure recognize me. She asked "did anyone help you today?" I said no. Not even then did she admit she forgot about me or whatever. She didn't even look at me. I wasted so much time being there. The store itself is fine, but they were out of a lot of things. I'm sure other employees are great, but that lady needs more training or an attitude change asap. read more
