I brought in a vaccine voucher from my clinic that allows me to receive a vaccine at CVS, even when my insurance is not contracted with the pharmacy. Unfortunately, I was initially turned away despite presenting the voucher. The staff member assisting me told me that the voucher would not work and that I would have to pay out of pocket for the vaccine, which was confusing and frustrating. Thankfully, Joseph stepped in and took the time to help me. He went above and beyond to figure out the issue and get everything resolved. As it turned out, the system was very particular about how the information needed to be entered. Rather than simply turning me away or telling me to pay out of pocket, Joseph demonstrated patience, resourcefulness, and a genuine willingness to find a solution. This is what exceptional patient care looks like. Healthcare is not just about processing prescriptions or following a system's prompts. It's about taking the time to listen to patients, understanding their concerns, advocating for them, and making an effort to find solutions when things don't go as expected. Joseph demonstrated the kind of compassion and professionalism that can make a stressful healthcare experience so much better. I stopped and we walked in to see if we could get it refilled. Well, we were informed by the pharmacist that in order to get a prescription refilled, the prescription needs to be transferred over from the current pharmacy to the new pharmacy. Unfortunately, the current pharmacy was already closed for the day so we'll have to try again next time. Pharmacist was okay. Not the smiley type though. Hey, we're not here to make friends. We just need to get our medications and that is what matters LOL. However, a friendly smile can lift up someone's spirits any time of the day... do try to put it in your daily practice... it will make your heart sing and make someone's day! It was extremely difficult to schedule an appointment with my own provider so I decided to pay out of pocket to get it done at a local CVS. Scheduling an appointment through the CVS app was super easy and the check in process was seamless. I received notifications on my phone with reminders to check and I was called into the doctor's office within a 5 minutes wait (walk ins are welcomed, btw!) The doctor was friendly and very thorough with the process. The test was quick and I was able to schedule a follow up visit to check the results the following Monday, and I received an email notification right away confirming my appointment. It was $35 for the appointment and it will be another $50 for the follow up. Definitely had a wonderful experience!

Terrible Customer Service & Lack of Care w/ pharmacist…read more I had an incredibly frustrating experience around 9 PM with pharmacist Maggie Cheung. The pharmacy wasn't busy, there was no line, and only one or two other people there were just sitting down waiting. When she told me my prescription wasn't there, I called my urgent care clinic, who confirmed it was sent. I tried to politely wave to Maggie to say "excuse me," but she completely ignored me. When I asked her to double-check, she suddenly found it and dismissively said, "Oh, they just sent it right now." Her attitude was terrible--no greetings, no "hi," no "bye." To make matters worse, she didn't bother to give me any patient counseling or explain how to take the medication. There is no excuse for this level of poor service when she wasn't even busy helping anyone else.
