This company makes great products but their customer service is lacking. They don't follow up , you have to chase them to get your work done. Maybe because I am a small business and my orders are on the smaller side I've been tossed aside. I've tried them 3 different times for printing and my experiences have been disappointing. I like to give business more then 1 try because I understand we are not always on our game and as a business owner myself I understand thing happen but I will not be using them again. read more

I needed a small 12x18 sign for my fishing reel service but I didn't want to spend a lot of money. I first went to a nationally advertised sign shop and told them what I wanted. The best they could do was a sign made out of a plastic cardboard material (not very durable) for $125. I then went to City Printing and Graphics, where I met Laura and Sally. After explaining what I needed, I could tell that I was in the right place. Both were very friendly and professional, and seemed to genuinely appreciate my business and care about my project. Within a few moments, I ordered my sign, made out of metal, for $45. They also promised to have it ready by the end of the week. Today is Friday and I have my sign. In these days of poor service and poor quality, Laura and Sally are a refreshing change and it was truly a pleasure working with them. read more

It pains me to leave a review like this for a mom and pop location, but I have to do it. I know that city printing and graphics probably specializes in large order printing and binding, but I thought they would have been willing to help me. I came in with a book that I use frequently for my college courses and research that is falling apart. It's an older book but it's so valuable and out of print to a person like myself that I was terrified to try and use it any longer. I walked in on a Friday about an hour before closing time and asked if they could put a plastic binding on the book so it wouldn't fall apart. There was an older woman, a man and a younger woman sitting behind the counter. The woman looked at the book and said that outside of putting a plastic spiral binding on the book there was nothing she could do. She She handed it back to me and I explained I used it often but that I wouldn't be able to get another copy because its out of print. The young woman behind the counter asked what it was and the woman said "Old book." The way she said it made me think that she's seen this type of thing before and that she would rather just not put a spiral binding on it. She also said I could glue the book back together, but I pointed out that I had already used tape and that wasn't working. The younger lady then said "Ebay....." in a condescending kind of way and then snickered. At this point it was clear that I wasn't going to find any help here, so I excused myself and left. Being told that you aren't willing to help a customer for a small sale is one thing, laughing at a customer is another. I won't be back. I went to Staples because I had no other options and it really hurt my heart, but Staples was extremely friendly, helpful, and had my order done in two days. They say they do this all the time, especially with a used bookstore right next door to them. I know where I'll be going next time I need printing supplies, and unfortunately, it's not back to city printing. read more

Wow, these folks saved me this week. I needed wedding invitations and cards printed from camera-ready (I THOUGHT!) masters made for me by a third party. Unfortunately, circumstances beyond my control had put me far behind schedule. I had only 2 days to get the cards printed and I was having trouble accessing the computer files sent to me. I needed only 40 cards front and back and 40 reply cards, but none of us could find the files on my computer or flash drive. With all these strikes against this project, I already knew that from a printer's point of view, this was NOT an appealing job! Another print shop had already told me that no one locally does wedding invitations anymore and yet another shop had quoted a 100-copy minimum for a 100-copy price with an 8-day turnaround. So by the time I arrived at City Printing, I was already in an advancing state of panic. Sally, David and Laura could have said, "Sorry," like the others, but they didn't. They were kind, respectful, encouraging and efficient throughout the process . Two days after my initial visit, I walked out of City's office with the completed invitations and reply cards. They're beautiful! And the bill was lower than I had expected it to be, especially considering that I was quite a nuisance to them. Thank you, thank you!! I met Sally at a charity event. That should have told me the future... She is smart, funny, intelligent, and just plain pleasant. After about three years of saying 'hello' at the charity, I found out that she has a print shop. Great, I had a print shop too, years ago. What a difficult business! I quit after four years, she's been growing her business. I needed a banner. Sally helped me work out the graphic, lay in some text and gave me honest, helpful feedback. We made a beautiful piece that I'm now proud to reuse at every trade show! She gave me a tour of the shop too. Great machines; printing, binding, stamping, and everything else - all in full color. Today a friend of mine was leaving California for Minnesota. I wanted to gift him a T-shirt with my face printed on it, as a funny gift. He was leaving at 12 and I called this shop around 10.30. Despite my lack of organization, Sally has been very professional and fast, and she did the t-shirt (exactly as I imagined it) in just 30 minutes. The quality of the end product was very subpar to the example I brought them. Unfortunately I won't use them again. Sure maybe Sally is working in the front and there's a man in the back doing the printing, but there is no weird tension. I work for a plumbing company and we've been using City Printing for years. (I've been at my job for 12 years and I'm sure my boss has been using them even longer) I have never had any problems with them. Their prices are always fair. I love the ease of communication with them. I would recommend them to anyone. To each their own, and if you like paying high prices to get your stuff printed at a big chain, well good for you! But in all seriousness, there really is nothing negative that I can say about City Printing. read more

I have come to city printing a couple of times just to get high quality copies made of some art. Even though they usually do larger projects they are always happy to help me. Recently I came in on a day they seemed to be very busy. I let them know what I needed and that I had a tight schedule (I didn't get off work until well after they closed). They assured me that the job would get done and to come by after I got off work to pick up my copies. I love how friendly and willing to help they are.
