Closing your location 15-20 mins early and giving the customers a "sorry for the inconvenience" is ridiculous when it's a consistency. I've been turned away multiple times BEFORE closing hours because there is only one person working at a time and an incompetent mailman who drags his feet. Worst location in Ventura County. read more

I am not sure if I came at bad time but during my last visit to ship a package and buy some stamps there was a long line that was barely moving. Also the person working the register seemed like they were having a rough day but in this case they should provide some extra help to move the line. read more

It's a good post office, hardly anyone was in there before lunch on a Friday. I don't think this one gets a lot of foot traffic either way. You do need to walk to it, a good 200 hundred feet or so from the parking lot. It's kind of tricky if you've never been here before. You have to walk down the long corridor, and through the open area by the fountain to get to it. read more

I love coming to this post office. Sometimes the lines are long (especially at lunch time and about 5PM on weekdays), but the staff makes up for the wait. They are always friendly and helpful. This branch office is small, and does not have a lot of self-service options. They do offer PO Boxes and have a limited selection of specialty boxes, envelopes and packing accessories. I've had bad service at some of the other local post offices, and try to come to this one whenever possible! read more

Whenever i want something to differently be there or date stamped, i use this post office. You may need to stand in line (15 min longest wait to date) but worth the wait. I have found for anything to be delivered in California, it will usually be thereby the next day, with no extra charge. Employees are knowledgeable and helpful. What more could you ask for. Located inside Janss Mall. It's a small post office that offers PO Boxes & mailing supplies. There's no "self service" here so everything must be bought at the service counter. CUSTOMER SERVICE There's usually 1 person who works at all times, even though there's a long line. But staff is usually friendly but very slow. They should have more staff to help customers when there's more than 3 people in line. I still come here because it's more convenient than the main post office on TO Blvd. PARKING Since this is located inside a mini mall, plenty of free parking and we'll lit at night. read more

Horrible customer service. The man working told me there was absolutely no way I could ship perfume through USPS, I would have to use an alternative carrier like UPS even though the company told me to ship via USPS. I couldn't Google or argue as I had my toddler with me but I called the main USPS office and found I could in fact ship it, just via ground and not air. This man gave me false information bc he was lazy and didn't want to go the extra mile to help me. read more

I'm a millennial who has no idea how mailing packages works. All of the employees at this post office are so incredibly kind, helpful, & knowledgeable. I will always go here from now on. I'm also a nurse and have to say I love their covid safety. There is hand sanitizer outside and distance markers on the floor. read more

I AM SO MAD RIGHT NOW WRITING THE REVIEW. I give one star (I wish I could do 0 star) only because of that Indian guy working in the office. (I will find out his name instead of using "Indian guy" next time) Inefficient, slow, confusing and helpless. I work nearby. because of my business, I need to mail out stuff pretty often. Every single time, this person asks me a lot unrelated questions and gives me many unnecessary and confusing suggestions. Because I have been so many post offices, and I have been even took care by other staff working in the same office, he is the only one who is very slow. He can spend 10 minutes trying to switch mail box as you have already sealed. Today, I went to the post office as usual. trying to figure out how to change recipient's name on a box that I have sent out. He didn't know how. I asked him if he knew someone may know it. He wrote me a number, saying that's his manager's number. When I called and explained everything, the person on the other side ask me "what is it going to do with the post office in newbury park?" I was so confused, because I thought it was that Indian Guy's supervisor. Such a joke! If you can't help, don't waste other people's time. Absolutely and without a doubt the worst post office in the history of post offices. I tell the 2 ladies I'm here to pick up a package for my wife. They said they didn't have my packages and had me driving to other post offices looking for them.Just to find out they actually had them. Their response was well you don't look like a Susan so we didn't give it to you. I tell the Asian lady at the counter who barely speaks any English , no wonder everyone hates the post office and doesn't use it anymore. She said fine go use UPS then! I am a local small business owner who, unlike some, still relies on the USPS. This Post Office location has been indispensable to me since its inception. For the most part, there is longevity with employees at this location which makes for friendly service. I have learned when it is hit or miss with regard to wait lines. But the complaints I have read are not always the fault of the staff, all of them I have found to be pleasant and knowledgeable. Of course it gets frustrating when, waiting in line, a window closes. No private business could probably succeed that way But, they are under governmental regulation as to when they must take breaks, shut down to sort mail/packages, cut-off times to close, etc. All-in-all, I am grateful to have this little post office here, and have been extremely satisfied with their service. read more

I have mixed feelings about this post office lol. I went here last week for my first time and waited in line, surprisingly it wasn't as busy as most postal stores that I have been to. I got there 30 min or so before closing and at first the lady seemed somewhat nice but also pushy. I just felt like she was rushing me and everyone just so she can hurry up and get out of there. I understand you want to go home but you aren't closed just yet and there was literally only two people behind me. You shouldn't make your customers feel like you are pushing them out. It's not like I was taking long either, I just had a question about opening a p.o box and had a few packages to send out. She also sent me to the side to just add an address and told me to come right back up and she would help me, well I did just that and I waited on the side. She noticed me but continued taking people from the line. I've never had that happen to me before, usually they don't make you wait if you have waited in line already. Anyways, again...she wasn't super mean or anything just pushy. This office is at the mall so there is a pretty nice size parking structure to park in but you just have to walk a tiny bit in to get to it. So if you have a ton of heavy stuff to send out, I would suggest you bring help or something to roll it in. :) read more

I give this 3 stars because the staff if very nice and efficient. The problem is that there is usually only 1 teller working at a time. It does not seem to matter what time (and believe me, I've tried all times of day) I go, but there is always quite a long line. What this place needs is a machine at the front, so you can mail your own packages. There is a box for packages, but no do-it-youself machine. Most other post offices have one and it makes going a lot less painful. read more

I ran in here frantically to purchase stamps for my wedding invitations and even though I just made it at closing time, they didnt hesitate to help me. The woman working here was sweet and helpful and didnt mind it if I did happen to run in just as they were about to close. Or at least she didnt seem to mind! Thank you! read more

I called three times and I was hung up on all three times for this location... Very frustrating! They made a delivery to my home while I WAS HOME and didn't knock and just left a slip. I thought I heard someone walking away so I opened my door to check and only found the slip of paper. When I entered in the information online to see when it would be redelivered it said the number THEY LEFT ME was invalid... Very frustrating! Ugh! read more

I recently got a PO box here, and I am okay with my packages only being available during opening hours. I really think that at times asking questions in important. Especially when you don't know the answer. Every time I ask a question I observe the person behind the counter laughing at me. I also feel like there isn't a lot of training, and coaching newer employees on how to handle situations. I have observed countless times where a more seasoned employee tells the newer employee to stop what they're doing and let them handle the situation. I just wish I wasn't laughed at every time I ask a question, and I wasn't left feeling stupid walking away from asking questions every time I go into this post office. The laughing might just be a normal thing, but I perceive it as I'm being laughed at for asking a stupid question. In the future I'm just going to have things shipped to my home address to avoid feeling stupid every time I come into this post office. I also won't be renewing my PO box when the rental period is up. I thought it was a great convenience in the beginning, but now it's just turned into an enormous headache. Laughing at customers who have questions, who have been laughed at repeatedly just creates a snowball effect of negative experiences. I even feel uncomfortable writing this review because I am afraid of being treated even worse after this, but I just have experienced this every time I ask a question.
