Meh, it's kinda delicate to write a review on a place that delivers your very much important mail. I find it wise to choose words carefully in reviewing this place. This place is "A-OK." I get the majority of my mail just perfectly. Sometimes however, I have to go hunt for a package which is not cool. I'm sure any person (even a Postal Service employee) who would have to hunt for their own package(s) would hate to do this. There have been a handful of occasions where I had to actually hunt down a box that had been supposedly delivered. All I really ask for is a bit more of attention to detail when delivering my boxes as well as a better attempt at leaving a slip. 99% of the time, the delivery service(s) is on-point so to speak, but the other 1% (where foul-ups happen) inconveniences me to the point of borderline insanity. Random scenario based on true events: Earlier in the week, I received a package that belonged to somebody else. My package had to be hunted for. Upon researching the details of the tracking number, I found that supposedly a notice had been left. This notice was nowhere to be found. I had to track the package down at my leasing office, who had no record of it being delivered. My last resort of finding the package was by going to the post office, who just so happened to have the package. All this tracking and hunting down for a box that should have simply ended in my mailbox. On their defense, the sender of the box DID incorrectly write my address on the box. Again however, where was that slip?? Minus 1 star for occasional package mis-deliveries/foul-ups. Minus 1 star for not having enough employees manning the service counter -- fight unemployment rates and hire more people!! read more

Made an appt to renew passports and "Don" so rude almost abusive..."we don't do passports in Dec, why do you come today too busy, mail it in, yelling etc etc etc!" Got supervisor and said same thing! Mind you we had a 1/2 hr appt--so if USPS does not want appts in December should say so when you make the appt! read more

I waited in line for 30 minutes with two packages today and the phone barcode labels from a store. Labels are for USPS and say no need to print just shoe up with code. I show up, wait in line for a half hour to he told sorry we don't print the labels for you! Then why do you have these codes. She literally says maybe UPS. Ugh yeah you know what I will be using UPS from now on. It's a shocker you guys are basically bankrupt. Terrible service. read more

I've been going to this post office for the past 6 years and they can always find a way to provide 5 star service! I recently had a package misdelivered, called them and the ladies answered the phone were friendly, helpful and efficient. By the end of the day my package was found. I have been calling this place and they are letting the phone ring then they pick it up then hang up. When I go inside, I see them doing this to their phone as well. Please get them extra help or customer service training. read more

This is only the 3rd review I have ever posted. I don't like complainers. However, this needs to be addressed. I was inside the post office 4-23-2020 in Oceanside and most if not all the customers and postal workers were wearing masks. I too wore a mask and gloves. I care about my family and others. We are being told that wearing masks are not for our own benefit but for our neighbors. Actually there may be some truth in that. SOOOOOOOO, Low and behold there is a worker with a clipboard and no mask or gloves standing side by side with a postal worker speaking to a customer. I asked the worker who she would be, he said a manager. WHAT! Now that is a SAD example to everyone there. Not to mention, I told him that she was putting everyone of her workers and customers in danger and of course he did not answer, nor did I expect him to answer because clearly she has no regard for others and he probably did not want to lose his much appreciated and needed job. My local USPS for over three years. I've never had a bad experience. Everyone on staff is super friendly and professional. I've watched the manager berated by a crazy old woman for 25 minutes trying to exchange stamps for something and causing a big ruckus. Manager never lost her cool. read more

Mail man leave mail box open and left On Sunday 7/1/2018 at 7:15AM. I went to work at my business 125 Old Grove Rd and was in shocked to see our business mail box for all tenants leave open by the mail man. This mail man for this route was either absent minded while working or did not pay attention to his work, leave the mail box for all tenants and left the area. This is NOT the first time things happen like this, mails had been mixed up from one tenant to another. This is UNACCEPTABLE. read more

Quick and easy not to mention convenient. I don't normally mail anything out but this place made it quick and easy. I didn't even have to go and talk to anyone. They have a better easy to use automated machine right at the front door, I just punched a few buttons and paid the stamp fee. Boom, I was out the door in no time. Very impressed with this USPS office!!! Literally it took under a minute in and out the door. The interior is nice and clean, which is different from other USPS offices I've been to. When I first walked in with my prepaid package, the man instantly knew that all I needed was a receipt so he did that all for me within a second! Probably my favorite post office experience! read more

The line is usually pretty long but other than that all of the employees are very friendly and do their best to keep the process as quick as possible read more

Don who works the floor & passport desk is extremely knowledgeable, courteous, funny, & has been very helpful throughout the years. As well, Calvin, Kat, Eddie, & Ramona are top notch. I highly recommend this post office for all your shipping needs. A very positive experience. 5 Stars! Update: I am very impressed with the professionalism of the workers at this post post office. Have gone out of there way to help me out even when the issue was not associated with their post office. The supervisor was not helpful and told me they don't keep letters of complaint or do anything to the mail carriers who selectively do not deliver my mail. Some letters/bills are not delivered, important mail for pre-op instructions were not delivered, packages ordered and paid for were sent back as undeliverable even though the address was correct and we were home. This place is either illegally stealing items and money OR they have serious computer issues. First issue was when I used the automated stamp machine to weigh an envelope, buy the stamp they indicated was correct, then mail the item. They returned the small envelope for insufficient postage. HU?????? Your machine told me what stamp to buy!!!! NEXT issue: I mailed 2 prepaid packages back to amazon and neither were ever submitted to amazon. I mailed them both on the same day. came in yesterday to ship a package. extremely rude men at the desk. literally left crying. An older asian man not wearing a name tagand wearing a light blue USPS shirt, I'm assuming he was in management, was especially the culprit. I asked to buy a shipping label for a business and he waved me off into the self service line and told me "we don't do that here" when I had just stood in a 30 minute line watching him print them for multiple people. i purposely didnt go to self service because i wanted to make sure this specific package got into the right hands and the label was done right per the customers request. ok. so i go to self service. two older people are using them and one says the card reader isn't working, the other says the receipt machine is out of paper. they're both down. perfect. so i put myself back at the end of the now 45 minute line and the man at the desk points to me and starts YELLING for me to come up to him, because again, the line is almost out the door at this point. I tell him my shipping label still needs to be printed. He rudely waves me back to the end of the line. So I wait AGAIN :)))). This time I get the guy that looks a lot nicer but the older man buts into our conversation TALKING OVER me and says "she already tried with me tell her we don't do that here". I told him it's just a shipping label like ever single other one you've slapped on these 50 boxes I've seen in the past hour. He told me to write the name and address on the box and that's all they could do for me. I told him it was for a business and I couldn't just write all over the box, it needed to look professional. He LITERALLY made hand gestures like a clown making fun of someone and in a mocking voice said " if it's for a business then you should have all the things necessary to print a shipping label. don't come here for that". i turned to walk away after he mocked and ridiculed me in front of a line of 30 people. An hour and a half of waiting later and I still didn't get to ship my package because of how I was treated there. extremely unhelpful, rude, and literally made me question humanity. DO NOT COME HERE. DRIVE AN EXTRA COUPLE MINUTES AND FIND A DIFFERENT POST OFFICE. read more

I actually really like this post office. I've been in twice and I've been helped by the same girl, Angelica? (I might have that wrong and promise to correct it once I go in again). My first visit was to ship off a care package for my brother who's deployed & I know I'll be here a lot when my husband leaves....but anyways the service was awesome and yes ok there's lines sometimes when going into a PO but I always go when I'm not in any rush. I encourage everyone to stay FAR AWAY from this post office. All but one of the clerks I've experienced at this location are rude and lazy. The line is always incredibly long to talk to someone at the counter. Their management is awful as well. I just had a huge problem with this post office. I mailed a 12 lb. package via Parcel Select (almost $30 to ship) with tracking in early December. The package never moved past 'depart USPS sorting facility' on the tracking page for weeks. Towards the end of the month I received a "Parcel Search Request" letter in the mail from the Mail Recovery Center in Atlanta, and attached was the shipping label from my package. Apparently the package was lost/destroyed/stolen (who knows), but the label was recovered. I could fill out the form with a description of the package and return it, and they'd attempt to find it. If they couldn't, they'd send it back signed and dated and I would be able to recover my shipping charge at my local post office. Of course, they couldn't find my package, and in early February I received the form back and then took it to this USPS location on 2/13. The clerk I saw first had no clue what the form was about. I sat around for a while as he tried to figure it out. I'm a patient person (for the most part), so it wasn't a big deal. He said they had to get it verified before I could receive a refund, and his supervisor would have to do that. She would call me later that day to let me know I could come back and pick up the refund. I was a bit ticked at having to go all the way back there, but I agreed and went about my day. The day ended without a call. I went back in on 2/14 and saw the same clerk. He said he'd go grab the supervisor. She (an older lady, can't remember the name) came out and told me she couldn't get a hold of Atlanta yesterday or so far today. There was a big snowstorm then, so I figured they were closed or something. She said she'd try again later and would call me by the end of the day with an update. A week and a half went by and I had no phone call. Not even an update. I finally went back in and saw a different clerk. I said I wanted to speak to the supervisor I'd been dealing with. He asked what was going on and swore up and down that this should be a claim that needs to be filed and dealt with outside of their facility. He finally budged and went to talk to her. He came back out and said she told him that I was not eligible for a refund and that was that. No reason as to why she hadn't called in a week and a half or anything. I was not happy with that answer, and I asked him to let me speak to her directly. During this time, another employee came over and told me to ask for the postmaster if the supervisor gave me an issue. This person obviously knew I was going to have some problems. After a few minutes the supervisor came out and gave me the same story as the clerk. She rudely claimed I should have never received the Parcel Search Request form because the way I shipped it was not eligible for a refund. She also said she'd been trying to get in contact with the Recovery Center the whole time and just conveniently reached them that same day. She had no answer as to why I couldn't have received a phone call to let me know the status of everything, and she also said that I need to go through eBay or Pitney Bowes (a manufacturer of postage meters) for a refund, if I was even owed one. I asked to speak to the postmaster, and she said that wasn't possible because he was in a meeting, so I asked for his contact information. She continued to insist that I couldn't speak to him, and at the end she just told me to write down my phone number and she'd have him call me. Here we are weeks later, and I still haven't received that phone call. I've also submitted a complaint through USPS customer service multiple times, all without a response. I do a lot of shipping through USPS with my eBay business and personal shipping to family in Florida. With this big issue, plus other ones such as lots of lost mail (even with tracking), extremely late deliveries, and their absolutely awful customer service, I'm definitely going to start looking into using UPS and FedEx more often. USPS just isn't worth the huge headaches they deliver. read more

I called different days and at different times and still a busy signal. That is unacceptable and makes it inconvenient for customers. read more

Can you say Government employee? Well, although there are a few friendly clerks, most of these folks do their jobs in a somewhat miserable government office type fashion. Sad since Oceanside is such a friendly place, but about 1/2 of the workers here seem to dislike people or something. The overall attitude is, "Ok NEXT!", and we are not talking service with a smile. Thatsaid, way better than the DMV, but not a happy place. Let's privatize this so folks have to be friendly and courteous or see you later.
