Super nice people and very cool architecture that looks like stuck in the 60s. I like when the old post offices remain old and active and do not adapt to modern times (at least architectonically). I am rarely in this neighborhood but needed to ship something for an eBay client and had the package for some days in my car and I just happened to be around. Very fast service, looks like it is not very busy office. As others have commented, the friendliness of the people in this office (especially the guy who looks like Pacific islander who helped me) was very welcoming. I liked the vibe. I even had conversation with someone waiting to ship something too, like in those neighborhoods where everyone knows each other.

People working here are nice, knowledgeable and friendly. It's a small neighborhood post office that doesn't seem too busy and is easy to pop in with short lines.

Updating my review to four stars. Though there was only one individual working at the counter during my visit, he was clearly trying his best to help customers as efficiently as possible while maintaining a friendly disposition. Now that the holidays are over, the queue was far shorter as well.

Love this post office and it is conveniently located down the street from my house. Every time I have gone here, there has been parking and the employees are all so helpful. Even when the line is near the door, its not that long of a wait. If you are just dropping off boxes with labels, they just take it at the front without you standing in line.

I've worked in customer service, and even on my worst days I never acted the way she does. The first time I interacted with her, she yelled across the room at me "shipping or picking up?" I said I was shipping, and she said "over here". Her tone immediately put me off. She then commented on my tattoos and asked how much money I've spent on them. Kind of a weird question - but I answered and said "a lot". Then in a very judgmental tone, she said "they're expensive". I laughed it off and then she said "I'm sorry, but they're expensive" while shaking her head. She then took the package I was mailing and carelessly threw it behind her toward the mail slot/curtain. I went back to the post office today, hoping Blanca wouldn't be the one to assist me (thankfully I was helped by another person who was very kind and efficient!). However, I saw her be rude yet again to the customer she was helping. The customer came up to the counter, set her documents down, and wasn't even able to speak before Blanca said "Are you shipping? Picking up? Certified mail? What do you wanna do?" like she just wanted to get it over with. How she hasn't been fired is beyond me. From what I can tell, there have been so many complaints about her for YEARS now. I feel so bad for the employees who have to work with her.

One of the first things they mention in the orientation is that the job position is part time, on call, and with zero guarantee of hours. No where in the job posting on Indeed.com was this mentioned (which Indeed definitely lets you designate). They wait until you schedule time off and you show up in person to let you know this fact. They said if you have a problem with this you should exit the interview now. We'll thanks for the heads up and loss of a day's wage to apply for a job that I would have skipped if I had known all the facts. Honestly I wish I could sue them if lawyers weren't so expensive. Another applicant followed after me and opted out of the application process too. The instructions for the orientation mention "do not bring children" to the interview. So that implies people might be having to get daycare to apply to this bogus job opening. This is beyond inconsiderate for people who have children and are already on limited budgets. Although this is not me, I sympathize with single parents applying for these jobs. Let's face it, if they told the truth nobody would apply to this job. This should have been described as "seasonal work with no guarantee of hours". If I lied or withheld facts on my job application, I would be disqualified (and rightfully so). Yet the same courtesy is not granted in return. USPS used to be a great organization. My grandfather worked for them and things were better back in his time. Nowadays, I can't tell the difference between them and Amazon on how they operate. Shame on you USPS.

And before anyone thinks I'm being dramatic and overly sensitive, I actually spoke about his attitude at the Tierrasanta post office and the postal workers there knew EXACTLY who I was talking about and agreed with me. So clearly this is someone who's attitude has been pretty rotten for a while and gets to get away with it because he's the manager.

Unwelcoming staff, chronic inefficiency, and frequent technical failures are the norm here. I'm sharing this particular visit because it illustrates perfectly what you can expect every time you walk through that door. I came in with the simplest possible transaction: a prepaid label, already purchased, with a QR code to scan and print. A 30 second transaction, tops. The self-service kiosk had a long line, so I made the decision to use the full-service counter instead. I waited 20 minutes. When I finally reached the teller, I showed her my QR code and was told, without a hint of apology or friendliness, that she couldn't scan QR codes and I needed to go use the self-service kiosk. The same kiosk. The one with the line. Back I went for another 20 minutes, after which my actual transaction took all of 30 seconds. So, 40 minutes, one needlessly rude employee, and a full-service desk that is apparently incapable of performing a function that an unmanned machine handles effortlessly. Par for the course here.
