Horrible! I got the cream chipped beef. I didn't ask for rye toast, but that's what I got. On top of the rye toast was a layer of hash brown potatoes, then cream sauce with a few pieces of dried beef. Dreadful! Just had breakfast at UR burger. Just terrible. We had the waffle for 8 dollars and it was cold and small. Sausage and gravy was terrible. Tasted like feet. Biscuit was hard. Cheese omelette was good the hash browns tasted like burger which means they didn't clean the grill. I didn't think this place would be my first five in my new hometown, but what a pleasant surprise this was! We went for an early dinner and had the place to ourselves for a little bit. We got drinks and my Diet Coke tasted like Pepsi despite the signage (my fellow DC friends understand). They had a beer list that had some interesting and local choices but nothing really stood out to me so I didn't get any. My order: I went big: black bean burger on a bun with lettuce, sautéed onions, pickles, avocado (add $1) and roasted mushrooms (add &1) with two sides: fries and pickle chips. I was so impressed. The black bean burger was flavorful and unique and seemed VERY fresh -- definitely not a patty. The lettuce was fresh and the mushrooms were sautéed nicely. The avocado seemed a little old/glossy but that was seriously the only demerit from this delicious burger. (A super fresh avocado would take this to the next level). Even the bun was good! It did fall apart, but that only confirmed how fresh it was (a cohesive patty usually means it came from frozen). The fries are skinny but not too thin, and double fried to get that extra crackle. Really good. And my pickle chips were also great! They were discs and the fry seemed recent and their unique charm confirmed they were handmade. I would get them again. The two sides upcharge was a little steep and I'd love the option to get "half and half" sides. My partner ordered a turkey burger on a roll with cheese, lettuce, tomato and added avocado, and fries. She said her burger was delicious and she also really enjoyed the fries. Drawbacks: my slightly customized burger and two sides increase made my meal significantly more expensive than my partner's; enough to make me reevaluate my order in the future. Maybe reevaluate the upcharges? Our service was fine; they were dead and so there was a lot of milling about and still yet I had to ask for a refill, but everyone seemed nice. We'll definitely be back to try breakfast. This feels like a business on the verge of becoming a unique chain. If they also had a beer I wanted AND added a vegan boozy milkshake or other dessert, I'd be in real danger. read more

Burger was flavorless. They didnt add any salt or pepper to the burger, onions or anything else. Never have I ate a burger that was so bland. We've been to Urburger a few times, for breakfast and dinner, and have mostly had good experiences. The food is definitely good. The service tends to be rather patchy, though, and that was definitely the case for us this evening. Friday night, long week at work, the hubby and I decide a nice easy dinner out is just the ticket. Urburger is right around the corner from home, so we paid a visit just before 8pm. There were a few people in the bar and one or two tables with diners. We sat ourselves down as directed and waited. And waited. And waited. My husband ended up getting up to get a couple of menus from the front counter, and grabbed a couple of glasses of water for us from the drink machine. And we waited some more. The waitress delivered the check to one of the other tables and I tried to catch her eye as she walked past our table, but she swept past without a glance. Another couple came in and seated themselves. Within a couple of minutes the waitress delivered menus to them and got their drink order. Again, she had to walk right by our table to get back to the bar/kitchen area. This time I caught her eye and she looked right at me. I opened my mouth to place our drink and food order (we'd had plenty of time to make our choices by then) and before I could utter a sound she continued right on past us again. Oh well, I thought. At least this time she knows we're waiting, and had been for a good 10 minutes or so before that other couple came in that she'd already visited. But no. Another couple of minutes went by. At this stage we'd been waiting for at least 15 minutes with no acknowledgement that we even existed. I stood up and made eye contact across the bar. "Can we get a drink order?" I was greeted by a blank stare, at which point my husband and I got up and left. I doubt we'll ever bother coming back. This burger is an unexpected win for the price. That, along with the super friendly and prompt service, was worthy of four stars. First, the burger. I went on a Wed and they were running a Wed only $5 burger special. Normal price runs about $8-9. I ordered the Wrangler (beef, cheddar, onion straws, BBQ sauce) with sauce on the side. The bun looks meh and pale but upon chewing, I fell in love! The bread is like a soft cloud with a crispy toasted buttery crust on the underside. The patty is a nice thickness and resembles a homemade burger with all the lumps. It has a solid beefy taste and is noticeably seasoned with salt. This burger straight up reminded me of how Fuddruckers used to taste when I was kid. Great memories. The burger altogether was delicious although it was toeing the border of too much salt (and I looove salt). So for those of you who tend to use less salt when cooking or eating, I wouldn't recommend this particular burger. But there is also a turkey patty option which I plan on trying next visit. The fries are similar to Five Guys' plain fries. Real potato and light golden brown. They taste ok when hot but get limp fast *sad face*. If you like crispy, skip these. Service was friendly and prompt. I placed a Carryout order when I arrived and waited for about ten minutes. Plenty of benches to sit on. Most importantly, my order was correct! read more

We were looking forward to trying this place for the craft beers, boozy milkshakes, and of course, trying the food too. We're always on the hunt for a new go-to beer & dins place so we tried it out: Atmosphere: It's a little austere and cold, not a cozy spot I'd like to hang out in often. I liked the bar area, but again, not particularly comfortable to warrant a long hang-out. The art on the walls in the restaurant side is pretty lame - photos of food. That, coupled with the metal tables and chairs, makes it feel a bit generic and uninviting. More like a fast food joint than a bar/restaurant. bar area is better than the restaurant tho, and has more character. We sat at the bar. Our server was friendly enough. Drinks: The beer selection was great, very local-based which is a plus for me, AND they had a buy one get one free deal, which you can't beat! BUT our server didn't even tell us about it until we were paying, otherwise we would have taken advantage of it more. The boozy milkshake (we got salted caramel with bourbon) was excellent - really tasty, not too sweet, super delicious. I'd go back just for the milkshakes! Food: Fries are great. Hubby got a baja-style cheesesteak, it was fine. Nothing amazing, he said he probably wouldn't get it again. Waterman's version is so much better than this. I ordered a (beef) burger (you can 'make your own' and choose toppings). I usually order my burgers medium-rare but I read a review where the medium was very rare, so I erred on the side of caution and ordered it just 'medium'. It arrived clearly well done. It was still juicy (and I could taste butter from the bun maybe), but not even the hint of pink on the inside. Very disappointing for a burger restaurant, all your cooks should nail this. I had eaten a quarter of it when the bartender asked how it was. I was polite and said it was tasty and juicy (both true) but that it was definitely not medium, and that it was clearly cooked to 'well done' and I showed her the inside. Her response was "do you want me to send it back?" (no agreement in seeing the evidence, no apologies). I said it was fine and I would eat it but that I wanted to let them know so the cook would know and could adjust cook times etc accordingly. She said she'd let them know. And that was that. (I got cheese, bacon, and avocado on the burger - good amounts of all of those came on the burger) Would we go back? I would definitely go back for beer, boozy milkshakes and fries. I might give the burgers another shot, perhaps a turkey burger which I would want fully cooked anyway. The flavor and juiciness were pretty good, just the cooking temp was wrong. But I'd rather get the Smoke Burger from Chad's BBQ, that one is super delicious, consistently good and always cooked perfectly. read more

Their beer selection leaves a little to be desired, if you only have 8-10 taps, you really shouldn't have multiple beers from the same brewery and they have that every time I go. The food is very good for what it is, and the portions and pricing is great. The service is friendly but they often seemed a little understaffed. I am so excited about this place! The service was great and the food is amazing!!! When it comes to burgers I'm very particular. I refuse to eat fast food burgers because to me..flame broiled or not they just don't cut it! This place definitely hits the spot! They have some amazing combinations and they also allow you to build your own! And to top it off they even have healthy options like replacing your bun for lettuce!! So even when I'm dieting I can still squeeze in a good burger!! But this review is definitely not about dieting lol! We started off with the buffalo dip which was tasty. My friend had a blackened chicken salad which was a nice portion and very delicious. I opted for the burger..the Sunrise which included a fried egg on top! It has bacon but it also has a bacon relish!! You guys who doesn't love bacon!!?? Needless to say it was a winner! I sat back down when the food arrived, enjoyed it, but got some in boxes to go because I could not enjoy the meal with those chairs killing my back!! What a delicious surprise. We were looking for somewhere fun for lunch and stopped in at URBurger. I was a little nervous because it was empty but it quickly filled up. Susan was a wonderfully friendly sweet server and we loved the burgers. The kids got milkshakes and we ended up with a really great lunch. We were trying to get a chicken sandwich from Popeye's but they'd sold out and I'm incredibly pleased they had because it made us try out UR Burger! They have a great selection of beers including some local ones from Baltimore which was a great way to start. Then, we had delicious burgers (such good value) and the brussels sprouts which are one of their best-sellers. The bartender said we should have told him that we wanted the Popeyes burger because he would have created his own better one! A great establishment with a promising future and great food. However, there are some kinks to work out. Firstly, the positives. The menu manages to be both simple and exciting at the same time. You can choose from either a selection of designer gourmet burger options, or build your own combo. A degree of flexibility that is greatly appreciated. This is further built upon by the plethora of ingredients you can choose from when building your burger. Pair this with a side and you're all set. Another option that I did not elect to go for but will at a later date is the SPIKED MILKSHAKES. Yes, you heard me right, milkshakes WITH. ALCOHOL. The options they have available sound creative, adventurous, and delicious and promise for a fun lunch/dinner. The burgers came out hot, juicy, and in a butter-toasted bun. The onion rings came out fried to perfection, but were over-seasoned with salt. Next, the negatives. The counter-staff was for the most part lacking in enthusiasm, menu knowledge, and gave off a feel of being put-upon. When we first entered we weren't greeted, and when we approached the counter we encountered an unwelcoming attitude. Maybe I'm just too used to the enthusiasm and cheer I get every time I eat at Five Guys. The dining room is Spartan, and needs some more decorations or something to make the dining room more fun. Right now all a customer experiences is a table, some chairs, and a gray and red paint-job. It felt more like a college dining hall than a restaurant. In short, the food is good. I've been to URBurger 3 times for take out. Each time I've ordered the avocado burger, medium rare with a side of fries. All cooked perfectly, fresh and delicious. Employees are friendly and helpful. If you're craving a perfect burger and fries for under $11 (and you'll probably have leftovers) do yourself a favor and give URBurger a try. read more

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by our lunch there. You can choose your own ingredients to customize your burger or order something pre-set from the menu. Don't let the previous occupant of this building keep you away, URBurger is a good place to grab a burger. I was there yesterday and was surprised at the modern, dare I say trendy, decor. And while being aesthetically pleasing is great, a nice building isn't going to keep you coming back if the burgers are bad. Good news....the burgers are actually really tasty. I got the border burger, and it was juicy, had a lot of cheese and had a good flavor. Unlike a lot of places that claim to have a spicy burger/sandwich and miss on the spice, this burger brought it. Fries were crispy and they had vinegar available, which is a plus in my book. Also at the table was the avocado burger, which was also enjoyed and had a good amount of avocado on it. Another plus? Prices were very reasonable and the staff was friendly. Ok, so there was one thing that could use some improvement. The fried onion cluster was not very tasty. The batter was odd, and there really was no onion flavor at all, as it was overpowered by the coating. We asked for ranch because there was no dipping sauce provided, and it just seems like I've been trained by other restaurants that fried onions need a sauce. So I'll be back.
