I stopped by for a late lunch with friends to try this place out! We were really impressed. Everything we tried was delicious and cooked perfectly. The tiramisu was honestly one of the best I've ever had. The staff were friendly and attentive.

I'm on a hunt for the best steak and eggs and I'm very close. Verde was really a vibe the service was great and seating was quick. Their prices are really the best in Brooklyn for brunch. $27 bottomless brunch don't mind if I do the best. The French toast was nice and fluffy great taste fresh fruit. The steak and eggs were good but the steak was alil cold and. Tender yes, eggs were great and nicely tossed with cheese. Home fries were great and soft, fresh salad. Side of bacon was great. Id definitely come back.

I stopped by Verde on Smith in Brooklyn one afternoon with my boyfriend after he recommended it--he'd been before and said everything on the menu was great, and he was NOT lying. This spot is such a good find if you're into hearty Italian flavors and generous portions. Even though it's Italian, they also serve brunch, and we decided to keep it simple. I ordered the scrambled eggs which were surprisingly flavorful and perfectly cooked--creamy and not overdone at all. My boyfriend had the pancakes, and I swear those things were huge and so good--soft, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness without being over the top. Portion sizes here are big, so honestly it's a great place to share plates if you want to try more than one thing. We also had the blood orange passion fruit juice, and it was refreshing and delicious--sweet but still light enough to enjoy with brunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, great food, good portions, and a cozy vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] In the future, they need to accept Phone Tap payments. I can definitely see why this is one of my boyfriend's go-to spots. I'll be back for sure!

3.5 I've dined at Verde since my last review including during the pandemic. Through the following years, it seems to have changed. For one thing, [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sunday brunch seems to draw a long line resembling a club crowd. Never saw this before years ago[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Perhaps it's the boozy brunch but speaking for myself, I prefer to steer clear from such crowds. After an absence, we decided to have brunch here today. Luckily it was quiet and we were seated quickly. Our server was super nice and hospitable. He answered any questions and service was attentive. My order was the Swiss Omelet. A 3 eggs omelet with Swiss Cheese and Mushrooms, I opted for home fries in lieu of the Fries. A small salad also accompanied the meal. My drink of choice was an unsweetened Iced Tea. Refreshing. The other order was Eggs Florentine with Fries. Though I enjoyed my selection, the Egg Florentine wasn't given 2 thumbs up. For one thing, the eggs weren't hot (maybe it was left on the counter for a little while), the Spinach wasn't too flavorful and the Hollandaise sauce was skimpy. I felt bad about the discrepancy between our selections since I really liked mine. I'll give this a solid 3.5. I'd like to experience Verde from when I bragged about it in 2018. Despite this, I'd return.

Verde on Smith Street was a win. The 90-minute bottomless brunch is honestly one of the best deals around. I ordered the steak and eggs Benedict and it came out exactly how I wanted it--perfectly medium rare. Service was fast, attentive, and kept the vibes going. Definitely coming back

By far the best brunch I go to in Brooklyn. I've been coming here for a few years now and I'm never disappointed! The staff are friendly, the food is amazing, and the bottomless is truly bottomless. They continue to refill your glass so you are getting your moneys worth. I've also been here for dinner and it's just as amazing! I can come here any day and know I will be satisfied

This was my first time at Verde's. I went for brunch. We were able to walk in without reservations and be seated. We sat in the back which is partially covered. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I enjoyed the calming music and breeze (they have fans) BUT the flies and bees were a nuisance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My food wasn't hot- not even the fries. I think that would've made it more enjoyable. Would I come back? Probably. The brunch for 2 is priced well and they give a big plate of food. Very affordable!

Went to Verde for brunch last week. It was a weekend so 1 hour of bottomless mimosas was $27. During the week the same service is $22 but I don't mind the charge - they definitely deserve the extra on the weekend. Anyway, it was an absolute incredible meal. Staff was so wonderful. Mimosas flowed for the ENTIRE HOUR. If you want to get your money's worth, come here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Adorable backyard seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Went here as part of my birthday celebration with my girls. We had the bottomless brunch, which offered mimosas or Bellini unlimited for 1 hour. I had pancakes topped with fruit, home fries and sausages. We also had the calamari as an appetizer which was absolutely delicious. Definitely a must try.

Food and service were amazing. 10/10 would visit again. I went with a friend and we had bottomless mimosas--very tasty and I had the chocolate fondue pancakes. So good I can't wait to go back.

We love supporting local businesses and one such treasure is Verde On Smith. We came for Valentine's Day dinner and were not disappointed. They have a full bar and we enjoyed some well made cocktails first. Their baked clams oreganata and zucchini fritters were very fresh and just the right amount of breadcrumbs. Our main courses were the lobster feast and chicken parm, both outstanding! For dessert, we couldn't decide between the tiramisu and the cannoli, so we had both. What a great finish to the meal! We're glad to have this great dining option nearby!

Overall a pleasant experience. The host at the door was a little icy at first but he warmed up by the end. The food was tasty, except my friend did not like her steak. It was cold and undercooked to her liking and also lacked seasoning. The waitresses and servers were pleasant. I'd come again for brunch specifically

Starters: Fried calamari and shrimp- this was a good start although missing a little flavor to the batter but it was good nonetheless. Whipped burrata-this was delicious but it could have been even better with some more of the delicious house bread that we were offered upon arrival. Old fashioned- my boyfriend throughly enjoyed this classic drink. Entrees: Oven roasted branzino- AMAZING! The cook on the branzino was perfect and the broccolini and mini carrots added a beautiful crunch to my experience. I could have taken another order to go. The room is small and romantic, homemade pasta hangs in the front window, and the whole evening felt less like dining out and more like being invited into someone's family table in Florence. We started with the fritto misto, a well executed mix of fried fish and vegetables, alongside an insalata caprese that let fresh tomatoes, burrata and basil speak for themselves. From there we went family style, which is really the only way to do it here. The bucatini cacio e pepe was as much performance as dish, mixed tableside directly in the cheese wheel. The fusilloni di Gragnano from Puglia paired scampi with burrata, cherry tomatoes and arugula for a bright, briny plate, while the tagliatelle verdi brought a rich wild boar ragu finished with fresh black truffle. The two standouts, though, were the agnolotti ossobuco with veal sauce and pecorino fondue rounded out with thyme and lemon, and the lasagna Bolognese. That lasagna, layered with meat ragu, tomato and bechamel, may be the best I have ever had. We paired the meal with a bottle of Salvioni 2022 Rosso di Montalcino, aromatic and beautifully matched to the food. The space is cozy and intimate rather than sprawling, so a reservation is a smart call. Everything else, from the food to the atmosphere to the sense that someone's nonna was cooking just for us, made this one of the most memorable meals in NYC. We would return without hesitation.

I can't say enough great things about the decor the ambience and imagining all of the past goings on in this restaurant. It's been watching over Brooklyn for well over 100 years now! And that's why the kitchen which is at the very back of the restaurant has full glass windows so that you can see exactly what's going on in there. I guess some of these mob guys were paranoid and rightly so consider considering their history. I arrived with my friend on a Wednesday evening about 6 PM and there were some scattered tables but by 7 PM it was mobbed (pun intended ) in there!! our waiter was affable and patient and a quite enjoyable fellow.
