I didn't expect to encounter art during my trip this weekend, but I did. I have never had a better burger than I just had tonight. I had just finished teaching a class, was exhausted, and stumbled into this place - little did I know that I was about to encounter magic. Got the southwest (pico, pepper jack etc) burger and it was the most beautiful piece of meat I have ever laid my eyes on. But the magic didn't end there, I took it to go and I really didn't even need to because I gobbled it down in less than 2 minutes. I swear I was licking my fingers for about five minutes and foraging around in the to-go-box hoping for escaped morsels of joy. Then came fries and I don't know when the last time I've eaten out and gotten a lot of fries with my meal has been, but this (and they had to put it into a second box) bounty was overflowing with precious golden fries. The pulled chicken had great flavor and the sauce was delicious! My issue is that i found multiple sharp bones in the chicken where there should be no bones. We ate our food in the car and as soon as we got home I threw up. A few hours have passed and my husband just got finished throwing up. Came upon this place randomly while driving around looking for places to eat. The place is very spacious and even has a bars. The bartender brought my menu and I decided on what I wanted to get. There were many different types of burgers as well as other foods that you can order. I ordered a burger with bbq sauce and crispy onion straws. Disappointed. We had heard so many good things about this place. We so wanted, and expected to love it. Myself and three close friends headed to URBurger. We seated ourselves at a high top in the bar area. We ordered a couple Bloody Marys and a mimosa. Drinks were good (but hard to screw up) and it was all down hill from there. Three of my friends ordered breakfast, but as I am not that much of a breakfast person, I ordered a fried chicken sandwich. I said, I would like the Fried Chicken Sandwich, Nashville Hot. The server responded with "it's HOT". To which I replied, I would hope so with that name. My friends all ordered breakfast foods. When food came out, it was less that stellar. I took a bite of my Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and I was like, where's the heat? It tasted like a little chicken patty with syrup on it. No spice whatsoever. My friends breakfasts were also disappointing. They all got hash browns which were not good. One even stated that her has browns didn't taste right. The others were disappointed that the hash brown had hard potatoes on the inside. Not cooked through. I had finished my Bloody Mary and noticed they had an interesting array of beers on tap.I asked the rude server what can you tell me about the Campfire Stout (I love stouts) to which she replied, it's disgusting. I am sitting here at this restaurant and I am so disappointed. This is my third time visiting this establishment and I have never had such terrible service. My husband and I came here after church and as we walked in, the waitress told us to not seat ourselves. There was only one table with 8 seats. Luckily for us, there was a wonderful group of people that agreed to share a table with us. We placed our order and I specifically asked the waitress if they had Prime Rib and she stated yes. All of the individuals placed their orders and we sat at our table having a great conversation. Then someone turned the sound up so loud that we could barely hear our conversation. One of the individuals at the table asked the waitress to please turn the volume down and could they change one of 4 TV's to either the Raven's or Redskins game. The waitress said, I'll ask then walked away and no-one change a thing. 30 minutes after we ordered, the waitress came to the table to tell my husband that they were out of Prime Rib. She also asked my husband if he would like to order something else. We decided to leave knowing that if we ordered a second time, that we would have to wait another 30 minutes to get my husbands new order. No manager came to apologize and the strangers that we shared the table with were equally offended. Specialty burger places are such the rage nowadays and competition is stiff. URburger fits in quite nicely, having one distinguishing element: it serves boozy shakes, beer and wine. Considering they do serve liquor, you would think the atmosphere would be a bit more comfortable so folks could linger with their drinks. The industrial/modern decor creates a more cold and and uninviting space. We all ordered the basic cheeseburger that came with lettuce, tomato, pickle and special sauce. Two of us added onion. We included one fry and one onion ring to our order, an oreo shake and a strawberry one sans booze. Yes it took a bit for the meals to arrive, but that's ok if you are cooking from scratch. The meat had good flavor and the patty was irregularly shaped which added a more homestyle approach. The ratio of bread, toppings, and meat was pretty close to perfect. The special sauce? Didn't really add too much. Everyone enjoyed the skinny onion rings (a bit too salty though) and the fresh cut fries. There was plenty to go around so we were happy to have only ordered one basket of each. My shake was quite good, and I appreciated the fact that it wasn't too sweet. This was my third time here, and my last. The restaurant had patrons, but not really crowded. There is one waitress and one cook. It took 25 minutes for her to come over and ask us if we wanted a drink. Fortunately, there is a beverage station for the staff, but took it upon myself to get our beverages. Orders were finally placed and it took 30 minutes to get our meals. Two of us ordered a grilled cheese and tomato soup. The soup, was piping hot, the bread was grilled but the cheese was not even close to being melted. The burger was ordered as medium and was so gray and over cooked it was horrible.
