This Walgreens can be a hit or miss depending what workers you interact with. I went about 1 week ago to get my Passport Photo taken. I called to verify that someone was capable of doing this process for me. I was told yes. I went and was helped in total by 3 different guys, which took a whole 45-60 minutes, not 15 minutes as I was told. Long story short, when my bf and I attempted to sign up for our passports we were told out Photos were NOT ACCEPTABLE and we were unable to file. How annoying and inconvenient. Especially having gone to a Passport Approved location I went back to demand a refund, and was helped by a lady who is head of the Photo Dept. She saw the pictures and didn't even ask me to explain, she was very apologetic and asked if I would like her to redo them. At this point I was mad and just wanted a refund. I did end up going back. I figured that if I had to rely on whatever employee is on shift, whether it be Walgreens, CVS or Walmart, etc...I might as well go back knowing that she definitely knows what she is doing. I called to confirm that she was there. We arrived and she was beyond helpful and the process did in fact take 15 minutes as advertised. Lindsey totally made my day and went out of her way to ensure I was happy with my purchase. So if you are going for Passport Photos, be sure to ask for Lindsey. She's awesome! read more

24 hr pharmacy. Need I say more? Feelin' like gettin' drugged up at 2 am in the morning and you so happen to have a handy prescription? This Walgreens is here for you. Perfect for ER emergencies - take my dad for example. My pops was admitted to the ER recently because he was having unusual sharp pain on his abdomen area. They find out he has one small kidney stone. Not a surprise, the man drinks coffee & tea like water, has irregular eating habits, and stays up late playing poker on the computer with other Chinese from China. Dam my brother for introducing him to the world of internet and games. Thankfully, this Walgreen's pharmacy stays up 24 hrs and I was able to fetch my dad's vicodin. Mmmm mmm goodness! read more

A really nice and clean Walgreens in the old Tower Records building in Monterey Park. I only go here after work (passed 3am) and the parking lot always feels a little too lonely and creepy to me, but the store is pleasant and the employees are always helpful and kind. read more

I came here to have my passport photo taken. Service was efficient and the photo was taken by Lindsey on a typical point-and-shoot digital camera with a white pull down backdrop (like a projection screen). Some people were using the photo kiosks, so the staff told me they had to wait for the customers to finish using the kiosks so that they could use it themselves in order to print out the passport photos for me. I did some shopping and picked up my photos maybe around 30-45 minutes later. It cost $12 to get 2 passport photos, and I was satisfied with the photos. I guess the only reason I don't give 5 stars is because I happened to walk into Costco later that day and saw the competing rate of $4 for 4 passport photos. So, just a little bit of buyer's remorse. read more

Today I walked into the makeup department at Walgreens in search of perfume. I come here all the time with my family. Unfortunately, Leslie, the store manager ruined my experience at this store. I asked her if I could smell some of the testers behind the glass casing, she asked me which ones. She took pieces of receipts and sprayed them with the testers. When I asked her for a particular perfume she handed me the body spray. I was confused because it had no lid and was not new. I asked her for the price and she took it from me and answered me in a dismissive manner. I told her I would take it but I also wanted a discount for it. She said I couldn't have one because it was already discounted? It was shocking for me to hear her say that because she was selling me a used product, literally I could go to the mall and purchase the same item- new and cheaper! She then begins to speak in a condescending tone, are you ready? Would you like to purchase a bag? Have a nice rest of your day. It's not what she said it's the tone she used. I guess she has done this before and knows how to be rude without violating the store's code of conduct policy. It's a shame that I left the store unsatisfied and really irritated by the way she acted towards me. How can you allow people to purchase items that look used? I'm not coming back to this store. I buy lots of makeup here but I'm making the decision based on this manager's attitude towards me today. read more

Pharmacy: lady by the name of Gabriela in the pharmacy store front is always rude. I've been coming here over a year, and every time she has some sort of issue. Today I came in with my crutches she looked at me, and completely ignored me made me wait, and proceeded to instead answer the phone, didn't apologize, or say sorry for the wait however, the next guest who had waited less that 10 seconds she praised and apologized for the inconvenience. Sadly I've spoken to management about her rude behavior and nothing has been done. I would rate this a zero if I could. read more

I ordered a calendar online as a Christmas present and I guess there was a mix up. I came back at 6:30-7:30pm on Christmas Day to return the bad calendar and the manager was very accommodating. He confirmed the photos with me beforehand and printed it, assembled it, and double checked. read more

So I just reviewed Kaiser pharmacy where I go for my mom's stuff and figured I'd review Walgreens where I go for my stuff. This place is relatively new to my neighborhood, I dunno a few years I guess... before it was either Rite-Aid or CVS (well back then it was Sav-on) Anyway I got tired of waiting in long lines at Sav-on just to pick up so I tried Walgreens and I LOVE IT, very rarely a wait if anything just one or two people in line not a whole aisle worth of people The parking situation is better here as well Also, decent prices, good selection of products and GREAT staff!! The 5 stars is for the photo department. I had ordered photo cards online. When I arrived I had had them made at another location (my bad). When they found out they told me to do it on the app and they would get them to me ASAP. I sent the order in and 2 min later they were printing. The girl at the counter was a great multi tasker and was juggling printing, ringing up photo customers, answering questions and ringing up store customers. I first started coming here few a couple years ago to get an old prescription filled. The other 2 pharmacies in the area only carried a generic brand that I could not tolerate. It was bad, I thought I was gonna go nuts on that one brand. Walgreen's was the only one who had a brand that I could tolerate. I've been a loyal customer since. Even though there are a few pharmacies closer to where I live, I perfer to come here. The staff is friendly, and they are both quick and accurate with my prescriptions. And they always ask if I need the pharmacist to explain how to take me medication, even if they are refills! It's pretty safe to say that I'll stay with this Walgreen's for a long time! read more

Inventory management needs attention. The lady worker said that if any item is not sold out, there would be no replacement for it. I wanted to buy Zico coconut water which is sold 2 for $4 or $2.50 each. As such, I wanted to buy two bottles of the Zico coconut water because the first bottle would cost me $2.50 and the second would cost me $1.50; however, it cannot happen because there is only ONE bottle in stock and there cannot be a replacement soon based on the existing ONE-bottle inventory. I love this place... the guys in early morning are super friendly... I practically live here... I live far so to avoid traffic I leave early to work... and kill time here.. they always have the best clearance... I am a girl on a buget, and getting hair dye, hair products for $2 is the best! But you must buy it when you see it bc they run out quick... the associates are very friendly at all times... but the grave yard guys still seem to be in the best mood and still joke around and can make you smile!! This little Walgreens is dope. Staff here is cool and they have low prices and green tag specials left and right! The best deal that comes to mind is a 6 pack of Big Flats beer for $2.99! I know they are only Trying to do their job, and I do feel safer that the clerk does this but if you go in after 11pm this one guy always asks for my ID for CC transactions and since my ID has an extra last name that isn't on my CC he always asks for a manager to help him. This place sucks. I'm a regular in their pharmacy section and if you have an emergency compound drug, they'll take their sweet ass time to make it for you. They'll let you suffer because they think crushing a pill and making it into a compound form takes too much time to do. It can take up to 3 days for them to make it or when you call them asking wassup with the meds. The lady pharmacist is lazier than the male. She once told her pharmacy tech to tell me that they do compounds AFTER 2pm. Of course, she tried to whisper but I could totally tell what's going on. It's called lip reading and body language! In my opinion, you should not be lazy if you have a professional career getting paid $50 an hour. Don't get fooled by the 24hr. It is the store that opens 24hr not the pharmacy itself. Go to CVS on main street if you want somethin 24 hours. Go to Pasadena's Walgreens if you want your drug compounded. Stay away! read more

Although this specific store experience happened on July 23rd [well over a month ago], the fact that I am still willing to comment on it now, tells you how impressed I was with the level of service that I received from a Store Mgr. [Gloria R.] At their "Clearance Section" was a neat gadget manufactured by "Quirky". It was a "Stem-style Citrus Spritzer". Shove this thing into a whole lemon, for example, and then you can spray lemon juice on whatever you like. The regular price was $3.99, however, it was on sale for only $1, so I bought one. A visiting sister-in-law from out-of-the-country liked mine so much, I had to give it to her. So, I returned to this Walgreens later, to buy a few more, but now there was just one left. I bought it too. I asked Gloria if they had anymore and/or if she could tell me if another location might carry it. She informed me that their Artesia, CA store had some and offered me their address + telephone number. That was all that I expected from her, but she exceeded my expectations. Gloria called them for me and asked someone there to verify that the product was actually available. [Sometimes computer inventory data could be wrong.] They found 4 spritzers in their Clearance Section and would hold them for me. Artesia was selling them for $2 each. Gloria asked if they would "price match" them for $1 each and they agreed. After dinner, I drove there late at night and the spritzers were waiting for me as promised. Thank you Gloria for going beyond the call of duty and showing a forever loyal customer that Great Service with a Smile still exists. read more

This place rules. It used to be the old Tower Records on Atlantic. And although I would have preferred a drive thru (hence the 4 stars and not 5), the pharmacy service is great. I used to frequent the Rite Aid in South Pas and wait in a line of 5 or more old/sick people and have to wait for 30 min just to put in my prescription, and then I had to wait another 45 min. Walgreens is fast and easy. If you are a walk in order, it takes about 10-15 min to fill, tops. I walk around the store or read to kill the time. Perfect! read more

I've been coming here for about 2 years and the clerks are nice enough. My complaint is for the pharmacy. I'm over 18 years old and pick up medication for my disabled mother and they have never not given me a hard time. Gabriela specifically is always condescending towards me and never speaks to me as an equal; always inferior. My mother has told her countless times that she is authorizing that i pick up her medication because she is not able to at times and she disregards this, being rude to me every time i come in. She has awful customer service and has an attitude toward everyone, not just me. read more

Love Walgreen's!! never have a problem with refilling my prescriptions. Not like CVS. They always wanted to change my quanity of pills from 30 when its was 60 for the month. NEVER EVER have I had this problem at Walgreen's!!!! Never is a line and i go at different times. if i ever have to wait there is usually only one person ahead of me & I'm out. I love coming to this Walgreens. There is this woman by the name of Lindsey who works there. She gives excellent customer service. Every time I go there, I make sure to look for her. She always puts me in a great mood and is very friendly. I hope she gets promoted. There is also a young man, (don't know his name), but he talks very calm and in low voice. I know I said I liked their photo lab but lately they've just been pissing me off. You know how when you're done using their computer thingy to select which pictures you want printed out and it gives you a time when you can pick them up? Well...you're pictures will not be done by that time! I went around 8pm and clicked on what time I wanted to pick up my pictures (which was 11:47pm that same night), when I went back one worker said "oh, they aren't ready yet...give me about a half hour and I'll have them ready for you." I said "ok, no problem." I left and he must have thought I wasn't going to go back because when I went back he said "oh, you know what, I haven't got a chance to do it?" WTF??? It's not like that place is always busy (seriously, after 10pm you barely get anyone going in there). This wasn't the first time this has happened...now they just say "the computers are down, I don't know when they're going to be back on." Sometimes I have sat at that damn computer picking out pictures (one's from my wedding for example) and there was about 380 pictures that I was waiting to pick up and when I ask for them they said that they never got the order. So...all my hard work was for nothing! I no longer get my photos from here, I go to Kinkos....much better...print out right in front of you. read more
