Well, one again the "customer service" I have come to expect from this branch. About 8 other cars pulled up during the 5 minutes. I sat in the parking lot after I tried to get in the building. One guy had pulled his child out of a car seat and was carrying several packages. Another had what appeared to be a priority express mailer, that i'm sure was very important. My package was supposed to go out today.And there's not time enough to get to the next closest office. No note no anything. Just chains on the door inside.You can't even get into the self serve area. This post office is conveniently located in a shopping center with restaurants, a doughnut shop, chocolate shop, coffee shop, gas station and more. I've never had a problem with parking, there is usually a spot right in front. This particular post office seems big to me, it is very roomy inside. They have social distancing stickers on the floor, staff wear masks and as far as I know masks are not required for guests at the moment. I've been in here about five times and so far I haven't had to wait more than one minute in line. Staff is friendly and fast at their job. They sell the normal post office supplies as well as a shelf dedicated to cards and various items. I love this location and will continue coming back. read more

Lazy, lazy, lazy. I had a parcel delivery notice left at my house when they did not even bother to knock/ring the doorbell to see if I was there. Went to pick up the package at the post office on July 5th, only to find the post office was closed, when it was supposed to be open!! (a USPS truck driver also was waiting there outside) A bunch of other folks were waiting at the door before eventually leaving. All pissed customers. I tried to call the post office and after going through hell to reach someone, was able to reach someone, who told me he will create a ticket (which he never did) and escalate the issue why no one showed up to open the office. Not my first rodeo with USPS. Another time, I got another delivery notice to pick up a package. Went to the post office to pick it up, and they told me I would have to come back as they did not have the package yet! Yet another time, I had a delivery notice asking me to go to a different post office, located 30 minutes away... which had the wrong UPS address. I could go on and on... read more

The most friendliest, fastest, and cleanest post office I've been to. The clerks actually take their time to say hi and talk to you.

The best location. Usually not busy but I've noticed some peak hours are between 3-4pm, most especially Fridays & Saturdays.

I really love this post office and the clerks. At first I was kind of frustrated with having to wait in line everytime I walked in. Once I learned when "rush hour" occurs, I try and go during the slow periods. After dealing with the clerks at the Eastlake post office, I can honestly say that the people who work here at the Tierrasanta location are so much more helpful and friendly. This post office is a great location. The lines are never too long (except during the holidays) and the staff is very friendly. You can get in and out in a matter of minutes. The location is in a strip mall in Tierrasanta right off of 52 and Santo. The inside as well as the outside is very clean unlike many other USPS offices. This is defintely one of the better post offices. The only bad thing about this office is that it does not have a passport office, the closest one would be on Greyling off of Aero Drive. read more

This is probably my favorite US Post Office in San Diego. The staff are always friendly and willing to help. They always help me to get the most cost effective services that fit my needs. They've even helped me to fix issues that I created by mistake!! To top that off, they've even started addressing me on a first name basis. I feel so special! Don't get a post office box here! I run a small business and I have no other choice but to use a post office box. This branch is extremely poorly managed and needs a change in management! I've had a post office box for almost 20 years at 92124 (92142). A few days ago, I went into the post office to get my mail but couldn't open my box so I waited in the long line on Christmas Eve day to find out why and they said that my bill was overdue. They were holding my mail hostage until I paid the bill. I told them that they never sent me the bill and she explained that the guy in charge of sending out the bills hadn't worked there in many months so no one was able to send out the bill. I've never been overdue on paying but how could I pay a bill that they admitted that they had never sent me? About a year or so ago, I noticed that I was missing mail from my mailbox. Read my previous post about how they put my mail in a crate and didn't find it for two months, resulting in past due notices and late payments which affected my credit rating. read more

I have my PO Box at this location for over 4 years so this is my go to place for stamps and mailing. Always clean and the customer service is the best - friendly. Always willing to let you borrow a marker or even small amount of tape if needed. They also give you recommendations for mailing packages. read more

I spent hundreds of dollars on my wedding invitations, spent several hours on hand calligraphy, and spent 25% more on postage for "non-machinable" stamps. When I dropped my invitations off, I asked the clerk not once, not twice, but THREE times to hand cancel my invitations so they wouldn't get grimed up and damaged in their machines. They assured me they would and sent me on my way. Well, they did not hand cancel my invitations and they arrived with ugly black marks, streaks, and smudges all over them. The people that work here are incredibly friendly and accommodating. I have done some rather complicated international shipments on more than one occasion and I was impressed with their patience and understanding at explaining the process to me. They are much more helpful than at some other locations I've been to. My only complaints are that it's a very very slow process. There is always a line to the door, and I've been at several times throughout the day. They really need to staff the front counter better to get the line moving. As far as post offices go, I am in!!! They have an automated machine and the workers are friendly and responsive. Even when there is a line for other services the line moves quickly. The only concern is that a woman here sold me a bundle of stamps about a month before new prices when up...I didn't know about that at the time and felt it was a bit shady but won't hold it against them because I am sure that is what they are instructed to do. read more

This is the best post office and staff ever! I have to take packages to the post office every day. Rodney is the manager and I think he should get a 1,000% raise...so nice and helpful. He has even come out to the car to help me bring my packages in. Even when the line is going out the door he has a smile on his face. The ladies there are so nice and cheerful and helpful. I have another post office ten miles closer to my house but the staff there is so grumpy that I choose to drive the 10 miles to give my business to a staff that enjoys their jobs. I have mailed many packages out of this location. They are slow, so you must have time. They don't go the extra mile, so don't expect it. Another note: Get insurance on your package. They lost $150 worth of textbooks and mailed me back the shipping lable. It's been two months now, and nothing. I'm over it, but wanted to warn others that insurance is worth it out of this location as you never know if it will make it to the destination. Horrible. I came here to pick up a package and there were 10 people in front if me. I waited a good 20 minutes before the customer service person at the counter finished with his customers. It was not his fault because the couple at the counter couldn't get their act together and fumbled through paperwork and asked several idiotic questions. Rather, it was what the other employees were doing. There were at least 2 other service personnel that could have been able to help all of us waiting in line, but they went about checking the mail bins without any sense of urgency and disappeared into the back room doing who knows what. It was irritating because a few minutes after one employee went around checking the bins, the other went around checking the SAME bins. Seriously? It took a good 30-40 minutes to get through a line where I only had to pick something up. Now I understand why UPS, FEDEX and other delivery companies are making profits and the USPS is consistently losing money on the order of $20 billion a year. Bureaucracy and inefficiency. I'll never voluntarily use the post office to send packages if I can help it. I'll spend my money at UPS or FEDEX from now on. read more
