Usually usps workers are pretty grumpy, but this is not the case here! Came here to get my passport renewed after many years of it being expired. I was dreading it. The two gentlemen here were super nice and immediately greeted me when I walked in. You could tell they have a good relationship with the locals here and knew them by name. Had my photo taken, processed some paperwork and even made copies for me. Painless and easy! They are so personable and even gave me a sticker when I left :) they definitely made my day! read more

I needed to get my passport as soon as possible as I lost it traveling. Wow, what an amazing experience. They made it so easy for me to not only get my passport but they expedited it as well. They helped me fill out the application as I was given disinformation by another USPS and I was totally unprepared. My friend went online and booked an appointment for my daughter on a Friday and I was in by early Monday morning. The customer care was amazing. All three gentlemen that helped us were amazing. The facility was clean. Lots of parking. Their fast, friendly and efficient service was unlike any postal service I've ever experienced. As he passport process is already lengthy but these guys are professional and proficient. All three of these guys are very entertaining as well and this mad the process not seem so daunting. They keep delivering other people's mail to me. I've called them before about it and they said they'd make sure to only deliver mail to my name but that lasted maybe two weeks. They also deliver my neighbor's mail to me. I've had people trying to serve whoever keeps putting my address as theirs. This is getting ridiculous. read more

The other day I went to get my passport. I thought it was going to be very difficult but it was the opposite. I think his name was Jacob, he made the process very easy and had excellent customer service. I would highly recommend everyone to go to this location. read more

The Jamul Postal Carrier in my area AGAIN has left cardboard box deliveries 5' from the covered porch IN THE RAIN! This is unacceptable and flat out lazy! I am elderly and disabled. Just got a passport for my daughter and it only took about 10 minutes. Really fast service. Went to get daughters passport renewed and it was very fast. They worked like a racing team. One did photos while other did paperwork, in snd out. Amazing post office. They ate super friendly as well. Recommended! read more

DO NOT TRUST THEM! dropped 2 packages off in the last year and both STOLEN!! One was for Charity... how sad and now they don't answer my calls. This is so harsh when you trust the Postal Service to get your packages out at a decent and mannerly time. The weird part is my Family's mail is always at different neighbors' homes. I'm not sure why 3 out of 5 years my dmv tags never made it to my po box,and several times I was in line some of my neighbors had the same problem. This happened back in the late 90s because a carrier was reselling them, would have thought they would fix that problem read more

shout out to the Jamul post office! You guys saved my life yesterday! I can be a bit neglagent and absent minded from time to time and yesterday was no exception. Basically, I had placed some very important forms in the wrong envelope but I didn't realize I had made the mistake till after I had dropped the envelope in the drive-by mailbox, got home and saw the correct envelope on the kitchen counter. Oops. After considering all the options, I finally considered the obvious, most sensible option of calling the post office. I asked if there was any possibility of getting my envelope out of the mailbox and the person on the phone, Don, pretty much said yes. I drove back to the post office, retrieved my envelope, tore it open, threw away the envelope, placed the forms in the proper envelope, paid for my postage and left. My parents said I was really lucky and I agreed. I've lived in Jamul for a little over a decade now and I can finally say I love Jamul. Or more like, I love the postal workers at the Jamul post office. read more

I wish all post offices were this helpful and efficient! Don and the other lady working that day were incredibly informative and helpful! I came here to take care of my passport and was lucky enough to be able to score an appt here. A tip to all you who have to wait weeks and or a month to make an appointment- the further east you go and the smaller the town the more likely you are to get an appointment a lot sooner. Hands down the best post office in San Diego county! I moved from Jamul a year ago and I've been to several post offices in East county and central San Diego. This post office spoiled me! Can't get over all the long lines and ugly attitudes I've encountered elsewhere. Just shipped a package here at the Jamul location (I was back visiting family) and it was so fast and pleasant. Rick is a saint. He's been here for years and he treats everyone like family. He should teach a couse on customer relations for all the other USPS employees. read more

I love this post office. Small and friendly like a back country post office should be. It's not uncommon to hear baby chickens peeping in the back! Jamul Post Office is the best when it comes to customer service! Our local delivery person always closes our mailbox securely and I have never had a porch front package get wet or damaged. They also have a conveniently located drop box in their parking lot so you do not have to go in to drop off your mail. Thank you USPS Jamul! read more

We never receive all of our mail and always get other peoples mail, called to day to check and see if we a package was actually available for pick up b/c so many times we have been told there is a package and we get down to the post office and they can't find it, and the lady told me to call back they were to busy. WTF Another time I heard the postal delivery person pull up so went out to meet them and as I am coming out I catch them throwing the package at my back gate from the seat of the mail car. I have never had one bad experience at this post office. I've lived in Jamul my whole life so this is mostly where I ship out most of my eBay items & things that I sell online. Everyone is so so friendly, knows me by name, &always greeted with a smile. Rick has always been so helpful and I wish I can remember the other guy's names but they are ALL fantastic. I would like to thank Don and the Jamul post office for their quick response to lost contents of a Valentines card and it's contents. I just filed an incident report on-line Fri PM and received a call back Sat AM. The contents were at the post office, apparently the contents (card, $, and candy heart) had gotten displaced in the machinery. Post office will send out on Monday. Ever since amazon prime started using usps I've been very disappointed. Jamul post office will not deliver to my house and I have to drive 20 minutes each way to get my packages. Didn't use to be that way. I give them an F rating on service. Things were better when UPS delivered prime. read more
