I've gone here twice and I've had the best customer service! Not sure where these negative reviews are from. I think Aritaum replaced the previous store? Anyways, I've never really used Asian beauty products until I came in. A month ago, a sales lady told me the type of products my skin needed, without pushing me to buy a ton of products. I bought an Iope cleansing oil. She then gave me samples and along with the oil literally cleared my combo acne skin up! I was in today and another sales rep came in to help me find the product of the sample I had used. Then gave me skin care advice for the cold winter and another generous amount of samples that are suited for my dry/oily acne prone skin. Also this is one of the rare asian beauty shops I've been too that did NOT make me feel as if I was a "thief" There are some in the Atlantic plaza that literally follow my every move... read more

I came here several times already. My skin gets abnormally dry, so I was looking for some face masks that would provide some relief. I tried the Maskland Rejuvenate face masks, and they worked so well. They have the buy ten get two free deal, which is good because they are not cheap. But I was informed that the price will increase in December 2024, so that's not good. They also have samples of creams that you can try out before you decide if you want to buy. read more

I came in today to check out what the store might have for some hydrating and moisturizing ingredients to soothe my skin. Early this morning, I apparently dreamed up a Muay Thai match I acted out in my sleep which led to me punching a wall and hurting my right hand's knuckles, tearing skin and bruising tendons. The skin on my right hand is a bit fucked because this is like less than twenty hours ago and it's smarting under my liquid bandage as I type this shit up on my phone. Some Innisfree products were priced well, particularly the cherry blossom and green tea lines. I wasn't sure the fragrance ingredients in these lines would be right for me. So while going around the store and noticing how weirdly empty the shelves were, at least the prices on these were nice. However, the way I was dealt with? Really rude. I waited for a while after the store entry tone rang for someone to appear and the young female associate didn't seem to like my look or the fact that I made her have to walk out from the back. To begin narrowing down choices, I asked her if there were any snail products and she just glared at me like I was shit on her shoe and responded "no" with some booty ass vibes. Nothing I've experienced at Image Beauty, surprisingly, given that they're known for making people uncomfortable (peep the reviews there). Anyway, this Aritaum associate's behavior made me feel quite unwelcome. I am not good at picking up more subtle nuances in human emotions, but she was quite clear in her body language, voice inflection, and total unwillingness to help me find a nice moisturizer that wasn't snail. Then she just stared at me looking at stuff to make sure I didn't steal. What the fuck did I do? And why the FUCK is she still employed? I could do a way better job pretending to tolerate others. I don't need her to kiss my ass or anything, but she went out of her way to treat me differently than the two obviously East Asian ladies who came in after me. So I decided not to support this store anymore after today. Maybe she's racist... maybe it's Mamonde because she was a fucking mamona to me. Oh, well, see ya in my next fight club dream. Hoping I won't go full Kyle on the wall tonight, too. read more

I'd like to report my complaint on 2/4/2024 as I had an unwelcomed and disrespectful shopping experience at this location. I was disappointed cause I used to shopped here before pandemic. I came here to shop for gift set for my mom bday, so definitely I came here for purposes. Sadly, the second we walked into the store, there's no greeting and saw lots of opened boxes on the floor and drawers were opened. 3 mins passed after we walked around without greeting, we planned to leave but the moment we passed sulwahsoo products, the door bell rang and finally a lady salesperson came out slowly and asked what did we want.. I mean, shouldn't be like "how can I help you?" Right after she said that, she told us to stay away the door bell because it kept ringing and it's annoying.. Excuse me?! The door bell was right next to sulwahsoo displays, and that was not our fault to annoy you.. Anyway, we told her we were interested to look into sulwahsoo gift set and hopefully she could tell us more about it. She told us that she needed to make a call to check, and few mins later she showed us some gift sets on the phone. She said if we wanted, she could order and mail to our address. Np, I understand sometimes store might be out of stock, but as salesperson I believe you could do better to introduce products. That's not the worse, I asked her what was the volume of the serum from the gift set cause there's no actual display, my goodness the sales lady said "well you don't expect full size when you purchase gift set, cause it's free". I was mind blown. Move forward, she asked us how much was our budget because some of their products were very expensive and I told her I would like to know the options as I could be flexible on my budget, then guess what, she asked me why not considered cleu de peau and again, she reminded us the products are expensive, so she needed to know our Budget. I felt humiliated and upset from the whole shopping experience. I mean, I was planning to spend couple hundred dollars at the store, and your staff was so not professional and disrespectful to me. As soon as I said we will think about it, the sales lady turned away and not said a word. I will blacklist this store at this location, and I regretted not to believe other negative reviews. My bad that I wanted to support local store! read more

This is solely based on my first and last purchase at this store. I so regret coming here. I should have went to the one in Koreatown. I am korean and I have heard so many good reviews about Laneige Snow BB cushion and I wanted to try so bad. Went to Atlantic Square to go to Daiso with my family and saw this place and stopped by. Bought what I wanted without trying the shade because I have always used the same shade so I got the same shade I have always got from other makeup brands. THIS WAS PARTLY MY MISTAKE I ADMIT. The sales associate told me (over the phone) that she told me to try the shade but I dont remember. either way, I didnt tested it out. My fault I guess. But then from this point, not my fault. Her arrogant behavior is at fault and responsible. Went home and tried it the next day. OMG, is this really 23? It was too dark and too yellow for my skin that I could NOT use this product. I went back to the store and asked that the shade didnt work out and the sales associate told me there is no exchange whatsoever because I used it. Well yeah, if I didnt try it at the store and bought it and tried it at home and didnt work so i came to exchange, not even a refund, these chinese people were strongly insisting that there is NO EXCHANGE. I said i wanted to talk to the manager and they were talking in Chinese (probably talking crap about me) and called the manager and talked. I DIDNT TALK. they did all the talking. SO THINK ABOUT HOW WORDS CAN BE SPOKEN DIFFERENTLY FROM INITIAL POINT! The manager said No and she (the sales girl) told me to leave my fone number and then the manager or whoever will call me. The lady who sold the product to me called the next day, I was sleeping. I called a day after and omg it was the most unpleasant conversation I had. Even though i was pissed and mad, I tried to keep it neutral and calm but I did tell her everything I wanted to say. I dont know why but she was very pissed and almost yelling at me and talking nonsense and wouldnt even give me time to conversate so I had to cut her quite a few times to get my voice heard. her chinese accent made me confused and i couldnt understand half of it so I had to repeat after her to assure that i am understanding correctly. SHE SAID NO EXCHANGE AND THAT IS THE CORPORATE POLICY. Thats what she said. And she had this nuisance that I put her in a bad spot because I told the grls at the store that she said I can exchange them. Um excuse me? I asked for corporate number and she was very furious and uncontrollable of her feelings and yelled out 'You look for it in amore.com. online!' Ok, bye. So I called the Amore store in Koreatown, and explained everything. I asked that "I didnt try it out and bought it and wasnt my shade. in this kind of situation is exchange against your corporate policy?" She said NO. she said I can bring it to Koreatown Amore branch and she will exchange the shade for me. Normally, SHE SAID THAT WHEN YOU DIDNT TRY THE PRODUCT AND PURCHASED IT AND THE SHADE WAS NOT YOUR SHADE, THE STORE CAN CLAIM IT TO THE CORPORATE AND WORK IT OUT. EXCHANGE IS VERY VERY DOABLE. This is what real customer service is. All those people up there was interested in just selling the product for profit and now that I want to exchange, you say no? its impossible? Hope you learned your lesson. I am also going to report it to the Corporate. I think it was a very big mistake for Amore to open a branch in Chinatown-like city. I will NEVER COME HERE. I will stick to Koreatown even if it means a longer drive. NO ONE DESERVES TO BE TREATED THIS WAY AND BE INSULTED. read more

I'm so excited that The Amore is now open in Monterey Park. I can easily get my Laneige Water Sleeping Pack, Laneige Strawberry Yogurt Pack, IOPE Brightgen Luminous Emulsion, and Sulwhasoo Snowise Brightening BB Cream all in one little place. The Amore just had its grand opening over the weekend. So many freebies and promotions! For Laneige Water Sleeping Pack lovers, it's a buy 1, get 1 free promotion. However, the free water sleeping pack comes in 4 deluxe sample jars. The salesperson would give them to you when you make a purchase. I like the gift with purchase the store is offering. It has a cute baby pink make up bag and Laneige Water Sleeping Pack Kit, which contains a deluxe multi cleanser sample, deluxe water sleeping pack sample, and deluxe water bank essence sample. The Amore carries several brightening/whitening products from different brands. I think a lot of Asian women are big fans of such skin care products. No brightening/whitening serum or cream can actually "whiten" your skin, but they can help fade and prevent dark spots. The Amore offers a free membership program. You can earn credits every time you shop here. read more

I usually frequent the Arituam in K-town and the Amore in Cerritos. But since yesterday I was in Atlantic Square Plaza, I decided to stop-by this Aritaum to exchange an IOPE Air Cushion I'd applied once and found disagreeable on my facial skin complexion...Horrible First-Experience. Before I could make the exchange, I did my research well, and called the Amore location in Cerritos---where I'd purchased this product--- to make sure that I could exchange my product at any Arituam/Amore location. Given a "Yes" by the employee at Amore, I went ahead and proceeded to enter this Arituam only to be helped at the beginning, then suddenly at the end be stopped and told that the exchange wasn't possible at their store because, "every location has different owners and therefore different policies; and unfortunately this location doesn't allow for exchanges from other store purchases." The frustrating thing about this was that I had told the same female employee (whom I think everyone on this Yelp account has complained about) my reason for visiting before looking through the store for an exchange product, and she'd told me that it was ok, at firstp; but then suddenly when it came time to proceed with the transaction, she told me it wasn't possible?! Horrible service. Waste of time. I decided to leave and head over to the Amore in Cerritos, where they helped me out wonderfully, like always. If said employee at this Arituam in Monterey Park doesn't step-up her customer service skills, this location is going to go down-the-drain. I will Never set foot into this store again! My suggestion is everyone who reads these Yelp reviews take our advices. I'll stick to my general locations, which have Great service and the same quality products. read more

I'm not sure about all of the negative comments about Amore when this store name is Aritaum, unless I'm confused. I frequent here ever since it opened due to the fact that my mom is a Diamond VIP member at this place. I use most of my products starting from Laneige, IOPE, and Sulwhasoo. I started with Laneige when I was around 18, and currently use Sulwhasoo face wash, followed by IOPE's set. I have the Bio Essence and basically everything from the set except for the face wash and the triple lifting serum (that item gives me a rash). Just today, I returned the item due to the rash and was able to receive store credit to get another item of equivalent value. I don't see how their attitude is "bad," or people are just trying demean Aritaum's value. I'd recommend Candy, the lady who helped me when I was going through all of the men's products and trying to get new things for myself and my mom. read more

I get a lot of my skincare/makeup products here. They also give you quite a bit of samples to try. I was running low on supplies and they were closed whenever I went. It was not until I saw the notice posted on the door that I noticed they had limited hours during COVID-19. They're open Tues, Wed, and Sun from 1pm-6pm. Contact numbers are 626-517-7033 and 626-349-9966 according to the flyer posted, which are different from the listed number on this yelp page. read more

The Amore is brand new in this plaza. Not only does Amore always give out samples up the yin yang, they're giving away some cute freebies for their grand opening promo. I'm a sucker for Laneige. As mentioned previously, they're doing a BOGO free promo for the Laneige Water Sleeping Pack. After cleansing, you just put it on your face as an overnight moisturizer. Next day, your skin is perfect. Doesn't leave any greasy oily residue and it's not at all heavy. The free one you get is the equivalent amount in 4 deluxe sample jars. For those who are travelers (such as myself) this is so convenient for carry on toiletries. The saleslady at Amore (didn't catch her name, but she spoke Mandarin) is very helpful. She wasn't rude or quick to point out my skin's flaws like how some Asian beauty store sales people can be (i.e. yes yes, you have a lot of wrinkles you need this. no no your skin so dry, you need this etc etc) but she did assess my combination skin (typical for most Asians) in a constructive way. If you want a sample of something before deciding to buy it later, don't be afraid to ask! She was more than willing to toss a bunch in my bag! I'm a big fan of the Laneige Perfect Renew Dual Touch Eye cream. I bought one, but she gave a bunch of those samples to my friend and threw in doubles of every other sample since she liked how we are such great friends. Super nice lady. read more

I've been their customer for long time(5 years probably)and i always coming back there... thank you Candy for always serving me with the best service... and all the beauty samples are amazing... it is what makes me keep purchasing the other skin care there because i try before buying it to know that it will be ok on my sensitive skin... and it works... everyone who see my face always telling me "wow you have a very good skin.. what product are u using?" And I will proudly answer "its a Korean skin care product called Sulwhasoo" I finally can find what type of skin care product that fits my skin well... it's a little more expensive than other brand in the store but it's worth the money... they have Laneige that works ok to me and also the Iope cushion works well to make your face look smooth.. All the skin care products here is worth to try..but i will say Sulwhasoo is the best!!! read more

This is based on my latest purchase here. I went in and look for the bb cushion. At first,i was thinking about getting the IOPE one which i heard its much better than the Laneige one I've been using. My bad i didnt see it was next to the laneige counter. So i ended up buying the same old laneige. While the women was ringing my item,I noticed the IOPe advertise sign on the counter. So i was like yeah they must have it here then. But when i asked the women, she was like "its right there" with such an attitude like i was so stupid i didnt see. I was trying to be calm as heck and ask "is it possible for me to change it to this one instead please?" She was like "im not sure but let me try" 3 mins have passed. She still couldnt figure out. She ended up saying "im sorry,i didnt know how to do it. All im trying to say is ""reallllyyyyyy?"" You dont know how to just return the item and have me buy a new one which is more expensive???? I'm so done. read more

It seems like a lot of the reviews about this place are about the service. I am a slightly tanned chinese and the moment u walked in she suggested skin whitening products immediately without even me letting her know what I wanted. It's not the first time this has happened since "APPARENTLY" it's not natural to be a bit more tanned when living in southern california. Rude rude rude!!! I stopped in with a girlfriend who wanted to purchase a few Laneige skincare products. We were browsing the store when one of the associates came over to ask if we had any questions. Her attitude was less than pleasant and she made actually made us feel quite unwelcome. She looked visibly annoyed because we didn't have any questions. I'm a regular user of Laneige products and am fairly familiar with their different lines. I noticed a travel pack on display that contained a small bottle from their white plus renew line which I know is only available in Asia. I asked the same associate if they had started carrying the white plus renew line and if it was available in the store. I could not believe the look that she gave me as well as the tone of condescension in her voice when she pointed out that it is the same as the bright renew line. She then proceeded to argue with me quite aggressively and insisting that I was wrong when I disagreed and told her that in Asia, they carry both lines. Look girl, I could very well be wrong but someone needs to give you a lesson in customer service because belittling and arguing with your customer will not ensure that you stay employed. Learn humility because none of us can claim that we know everything. Management, please get rid her. read more

I'm only giving it two stars because it's very close to were I live and I love leinage products. But the service was absolutely terrible. Lady on the counter was not trying to sell anything to me or anyone. Didn't offer me any help or anyone I saw there any help. She was too busy chit chatting with her friend by the Counter. When I went to pay for my purchase the only greeting I got was the question JUST ONE? I normally go to the leinage inside the San gabriel super store and the sales people are very friendly and helpful. They offer me free samples that goes with the skincare line when i make purchases so that I can try it out and purchase if I like it, but this one just shoved me my bag after I made my purchase and didn't offer me any samples and seemed like I was interrupting her conversation with her friend. I don't think I would come back here. I'd rather go out of my way to the other store for the better service. I mean great service does help sale! read more

Is it possible to give 0 star review? I wish. This place deserves 0 star. I went to this shop today hoping to buy some foundation. And I want to compare iope and sulwashoo ( however you spell that ) products. When I walk in, no greetings. I asked the lady if she can help me to choose the product, this is her response, "put it on your face". If the place was crowded or she's helping other costumers then I would get it. THERE WAS NO ONE ELSE, THE PLACE IS EMPTY I would never go back there again. For the management of that shop: you have no idea how many customers you lost because of her read more

I didn't look up on yelp for the reviews on this store before I went to visit and now that I have gone and read the reviews I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks they have the worst customer service. The sales lady needs to go to training again to help explain to customers what each product does and what each brand provides. 3.5 stars. I've been to this store several times over the past few years. I can agree with other reviewers about this place not having exactly the greatest service, but at this point I'm already used to it and it has become part of my expectation (lol). But anyways, personally I prefer to be left alone when shopping. Sometimes I am asked if I need help, and sometimes I am ignored. It's not like they don't offer help at all because on some occasions I have seen them assisting a previous customer (although the person was making a big purchase I think). I can't really vouch for the quality of their help though. But honestly I think it has become this way because lot of the type of crowd around here who just walk in and out, so they probably don't bother trying. Anyways, this place was called Amore and recently (about 3 months ago?) they have remodeled the interior and changed the name to Aritaum. It does look better inside, and it seems like they carry more makeup items than before. I don't recall too well because that wasn't my thing before, but in addition to skincare items for Iope, Laneige, and Sulwhasoo, they had like maybe 2 tiny stands for makeup items. Now there is a wider variety of lip and face products for each brand -- Laneige, Aritaum, Mamonde and Iope. However, there seems to be a lot of empty spots which is not really appealing. Maybe they're waiting for shipment or something, but I didn't like how they don't carry a lot of lip and eyeshadow shades for certain lines, and they didn't have all the colors samples out for testing (MAJOR BOOO). Also, I wish they played music there or something because it gets a bit awkward when you're alone with the salesperson. There is a minimum purchase of $20 (I think) to use a credit card. read more
