This post office completely closes from 1 to 130. I don't understand why it is so hard to stagger the employees so that at least someone is available during that time. Instead the entire thing shuts down. Newsflash, that's a lot of peoples lunch break and because you completely shut down we are unable to get to the post office before it closes. I've also had workers try to correct some of the packaging I use. I come to the post office a minimum of 2 times weekly due to an online business. I know what I'm doing, and I know the usps packaging regulations, thanks though. None of the other post offices that I regularly use have had issue with my items. And lastly, after just having left this post office I literally had to suggest to the worker that she not toss the mail directly in front of me. As I'm standing there she literally threw both of my packages into the bin. No. No. No. This post office is the worst one I've been to for these reasons. read more

This a nice small post office. I usually go to the one on Austin Dr. because it is on my way to work, but this one seems to have faster service. I come here when I have packages to send off out of state or country. This location is very clean and the postal members are very friendly. They have mail boxes and all the other services. I do not believe they have US passport service, as the one on Austin Dr. does. read more

HA~! Who knew this place even existed?? This single person ran establishment blends in to the surrounding strip style mall and is nearly out of sight for passers-by unless you are visiting one of the other stores in the area. I thought the Alpine and Julian post offices were slimly run and small - this little joint closes down so the single staff member can take their half hour lunch at 1pm. They reopen promptly at 1:30 and have a great customer service attitude. When it was my time at the counter (short and brief line) the staff member directly me quickly as to what I needed and where I was able to find it. Her directions were clear and concise and made my transaction quite smooth. I believe I have found my new local post office. read more

I have never experienced such exceptional service. Shout out to BEN for his awesome customer service that he provided me yesterday Friday the 13th. He went above and beyond while I was at work and took ownership of a situation of mine that I was stressed about over a important letter that I needed. I was suppose to receive it a week prior and didn't but His action of making sure I was taken care of and that I had what I needed that day will forever be a mark in my life and he will always be remembered when I am asked to describe excellent customer service. This post office is a complete disaster. Rude desk service...the guy complained the entire time "assisting" me, to the point to where I took my package back from him. I honestly didn't trust this individual with my valuable package, and thought he might intentionally "lose" it due to its value and his refusal to offer insurance for it. Take the extra time and go to another location, or better yet, FedEx it. I can assure you I won't be coming back to this location. read more

The post office generally gets a bad rap, so I hate posting this. People tend to see the USPS (along with the DMV) as an example of government inefficiency -- I'm not one of those people. I was a big fan of the Bukoswki novel "Post Office", which really illustrated how difficult being a cog in the USPS can be, and really made me appreciate the work these people do. As a small business owner who sends out several packages a week, I depend on the post office to facilitate some of the most important elements of my work. I regularly use several different post offices in east county depending on the area I'm in. Though this post office usually has the shortest lines I encounter, the staff here is simply awful. They always seem have the most manageable amount of customers, yet they are rude, dismissive, and not helpful at all. This is in stark contrast to the Lemon Grove post office, which by comparison is much busier, and frequently has lines reaching to the door. The Lemon Grove branch (as one example) always manages to be professional, expedient, and helpful. read more

Ariana m Garcia is the rudest person I've ever met. Apparently this angry little man thinks he knows things that aren't even true. I was going to get a Po box here. After the way he treated me I will never go to any Post office ever again. Plenty of other businesses offer the same service. So you do have to treat people decent. Also, All he cared about was leaving at 5. I arrived at 430, the minute I arrived he acted annoyed that I came so close to close. Guess what, most people work 9-5. I left work early for no reason. I, seriously, hate this location. Pretty much the only thing this location is good for is dropping off packages that already has postage paid or buying stamps. They have weird hours...long lunch and no Saturdays. I bought in an envelope to mail and they wanted me to pay $2.13! Seriously, they said that it was because it weighs less than 13 ounces. I was dumbfounded. It weighed less than a regular envelope and they wanted me to pay over $2!? I went to another branch, bought two stamps, stuck it in the box and it got to the end location just fine. They never seem to know what they're doing and it just irritates me to go in here. This is the best post office experience I've ever had! Went during lunch around 1215. There was no line and the young lady behind the counter was very helpful, pleasant and fast. I was out of there in less than a minute. I wish all post offices were like this. read more
