First off, the pharmacy is a complete mess! I quit using CVS's pharmacy after my meds were out of stock every other month, and there was confusion about my meds. I dropped off a script for a medication that under no circumstances was to be substituted. CVS switched my medication and called my doctor. My doctor was beyond furious. I was helping my grandma shop as it was her first time using her OTC memeber card. I am not too familiar on the process myself, but we walked in and soon noticed that this store does not having shopping carts. I find this odd as it's also a pharmacy store, so I know those who are elderly benefit from carts instead of carrying items/basket. As my grandma wondered to the bulk section, I found a worker with no name tag. I asked the worker if they had shopping carts and she let me know that they don't have them but that there is hand baskets at the register. I asked her, "what do we do if we are getting bulk items, do we call someone to help?" She responded, "well I am clocking out." And proceeded to walk towards the front. I follow along taken back and asked a cashier for a basket, and when I did asked for the rude middle age lady name. I was told it was Myra/Marie one of those. She did not even answer my question and assumed I would ask for her help. She seems unhappy working there, and doesn't seem to hide it. I then proceeded to go back and forth from the register to put bulk items down. I was so glad that I came with my grandma because I couldn't imagine her carrying such items and getting such rude customer service. lol I don't even know where to start... I placed some orders for mobile prints thru the app. The process was pretty easy. The price was ok for 4 photos with a discount. I ordered 3 of the 4x6 and one poster glossy paper. The email said prob within the hour or so. I never got an email saying if the photos were ready or not. It was going to be about an hr in a half since I ordered. I decided to call because I needed the photos the same day. A female staff answered the line. Right when I said I am following up on my photos, she said for me to hold because she was taking care of a line. Ok... waited about 3 minutes and a guy got on the line. He couldn't even find my order. When he finally found me, he said maybe about 20-30 minutes. I decided to just go home and charge my phone before heading over. Still no email from them. I got there. The line was somewhat long. I actually tried to go to the photo machine to see if I can just print it myself. However, after like 10 minutes I decided to just ask them. Both machines were broken. It connected to the phone then disconnected arghhh I decided to get in line, but figure I still should ask one of the staffs about it. The gal was like gotta get in line for it. When I got to the register, I told another gal and she was like huh. I had to repeat myself like 3 times. She then proceeded to go help me, but some random customer came to ask for help. So she just took off then returned shortly. THEY DIDNT EVEN WORKED ON THE PHOTOS!!!!! Like why do I need to place online order if they gonna work on it when I am actually there. The pharmacy is large and the manager is great so are the pharmacists. However...the young man checking people out w wavy brown hair is not trained for dealing with the public. He refused to check me out despite me having 3 pharmacy items. There was NO ONE IN LINE. I was buying pharmacy products he kept parroting RX CHECK OUT RX CHECK OUT. There is no hard rule that if you don't have a rx that minute you can't be checked out. I've spent thousands of dollars at CVS picking up prescriptions. And I was clearly buying three pharmacy items. He needs to be working in the back where he can parrot things on the wall back to himself. read more

The worst customers service! That manager should be fired, even the workers were nicer than her (if she's the manager. Hispanic in her 40s). While shopping there I had to use the bathroom badly, because I'm pregnant. The pharmacist told me to ask for the front cashier because they have the keys. I asked them, the younger girl said it's closed but I explained why I had to use the bathroom, so she turned to the older woman who I think was the manager, this heartless B said no. Wow! I suffered from a reactive airway disorder where I could cough all night without breaks. My doctor prescribed a cough syrup with codeine to help me rest at night. After losing sleep for a few days, I arrived at the pharmacy with a prescription, finally with some hope to rest better at night to continue battle with my sickness. The staff here told me heartlessly, "we don't have this in stock. Wait until next week." Hope shattered. I realize at that moment how vulnerable we can be when we are sick and desperately need help. It's 4 pm on Friday. Everywhere is about to close. I have about 1 hour left before sinking into the hopeless ocean of suffering an entire weekend without any help. I begged them to help me, either call doctor's office, or to look up some stores that might have this medication. I started calling myself as well. Time is running out. I can't do this alone. Other pharmacies don't typically help with controlled substance for brand new patients. I have been a patient here for over a decade, and I have a legit cough with proof of medication over the years. The staff here impatiently told me, "I have been very patient with you already. I told you no. A No is a no." They said they can't help look up anything because this is a controlled substance. No matter how I explain my situation, I'm met with a cold stone tone that basically says "you deal with it. Nothing we can do" In my desperate efforts of calling other pharmacies, thankfully I encountered someone who is compassionate enough to help me with it and pointed me to a pharmacy store that has it. I quickly called my doctor's office and had him resend the prescription. This compassionate pharmacist explained to me that pharmacies generally don't like to fill controlled substance or look up another pharmacy because of the risks associate with controlled substances. But there are different level of risks. A cough syrup with codeine to help a suffering patient get some rest, especially when the patient has been a regular patient and has a responsible history of managing medication and a legit medical reason for it, plus the doctor's office will have to resend the prescription (the prescription cannot be transferred) all indicate this is much needed help for patients with very minimal risks. Words cannot describe my disappointment and anger when the staff shut the window and left. I understand this might be a systemic problem rather than individual. We are all so vulnerable when we are in need of medical attention. We deserve to be treated with respect and care in those moments. If you are looking for a pharmacy that takes care of you in this way, Lotus Pharmacy in San Gabriel is a hidden gem. The owner really takes care of his patients with understanding and empathy. read more

I wouldn't even give this place 1 star, but it wont let me post my comment if i didn't give any rating. This review is regarding the pharmacy. Made the appointment for the vaccine today. Waited an hour after my appointment/checking in to get it. When I called while waiting in line, the representative told me just wait in line. I came up to the pharmacist after i was vaccinated and he said it is a long wait because they are short staffed. I was only asking for the disclaimer of "there will be a wait /line even if an appointment is set" to be placed when booking online so everyone knows what to expect. I asked why he wasn't taking my feedback, he said "i already apologized." Very poor customer service. I was late picking up my son from school because of this delay. Also, after the vaccine, the ideal practice is to observe the person 15minutes after the vaccine is given to see if they have any reactions. They do not even have any space for that or any instructions provided after administering the vaccine. read more

One of the worst run pharmacy's I've seen. Particularly the drive-through. They close the drive thru during lunch for about 90 mins beginning I believe at 12:30PM. I rushed to get there and arrived at 12: 28 and they refused to help me because they were about to go to lunch. Mind you I was there on-time and my RX was already filled. I asked for the manager, Shannon, and she told me in short that it was inconsiderate of me to show up before lunch and ask for my RX. She said they usually start closing up about 15 mins before lunch and that they generally don't like to help customers at that time. I asked her where on earth they had posted or informed their customers of this and she admitted it was not posted. I told her that maybe they should clearly POST this useful information so that customer like myself dont waste their time time driving to arrive in-time just to be turned away. Yes its best to arrive earlier but thats not the point. IF your hours say you take lunch at 12:30 (which is strange that they all have to go go lunch at the same time) then that means you SHOULD BE THERE TO SERVE YOUR CUSTOMERS UNTIL 12:30 PERIOD!!! Shannon was unprofessional, unreasonable for dismissing a very reasonable point, was offensive by calling me inconsiderate, and very unskilled in dealing with customer issues. I'm on a Sunday afternoon in late March, The sign says go to other door to check in and given a card. Then we head to aisle 13 to wait in line and arrived 10min early for my vaccine shot. Then I had to show on my app of the appt time and show my driver license and insurance card. Next walked to side of pharmacy to get my shot. The staff was nice and friendly. The Pfizer shot was a small prick on the skin. Lastly we had to wait for 15 mins as a precaution. The whole process was smooth and short. read more

I always go to CVS pharmacy, when I'm not feeling good. They have really good medication, and they have one of the best pharmacies in the country. Everybody there is nice, and they also have snacks that you can go and get on the go. The water is delicious, and I love the coupons that you get after you make a purchase. There's a lot of things that the store has, like the kneee braces, and things are essential for emergencies. CVS pharmacy is right by my house, so it's real convenient to walk over and get snacks especially late at night. read more

I switched to this location because they have a drive up window for prescriptions. I regret transferring all my prescriptions, I have a lot. This location doesn't seem well managed. It closes down entirely for half an hour every day so the pharmacist can go to lunch. During that time you can't pick up a prescription, the drive up window is closed and the phone will not be answered. I was there today Monday and there was only one tech dispensing prescriptions, working the drive up window and serving customers inside the pharmacy. I've never seen more than one person serving the public. Today there were a lot of people inside lined up for senior flu shots, but this location doesn't have a separate private room for vaccinations. They put up a flimsy partition which I had to go around to see the over the counter products I needed. I was forced to invade the privacy of the person getting a vaccination. I wanted to buy a few pairs of reading glasses, but they only had 1 to 2 power, nothing higher. Totally useless for me. This was the middle of the day, not late night, when there should be full coverage. Totally incompetent management. read more

Man oh man, I am definitely not a fan of this CVS...but only come back because its walking distance from home. It's always understaffed and always a struggle trying to find some help to look for a particular item you can't find. Also, if you do a photo pick-up, it takes extremely long to be acknowledged...just to pick up your photos! The shelves are not always well-stocked either. The lines are always long and cut right through the middle of the store, which is a little awkward. All in all though, the root cause of all the issues is understaffing...once they figure that out, this would be a nice place to get your essentials. Pro tip - if you're a CVS card member, go to the red machine at the front of the store and get a list of coupons/savings. It can have a coupon(s) for things you may be intending to buy, as well as any savings built up on your account that can be used toward your purchases! read more
