Been here plenty of times, Both Anthony and Richard are very good at there Job!!! This is the best post office I've ever been to. So sad to see any bad reviews. The whole team here does such a good job getting the line through and informing you. I've feel like a shipping pro and get good rates from all the advice they have given. Let's be real, they aren't peppy, would you be? Not the funnest job. So I can see how some might take that as rude but they are just doing there job efficiently and really are kind and care that your shipment goes well, as is gets there safe at a good rate. It's a post office so that's what matters! SO SO SO Happy I can use them for all my business postage needs. read more

I've lived down the street from this post office for 15 years and I've never had an issue coming here. I've started coming here so much so that the employees started memorizing me and what I was coming in there to do. The older Asian gentlemen was always nice to me and treated me with respect when I had no clue how to ship a package out to a customer (first time shipper at the time). All of the employees are very friendly and the prices to ship things are decent as well. Packages have always arrived on time or earlier from either the customer or to myself. It sucked to have to move away, but I'll never forget this spot and my very first experience coming inside to ship my first item out to a customer. I had a very expensive smartphone that was bought after I moved out and it was sent to my old address from down the street instead of my new address and the manager at the time called the mail man on the route and he kindly went back and picked it out of my old mailbox before the new tenants got to it and left it at the post office for me to pick up the next day. I will never forget the generosity and kindness from the employees at this location! The downside is that the lines are just always long but I've encountered this at all post offices so no biggy. read more

I've been waiting for this package for awhile and there were multiple people home but some how they left a pink slip on the door without bothering to knock when my package requires a signature. I have been here multiple times, and have only had 2 "ok" experiences. The most recent, Monday, was my final straw before writing a bad review for this place.. The multiple times I have encountered an older man of asian decent, he has always been rude and talks down to customers like they're all idiots. Now this is my mini-story for Monday: I got a call from my mother, that my package finally came in the mail- but she misplaced the yellow slip. She said it would be there though. So I drive all the way out there with my boyfriend, we get in a line that almost reaches the outside door, and wait there easily for 10+ minutes. While in line, I was approached by an older woman who seemed nice enough, and I explained to her my situation, gave her my ID, and she told me "Well if you just got the slip in the mail- it won't be here..." I insisted that my mom checks mail really late, and it was an old slip. She seemed hesitant to go look for my package, and when she came back she said along the lines of"Nope, like I said- it's not here, try back in a few days." ****WELL I got the slip from mom finally once she found it- my package has been available since the 6th at 9am, I went to the office on the 9th. **** I HOPE it was just that she missed it, not that she didn't even bother looking- I know some people do that.. I really want to give her the benefit of the doubt, but every time I come here I dread it.. At least they have decent parking.. This post office is pretty pathetic - they close the doors minutes early, refuse to answer phone calls, and are too lazy to check your PO box for parcels over the phone. If you can avoid this location, please do by any means necessary. Not one, but many ocassions have I been faced with less than standard service and demeanor by those staffed at this location. I truly hope that the employees and customer service is investigated and corrected. read more

Never had a problem. When I've visited to ship an item all booths would be in use or at atimes one would be closed. The lines goes by quickly as long as the customer seems to know what they want. That one guy with glasses can come across as a douche. Not my fault he knows more than I do on how to ship. I followed what the damn instructions they had on the walls. read more

3 1/2 stars..had a delivery where I could not open the postal box, even sprayed WD40. I called postal office twice letting the phone ring for 5 mins. No pick up. Called 1800 number and they said the call wait was 40 mins..yeah right, like I'm going to wait that long. I had to drive to PO, and talk to manager. He attempted to contact carrier and get it delivered. Thats nice. As it was it wasnt delivered till Sat personally, at my address by the manager. Appreciate that! read more

Joann was the most RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL piece of scum I've ever met. As I was waiting in line I noticed her nasty attitude with a guest before me. She barely acknowledged them because she was too busy gossiping about another employee. She seemed to be upset because they had called out. I believe his name was Joe who she was speaking of. When I approached her she still had a mean face and even worst stinch. I come to this post office quite often to handle business and never had this occur. She refused the packaged because of the address when I've had multiple transactions and receipts to prove I've sent mail without the return address. When I mentioned I'm here all the time she proceeded to downtalk Joe saying he doesn't know how to do his job right & that if anything comes over her counter it's going to have an address on it or use the machines. Her entire tone was demeaning and unnecessary. Also it was totally inappropriate to discuss or degrade another employee. Joann needs a serious coaching for improvements! No wonder you guys have so many 1 star reviews at the Austin drive location! Joann you are unprofessional, unpleasant, and miserable. It shows all over your wrinkles even under that ghostly makeup! Learn to leave your problems at the door when you come to work. & if you do not like your job QUIT! Instead of passing around that horrible energy. If I could rate less I would, this place is horrible. The post master is very rude and very unprofessional. Also an employee who claims to be a superviser shows extremely horrible customer service. That Asian lady whose loud and obnoxious acts like everything is coming out of her paycheck.. That broad has got to go! Don't let her up sell you on the tape by the way . She claims that certain tapes aren't "allowed" .. Like listen lady is it falling apart ? Is my tape bubble gum ?! Anyways she makes me buy the USPS tape cost me like 5 bucks . It comes with 15 strips she'll use them all on one box . How the heck is that possible ?! She found a freaking way . Complete rip off . Also I wanted to ship some Christmas gifts a few months ago and she gave me the expensive box and didn't tell me there was a cheaper option . Until I spoke with an older white gentleman . If you pay 25$ for a next day delivery. You might as well wait by the front door all day because the delivery people don't know how to Ringg a door bell they just leave a we missed you note. Really inconvenient might as well just write in the post office address for delivery and just pick it up in the morning. Now I waited all morning just to call and be told " oh I'll tell them to go back before 4" when the package was supposed to be here at 12 am!! Nothing will be accomplished unless you write comments here and other letters to your Representitives and Senator. These are Government workers that will not be changed unless their boss is fired. Lines are very long and very slow compared to other sites. The overall attittude is a direct reflection of a supervisor that is more interested in her friendship with employees than serving the community. We can only accomplish a change if you complain. I highly suggest you write often to let everyone know what is not happening at this post office. Whenever I go in she always has a smile on her face and tries to do three times the amount of work all the rest of the employees do. This comment is over due. I went here back in 2013 and received poor customer service from Richard. He is the older Asian male with glasses. I too, have been treated extremely rude by him. Surprises me he still works here, with all these comments about him and no one from the US Post Office has responded to any of these reviews regarding him, in order to put good faith or effort into their professional business. I'm pretty sure he's also not the only rude one. If you come here, please expect to know EVERYTHING about how the postal services work, because they will treat you like you do. I get that customers can be overbearing and sometimes annoying but not everyone works at a post office - not everyone is going to understand..and people will have questions! It is your job to explain and answer them. US Post Office, stop talking to your customers in a condescending manner otherwise consider ending your misery and get a new job. read more

Always under staffed and slow providing customer service. I always hold my yellow receipt of package so it is visible and they sometimes ignore you so end up standing in line for 5-10 minutes. Customer service training is really needed here. read more

I have been in business in this city since March, since then every time I received a shipment from suppliers, I always have to pick it up at the post office. What is the purpose of having delivery drivers that don't do the job? And the fact that they are so irresponsible, that they actually blame the customer for the package not being delivered. "hey my business hours are posted on the window". This time the supervisor himself blame me for not having a slip when the driver didn't even leave one in the first place! I then explain to him that the sender is the one who told me about the attempted delivery, how am I supposed to know about the delivery attempt if the slip is not on my window? The supervisor then said that there was nowhere to leave the slip... Really what about the damn mail slot on our door? UPS or FedEx never have an issue, why is it that these guys do if that's all they've ever do? I told them it's no wonder they are going out of business. I am trying to get my change of address set up for once. I do not have regular mail for 2 and half months now, because people from this post office do not do their job properly, they have no proper training, they do not do their job correctly, they do not care and simply. The supervisor herself is poorly trained/qualified, have no people skills, she doesn't understand the issue therefore she is more complicating the problem instead if resolving and more upsetting is that she never, but never apologies. Since we've moved to Spring Valley, this is the post office assigned to us. First of all, I am not impressed initially when I came in the first time because they had few staff and the line was long. I agree to the one previous review about the Asian guy that I think he might seem like rude to the clients. He does not smile & seems not polite either. Just a week ago, i had an appointment for passport application. I understand if the person who would do our passport application had an emergency & can't meet us on our scheduled time so it was moved later that day. When i came back for the rescheduled appointment there is someone ahead of us but it took another 30 mins wait time for me. My gosh! They can't even manage their time. However, good thing i've already filled out my application and the transaction went on smoothly. Anyways, overall the experience was okay. read more

I am giving the post office a 3 for these reasons: I got there at 4;55 to purchase a P. O. Box. I would assume it was the Asian lady helped me and was stern about my starting late. She entered the data and rented me the box. What seemed to be an issue was more her issue of wanting to close at 5pm. I guess being a government business, the idea of closing a few mintues late is an issue. So no star removed for her being kind of rude because I was there right before closing and she is a government employee, not a small business owner trying to earn my business and recommendations. No stars removed but I would remove a 1/2 star if that was possible. When I opened my new box it was really but really dirty inside. I will bring something to clean it as I don't want that filth over my clothes and car. So that is one star removed....don't sell something that is not presentable. Then the procedure is odd. We are a multi-facted business. People mail us items to the person requesting the item and then the business name. I was told that I needed two ID's and a proof of residence. I gave her two ID's and not a proof of residence, although my car registration would have done that as well. She accepted no problem. BUT anyone who's name appears before our business name and or without our business name has to come in and show two ID's and proof of residence. Go figure! I wish Bernie had won the nomination! One more star removed because the requirements are truly bazaar! read more

Today I went to this post office location for the first time. I needed a location with employees that are knowledgeable about passport renewal. I was so impressed with the exceptional customer service I received from both people that helped me. I really want to acknowledge Anthony. He took my photo and helped me with the paperwork. I was a bit anxious about doing everything correctly so I would not have any issues getting a new passport. His calm and caring personality put my mind at ease right away. It is rare these days to find people that take the time to do things with pride in their work. I also spoke to another employee on the phone prior to going there. She was very helpful too! This was the best post office experience I have ever had in my life! I wish this was the post office near my home. I drove 20 minutes to go there. I live on Mt. Helix, and our address has been assigned to this post office. Since the day this happened the quality of our service has nose dived. The line in this location is ridiculously long at any time of day. I have to go in often to pick up our mail that the mailman won't deliver when a car is near our box. He will get off his truck to put notices on the cars, but not leave the mail. This is unfair to us because we don't know who's blocking our mailbox, or near our mailbox on any given day. Additionally, he has insisted that we post signs in our yards to warn people not to park there. Our block has three elderly ladies that don't even drive so when he arbitrarily comes by withholding mail he yields this power of these poor people. As if he isn't busy enough hoarding our mail, he writes question marks and circles the names on our mail if they're a slight variation of our name spelling. This location, and the staff under it's boarders needs to clean up their act. read more
