Going to the post office is always a dreaded task. The post office is always understaffed for the number of customers that walk through the front door. Just prepare yourself to wait for a while as there is always a line, and everybody has tons of questions. If you can, try to use the self-kiosk if you just need to mail something or get stamps-- you will save yourself a lot of time. Remember if you are mail a package-- make sure you bring your own tape or tape it up in advance. The post office no longer provides tape. Also bring a pen with you in case you need one. read more

This review is more for the post office in Simi and not the person who helped me. She was nice but their polices are absurd. I had a package and needed a sliver of tape to seal it. She told me I had to buy a whole role for $3.99. This is the SECOND time they did this to me. I get it's not her fault but this is clearly a "nickel and dime" policy and while I can easily pay it, it's the principle as to how poorly run the post office is and why they are always bankrupt. This is the 2nd Sunday my Amazon Delivery was not delivered due to a lie... 2nd Sunday where they say "10:08am Your action required USPS tried to deliver your package USPS couldn't get to the front door, mailbox, or driveway, so please look for a note from them or contact them for the next steps. This is the worst post office. Understaffed by that I mean 1 person at the counter and lines out the door . I had about 20 packages to be scanned so I went around back. The angry woman in back was busy throwing packages, and refused to scan ours . She was super rude and disrespectful and said she wouldn't . The guy that used to work there would scan them for us . This review is for the post office located on 21200 Oxnard St, Woodland Hills, CA 91367. It is relatively new, so location does not come up on YELP. If I could give this a zero rating, I would. Well, the office is fine, but one of the employees is terrible. Didn't get his name, but he is a portly older guy, with a white beard, and earring in his left ear. Came in because there was a ballot in our mailbox that belonged to the previous tenant in our apt. There is so much mis-information about ballots that I felt it was my duty to return the ballot to the post office. My mistake! I truly didn't know if I should've put it back in the outgoing mail with a return to sender note written on the envelope. I tried that before and it ended up back in my box. Anyhow, the guy at the PO, was patronizing and unhelpful. Basically all attitude. I came in with feeling good, hoping I could learn something. I left with the overriding need to call this employee out. Mind you, I wasn't expecting a fix-all, but maybe just give me my best options. His continually shrugging his shoulders was extremely helpful. My bad.. I won't make that mistake again. I know recently there has been a lot of negative talk about the postal service, so guys like earring santa don't make me to confidant about, not only the ballot process, but day to day stuff as well. After waiting in line for about 20 minutes, I reached the counter the representative was not friendly she didn't reach for my item, I had to place on her desk, she told me I had to seal my package completely and offered no help, all I needed was small piece of tape. The mail carrier will not leave packages for me. They leave a note saying there's no place to deliver. I work from home and wish my packages would just come to me, as I work the same hours as they are open so I've got to miss work every single time I get a delivery. I waited all Saturday for a package with signed delivery that cost $43 for overnight shipping. When the mailman finally came at 6:00pm he didn't have my package. When I told him I'd paid and waited all day to sign for it, the mailman said they are overworked and can't get the prepaid delivery package to me that day/night even if they do find it. In this office you do not get what you pay for. I would suggest to use another, better delivery service. read more

The postman that delivers mail to 1690 Yosemite Ave., Sage creek Apartement's has stated that he had talked to me before, indicating to me that my mail box was damaged and that he will no longer be able to deliver my mail until the problem was fixed, by sage creek Apartement. He was extremely rude to me and said he told me a month ago that I need to fix my box or not receive mail. Funny thing is that I have never had a conversation with this man in my life but he insisted that I had within the past month which was not the case. I went to the Simi Valley Galena location today. There was a line of about 10 people. There were no Priority bags or Priority boxes in the appropriate slots in the office, so I stood up near the counter and waited for an employee to finish with her current client. When she was done, I asked if they were out of Priority bags/boxes or if they had some to restock in the back? Traci ignored me and took her next client. I figured she hadn't heard me, so I waited again until she finished with her second client. Again, I politely asked "excuse me," and repeated my question. She replied, "Do you see this line behind you? You're cutting them all. If you have a question for me, wait at the back of the line." Gosh, I wasn't aware I needed to wait in line to ask a quick question. I wasn't holding anyone up, as it was while the next client was walking over. Not only that, but the Priority station should be kept stocked, clients shouldn't have to wait in line to get a box in order to wait in line again to ship the box. Unacceptable. I finally finished my transaction with Caren and she was lovely. She always is, I am assisted by her often. She has a great attitude and is a pleasure, always. read more

Four stars for the service. There's always a line here. Especially during the holiday season. The postal workers are always so quick and efficient, answering all questions etc. They're even apologetic about the long wait. The only things not to like, the outside mail containers are locked during non-business hours, but I understand this cause Simi has a bad! mail theft problem. And, parking here is a real nightmare. I negate this by always parking under the fwy underpass, 20min parking ftw, or at Mickey D's, or nearby to the strawberry truck. read more

Yesterday my mail carrier attempted to deliver a very important piece of mail where a signature was required. Since nobody was home at the time, I wasn't able to receive the package and a note was left in my mailbox. I drove to the post office on Galena St. the next day looking for my package, but unfortunately it couldn't be located. I went back home and waited for my mail carrier to arrive, but he told me he didn't have the package and had no idea where it was. At about 5pm I called the Galena St. Post Office and spoke to Katherine. She was extremely professional and courteous, and she assured me she would do everything in her power to locate my package and call me once she did. True to her word, Katherine phoned me at 7:30 pm and said she found it! I was extremely impressed by Katherine's outstanding customer service and her willingness to go the "extra mile" with locating my package. The Galena branch of the US Post Office is extremely lucky to have someone of Katherine's caliber working for them! Thank you! read more

Galena post office has lost 2 packages in 1 month. No one ever seems to know what is happening to the packages. I have lived here for 44 years and have never had so much trouble getting my mail. BTW my regular carrier was off both days this has happened. read more

Not a big fan of any Post Office, and I normally wouldn't Yelp about one. This visit however, had me so upset I just have to let it out! I walked in on a Saturday and got in line. There were 3 counters open with 3 workers working them. One customer at each counter and one in line in front of me. So, 4 customers and then me, to set the scene. After standing in line for a minute, the lady clerk looks directly at me and says, "We're closed." I look around and behind me, then realize that she's talking to ME! What?!?! I walked right in, got in line, stood there and now you're telling me you're closed, I thought?!? Why is there not a "Closed" sign up or a roped off lobby area, or the gate pulled half way down? Are you kidding me?! I looked at her and questioned, "You're closed?" in a confused yet shocked manner. She said, "Yes, we close at 3. I didn't have my phone with me so I couldn't confirm the time and all this just took me by surprise, so I stormed out of there completely pissed.
