I don't like leaving bad reviews but my experience here sucked bad enough to still be salty about it 4 months later.
I absolutely love Walgreens and I have a few locations around LA that I regularly go to to print photos. I understand that, from time to time, there will be issues with the machines or maybe my order was overlooked. It happens and I don't mind patiently waiting for it to be sorted out. But this Walgreens just really was a terrible experience.
I submitted a photo order around 2am on Christmas Day with expected finish time of ~4am - perfect, because I was expected to be there around 8am before heading to my parents'. I get there later that morning. There is a line with 2 people waiting to check out, one lady at the register and maybe three more associates on floor. It's well-staffed for the small number of customers there. I wait at the photo desk for someone to head over because I realize that the cashier noticed I needed assistance. 10 minutes later, I go ask her if somene can help me because nobody was coming. No biggie. She calls someone. The guy comes out of the back room and ignores me for a minute before asking my name. He looks and tells me they dont have my order. Okay, well now what? He says I can resubmit through my phone and they'll have it in a few minutes. I do this three times before he bothers checking to make sure the printer is on. Spoiler alert: it's not. Still not a big deal, but I've been here for 20 minutes and kinda wanna get over to my parents' to start Christmas morning. He messes around with it and says oh theres something wrong with it, leaves and doesn't come back... Haha, okay, well what the hell. I wait because I assume he's coming back someday. 20 minutes later (not exaggerating) I ask some guy in an aisle for help because the photo guy just went MIA and I don't know what I'm supposed to do. He gets the photo guy who comes out, tries to work the printer again, and then starts doing randm shit around the back area. I ask if it's going to print my photos because he literally hasn't told me anything, he is bothered and says he doesn't know and that they probably have to call support. He obv doesn't want to call but murmers about going to the back for something and doesn't return. 10 minutes later, he's still back there, there's employees walking by pretending like I dont exist, and the woman at the front is annoyed when I ask her to get the guy for me to see wtf is going on. In the entire time I was there he did not once tell me straight up what was happening. I didn't know if my pictures would print, I didn't know if he was calling for help, I didn't know if I was supposed to be waiting for him. No idea. So she gets him and he comes out and looks at me as if he doesn't know why I'm there. So I ask him, still politely, if they will be done or if it will be working soon because I had been there almost an hour and really needed to go. All he said, no joke, was "uh, I don't know. Why don't you just try back later I guess". Like. Okay. Dude. If you dont have intentions of fixing thr printer right now or trying to figure out this problem for your customer, at least do me the kindness of telling me in one of the three times you knew I was waiting so I'm not standing there like a moron for an hour waiting for you to emerge from your secret lair. I needed these pictures for a gift I was trying to get together before heading to my parents' and, had I known they weren't going to do anything to attempt to solve the problem, I would have gladly gone to another Walgreens while I still had time.
I didn't go back and happily got them filled without issue at Northridge the next day. read more
