I love Aura Vital so much and wholeheartedly trust the guidance of the employees here. As soon as you walk in, you can physically feel the peaceful energy of this store. It's a serenity I've literally only felt here and the workers are insightful, helpful and genuine. I used to come regularly but then I moved out of state five years ago. I was in town for an extended period recently and really needed some spiritual healing, so I made sure to come by. I got two candles, with one being prepared. A prepared candle (cost me $15) will yield stronger results since it's meant to help you achieve a particular goal. The folks here may give you instructions like writing your name, ambition, the name of a loved one, etc before they prepare it for you and then they bring it out. Previously, I've been given other instructions like which candle to light first if I buy several, to shower before lighting them or how to dispose of them properly once they're done. What I especially have always loved about Aura Vital is that they read you your candle once it's finished. Mine took five days to completely finish so I took photos and videos of them at their end and returned so they could interpret them. The lady who operates the cash register is very knowledgeable about various scents and the different types of incense. The shop smells very good; I believe she was lighting patchouli. There is also a shelf with books and Tarot decks on sale. The incense sticks are economical and smell very well. read more

GREAT store, you feel at peace as soon as you walk in. The staff is super helpful (I've been there Saturday and it can get busy), I've now chose to go there every Tuesday - this is my new normal. I'm new to this and Cris has been amazing with her Candle advise and her talks..... The candles I've purchased have really help my "Spiritual Side" and working with some Love Matters too - they will bless and dress your candles as well. I've been going here since I was a teenager, and even though I don't go as often as I used to the owners always recognize and remember me, they are so nice! Everyone there is so sweet and when you walk in the doors you just get a good feeling. I love this place! I mostly go for incense and oils which is why it shocks me that they always recognize me. This place is one of Montebello's gems. I hope it stands for generations. I would also like to see them create a website so I can order supplies from them online. They always have the basics in stock- candles, Palo Santo, sage, etc. They also have a good selection of jewelry (bracelets, necklaces, etc) There is so much more, just call or pop in and ask. I love coming here!!! The energy is amazing and everyone is really nice they take their time to hear you out and see what works best for you! Sometimes we pray and we might need an extra push and that's exactly what they are here. Because they are soo nice and helpful there is always a wait so be prepared for that also not kid friendly! Also, I was surprised by the size and prices of the selection. I did not expect all the neat stuff they sell. I usually have to order on line or go to Alexandira II /Panpipes/Psychic Eye etc, which are all out of my way since I live in East Los Angeles. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
