I always get my pictures printed here. So easy to upload and order online. Sometimes they are busy though, and pictures are not available until the end of the day or even next day. There's always a coupon though, and would rather go here than get pictures printed at the local Costco nearby. Have also gone here the last two years to get my annual flu shot. The pharmacist and staff are pretty friendly. Short wait when they're busy. Have also gotten prescription meds here and pretty satisfied. There's a drive-thru window for the pharmacy which I've used once. Prefer to walk in to look for deals while waiting for prescription order. Granted it's a drug store, but I wish they had more of a selection in their food section. Somewhat limited, but there's a Fresh and Easy and Target nearby. read more

Can't get it on Sunday, the day 2 days after it's been cleared by the FDA and CDC. Apparently the Alhambra store hasn't been updated. There have been a couple of time that the pharmacy has pissed me off. I have come to find that the problem was my employer change of insurance plans has resulted in these new guidelines that I didn't have to deal with. So the medications that my family routinely need, now has additional protocols to clear before pick up. Management indicated that our insurance and doctors have to arrange and clear up this items before the prescriptions are filled. Problem solved and now everything runs smoothly. Drive up window is a huge time saver. Get the app so you can know exactly when it ready for pickup. Redbox yes! How convenient is that? Store is in order and staff are always friendly. When you walk in....Welcome to Walgreens " FedEx pickup as well. My new phone was shipped here and I was able to pick up at photo department. Please folks, be patient with the photo department. This is a convenient store not a photography studio. I often see and hear shoppers complaining about trying to get their photos printed and the kiosk not reading their thumb drives. Called the photo department and several times, finally a female with Chinese accent asked what I wanted and hang up on me. Called again and asked for the manager and was left on hold until the line was cut off. Called 16 times and no answer at all. This place is a mess and their pharmacists aren't very bright. I asked for two over the counter drugs and they told me I needed a doctor's prescription when my doc stated twice they were over the counter. Products were everywhere and even on the aisles where patrons like me could trip and fall. So I left and went to Rite Aid a couple miles away for Ice Cream and my drugs. read more

I wanted to write this review specifically about the pharmacy. The entire team is incredible! I've been going to this location for about five years. Two years ago my insurance changed to one that does not work with Walgreens. I actually decided to to make the switch to an entirely different insurance company (from healthnet to blue shield) just to come back to the team that has been there for our family whenever needed. It cost us slightly more and still it was well worth it. They go above and beyond. They try to find the best deals and offer the best service we have ever had. read more

Mgr. name RENE seemed to be sick, he had a brown paper towel he was using to blow his nose in the front, then he decided to help the cashier with the line since the line was long. RENE called the next customer in line to cash out which was me, right before I walked up to the counter he wiped his nose with the back of his bear hand. He didn't use hand sanitizer so I asked him if he had any and if he was going to use some before ringing me up, he said we sell hand sanitizer, I said no are you going to use it since you're blowing your nose and you just wiped your hand with you bear hand, he said I don't have any. I thought that was gross, unprofessional and he could possibly be spreading his sickness. He tried to argue with me a bit, I asked him not to argue with me since he was causing a scene in front of the other customers. I decided to wait for the other cashier to ring me up. This Walgreens location is a pretty large store compared to others one. I like how the store clerks noticed I needed some help and they were on top of it! I came in only wanting to buy one item but since a lot of things were on sale I ended up getting a whole basket full! This Walgreens location is located in Alhambra off Main St. They have a pharmacy drive through for this one as well! The inside of the store when I went was very organized and I saw many workers in different isles keeping the place nice and clean!! I don't really shop at Walgreens because most of the time the stores are small and they don't carry a lot of things. But this Walgreens had what I needed and much more. You're always greeted by the sweetest cashiers once you walk in.. I come here often to grab a quick snack and I love it because they always have the best sales! Also, a co worker of mine once needed a quick change of clothes and she ran here to buy a dress! Not the most fashionable, but definitely very convenient! They usually have everything I need for last minute purchases! Especially during the holidays! Last minute gift purchases were done here. This review is for the pharmacy. Some of these pharmacists should be retrained in ethics. The HIPAA Privacy Rule establishes national standards to protect a patients information. Whether or not you are receiving antibiotics or another medication is your private business. It shouldn't be blurted out by an unethical pharmacist for everyone in line to know. If you ask for information about your medication, even then they should be professional enough to discuss it in a shuttle way rather than with a big mouth. I should have checked the reviews before coming in. People are not lying about the lack of service. I was close to this one so I stopped by in hopes of finding my product. No luck. When I went to ask the front they were not very willing to assist in helping me find or obtain the product, whether it be looking for it in the back or processing an order online to ship into the store. Needless to say I am leaving without product and going to my usual one where they are much more helpful. I do however, give the pharmacist in the back 5 Stars for actually stepping out of her area without request and helping me look. Kudos to her! read more

NO stars, If I could give it. The pharmacy has many employees swarming around but all look solemn and unfriendly. The pharmacist actually told me there was no such medication (he could have called the dr phone number is on the prescription) Finally I had to call the dr office myself and the manager slowly repeated the medication name. Then he said oh, we might not have it then told another staff to look it up. After jamming on her keyboard she looks up to tell me it would cost me $1000 dollars, without even asking if the generic would work. Even I, looked up the medication on google to find it even with the scribbled handwriting of the doctor and they tell me this med does not exist! Unfortunately my medicare part D brings me to Walgreens. I am so willing to go elsewhere read more

Luckily I haven't run into bad service as what I've read on here but they are very short of staff at times. There was only one or two occasions that I actually needed assistance and I only saw one cashier that had a line of customers and was lucky enough to find one other associate at the back of the store restocking the shelves. I make frequent visits to this location because it's so close to my workplace. On a normal basis, I usually get what I need to; appreciate the in-store coupons available here. This 2-star review is specifically aimed toward the Photo printing service. A few weeks ago, I placed an order for 100+ digital prints. I picked up on the same day and drove home before seeing that the photo quality was crap. I had chosen "true digital" size (4x5.3") instead of my regular 4"x6" because I wanted to avoid cropping. When I viewed my photos, I saw that even though I ordered glossy, the pictures were all finished matte. On top of that, almost every single picture was blurry. I called Walgreens and asked them if I could have my photos reprinted because the pictures I received were of crappy quality. The sales associate on the phone advised me to re-place the same order on the internet and choose 4x6 prints because the true-digital sized photos ONLY print with Matte finish (it would help if they mentioned that on the website before ordering...). So I went online and tried to find my pictures. Gone. My account claimed "No orders within the last 12 months". I didn't want to upload everything again, so I contacted consumer relations to ask how to find the photos I already uploaded. She replied my email by telling me to go to a help page or call a 800 number. She did not address my question at all. I decided to try again; I emailed customer service and this time, the staff helped me locate my pictures with step by step instructions, which I really appreciated. I replaced my order and went in today to exchange for my old, bad prints. At the photo counter, the manager was annoyed at me for the exchange. First he told me to pay additionally, which I refused because it was the exact same order I was picking up and I'd already paid the first time (I had the receipt). Then he sighed and told me that I should have done this sooner because the prices for photo printing changed and he had to do something extra to void the charge. I tried to explain to him that customer service gave me run around and that's why it took so long, but I could tell he couldn't care less so I just shut it and let him finish punching in at the register. Just a side note, I also wanted to exchange some other products as well and of course the same manager is the only one who can process these exchanges. Upon exchanging, he told me the same thing again: "you should have exchanged earlier because the prices changed and now I have to..." I explained to him that they were out of stock and that is why I came later. Most stores stock weekly, just as sales change weekly. it was inevitable for prices to change, and I know he did extra work, but don't think I should have feel guilty to make an exchange! :( Anyway, I viewed my photos. Utterly disappointed am I. This was their second attempt to print my order. When I view my photos in my cam and on my PC, they are very clear. The Walgreens-printed photos I have on hand now are not only unclear (again!) but they are EXTREMELY dark. I mean, really - even darker than the first matte pictures! FYI, I am an almost fair-skinned Asian girl but in the pictures, I look BLACK. Sensitive readers, please don't be offended, I am not trying to make a racial comment in any way, but when my skin is yellow in real life, I expect it to look yellow in photos, just the same. I do not want a photo of me to be 20 shades darker than I am, not that there's anything wrong with that - just that I want the photos to be accurate. I don't know if there's a person/equipment/software to blame for such poor quality prints, but I am 100% unsatisfied with my photo order. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Walgreens for my photo prints any more. Pictures printed from a laser printer on plain paper have come out better than the ones I received. This was strike 2 for Walgreens Photo and I'm not waiting around for #3. Boo! read more

I didn't know this place has a Redbox, it's right next to the photo center. I rented some DVDs for my parents to watch, when the rain is pouring it's okay to veg out. =) The selection was wide, newish titles and even Blu-ray DVDs are available. I don't know if other Redboxs have video games, but the option wasn't enabled at this location. Tip: Look for codes at http://www.insideredbox.com/ to save a couple bucks, then reuse those codes on as many different credit/debit cards you have to save even more bucks. Horrible. I can to pick up my sons antibiotics. The prescription was sent here at 10am. I go through the drive through at 6pm. "We're still getting it ready. It's going to be about 15 minutes." There we're cars behind me so I told them I'd go park and come back in 15 minutes. 6:34 I come back and a different pharmacist tell me "the prescription is not ready. I putting it in right now at it will be about 15 minutes". I explain that they told me 15 minutes 30 minutes ago and it turns out that the previous pharmacist didn't even submit the prescription. Always an issue when I come to this pharmacy. Unfortunately Walgreens is the only pharmacy my insurance works with at the time. read more

I usually prefer Walgreens over the other mega drugstore chains. Their stores are usually pretty well organized, prices are reasonable (especially the sale items), and they haven't succumbed to any of that club membership bull that CVS and Rite Aid have adopted. This location is very well stocked, has friendly employees, and is never all that busy...so there is always parking and the wait is short. For pharmacy customers, there is also a drive thru. read more

This review is mainly for the PHARMACY!!! The service here is ridiculous...I dropped off my nephew's prescription and the lady pharm tech wasn't happy because i wasn't sure which insurance company he is with. Afterwards she said 15-20 minutes wait...I came back in about 20 minutes and she said almost done...so I sat there and waited...my nephew just got his tooth pulled out and was still bleeding so I asked the lady pharm tech if I can have some tissues and she said no tissues...only these brown paper towel...clearly there were some on the counter. Racist or what? Evil inconsiderate person...I m asking for a little kid not even for myself. Afterwards she called me to pick up the meds and was like wait let me ring up the other guy since he got there first...are u freaken serious? First off, I came first asking if the meds were ready and was already sitting there waiting...2nd, if you wanted to help another then why bothered to call me to pick up the med. The employees here doesn't care about their customers...The man came outta no where and tried to explain the instructions but was constantly running off...rushing to leave or something. Stupid! He did not say HELLO at first, then did not tell me total cost, and no THANK YOU after I paid. They all looked boring or like zombies, no expression... what is wrong with them ? This pharmacy is so worthless. I've called to make sure my prescriptions are ready and they answer, immediately put you on hold, and then never answer again. So you're stuck wasting the trip to the pharmacy if it's not ready yet. Not to mention, they are rude face-to-face. There is obviously some kind of management issue because everyone is so unhappy. Walgreens won't hesitate to text you every single day that your prescription is ready. But their text fails to inform you that after seven days, your prescription is released and you have to submit it again (this is less time than the average pharmacy hold). I won't be wasting my time and money here anymore. I'm happy to go somewhere else with at least decent customer service. read more

Prescriptions for my husband and my flu medications were late multiple times. Considering some medications for flu and cold do not work after a certain number of hours after symptoms appear, this is unacceptable. The service is meh and there's just not much else to say about this mediocre pharmacy. The actual store itself is fine. I browse sometimes for drugstore cosmetics but have yet to be able to find a Revlon lip product here with its seal unbroken. Gross. read more

The photo department is a joke. I called before coming here asking if I can take a passport photo and the lady who answered the phone said yes. Once I got there, there was an older Asian guy who was working. I told him that I'm here to take a passport photo and he denied me saying he couldn't take my picture because of covid restrictions. I understand that COVID is a serious issue right now but I was told that my picture can be taken. He then mentioned that he can do the 2x2 which would cost $14.99 and I proceeded with it thinking that he finally decided that my picture will be taken. Well I was wrong, he went ahead and called someone else to come "take my picture" but ended up asking me for a picture of myself from my phone. I left the store and decided to call. The same lady from this morning picked up and I explained to her what happened and she ends up transferring me to someone else (I'm assuming the manager). I explained again about the situation how I was told that I can get my picture taken after calling this store, but was not provided with the service. The manager ends up giving me another Walgreens phone number and tells me to call and ask if they would take my picture. I went ahead and asked the manager why my picture couldn't be taken and he proceeds "My employees may not be comfortable because of COVID-19." Okay, so if they aren't comfortable then they shouldn't be working especially when they see people everyday. Anyway, I would avoid the photo department. You'll end up with a different answer once you're there and they will just make up some lame excuses. Do not waste your time here. read more

why does this walgreens only have 3 stars?? came here to get cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2 from their red box kiosk. i'll admit, i was a little hesitant as i never venture to this area of alhambra and rarely go to walgreens, period. however, with limited kiosk selections, we figured this was the most convenient location. when we got in, my boyfriend went to get the movie while i ventured to the snacks in attempt to find puffcorns - unfortunately the ralphs we visited before did not stock them! i found the puffcorns and headed to the redbox kiosk where the photo tech was telling my boyfriend what a great movie cloudy is and how shes watched it several times with her children. the cashier was equally nice and complimented our snack choice in the puffcorns. all around, great trip to walgreens with delightful conversations with the workers! read more

Haven't been here to shop, usually go to CVS. I stopped by to buy the Renaissance Faire tickets since they were discounted here. It was quick and easy to buy! The print outs of the tickets were pretty bad, they were low on ink, the faire accepted the tickets no problem so yay again! read more

I went to Walgreen at 2511 West Main St., Alhambra CA 91801 arount 6:15 pm on Mar. 30, 2020. The pharmacist with dark skin (Hilda) checked my information again and again with computer for quite a while. She told me that my Optum card is not active and One Touch test strip is not covered by my insurance. I went home and called my insurance. I was told my card is active and test strip is covered. I went to Walgreen again, the light skin pharmacist (Karla) processed with same information without problem. I told Karla what happened before and said I am over 70 and had to come back again during the time of corona virus in front of Hilda. Hilda was listening and did not say anything. The resolution of Walgreens was a phone call from Michael, he said that I gave diffrent card so the process did not go through first time. The fact is I have only one card. I believe the best way to solve the problem is going to other pharmacy instead. read more

ive been using this pharmacy for almost 2 years now & every single time they some how f*ck up my prescriptions. even when my dr calls them in they cant seem to figure out hoe to fill ALL of them within 24hours. and also when i call them in over the phone whether i type in the script code or talk to a person they still manage to miss 1-3 of my vital prescriptions. also when i go in person & pick up & tell them im missing some medicines they are very short & rude & do not apologize for their inconvenience. i AM going to switch to a different pharmacy. & the head pharmacist is a very strange guy & doesnt seem to help. read more
