We've been customers there for about 7 years. The staff has changed and are horrible! They are snotty and yell at you if you don't understand. The main reason we left is because they increased our lease by 50%! We have impeccable clients and never missed a payment . I think the management has changed . It's not worth it and you can hardly get their wagons to round the corners when you use them. In the winter you have to get out of your car on thick ice that they don't melt and put in your code. We happily moved and wouldn't recommend this at all! Even their restroom went down hill as far as cleanliness. This is the one in Westmont only. Not sure of the others. read more

I just received the worst customer service from RACRENA! Her attitude was horrible, I'm still in disbelief. The way she spoke to me and my former colleague is unbelievable. My former colleague was trying to smith it out, and she started yelling; have a good day sir over and over to him. She was awful......... Rose was great and doing a good job considering being new. I will never go back there as long as she works there.. Take your business somewhere else unless they get rid of her. read more

The front desk staff was very welcoming & I was treated like a family member from the minute I walked through the doors. The buildings are kept clean & tight. They definitely take pride in their facilities. A major plus for me is that they have music playing throughout the buildings to help keep a positive vibe! So happy to have found U Stor It Westmont. Great customer service never stands out more than when you are trying to make things happen on a very short timeline. After relocating to Chicago from LA, I was in a crunch to find a clean indoor storage facility for my possessions which were being shipped by a van-line company. Macrena responded to my New Year's Day inquiry that same day and reassured me that she would hold the unit I needed until I was available to come to the facility for a tour and sign the paperwork. Vanessa, her sister, was at the facility when I arrived a week later & had everything well coordinated. The buildings and my unit were clean & obviously well maintained. The area was well lit and I felt at ease with the prospect of visiting my unit alone. The access for off-loading is also both convenient and ample, and I am confident the delivery of my goods will be very smooth for the transportation company. 5 stars for responsiveness, great communication, overall customer service, a clean & well maintained facility and the ease of doing business in an abbreviated timeline. read more

Any opinions on this? On Nov 8th, my girlfriend and I visited our storage unit. She was accompanied by her service animal, Bubbles. Upon arriving at our unit, we were confronted by an unmasked employee ( there is a mask mandate in Illinois) , which i pointed out. He ignored the mask comment and told us we had to get the dog out. We told him she is a service animal, to which he replied " im gonna need to see some kind of ID or youre going to have to leave. We replied that we don't carry around the physicians reference letter and he told us we needed to leave immediately if we don't have "service dog tags" - whatever those are. She has her county / rabies tag? He then called us disgusting people , gave us a verbal 14 day eviction notice ( never in writing) and said "the police are on their way". I recorded most of this incident on video. We called the cops ourselves and sure enough, they were on the way. We explained the entire situation to them,, and they took a report from us & gave me a reference number. They told us to seek legal representation for the discrimination. Anyway, since this incident I immediately called corporate and complained . They said my account was in good standing and paid through 12/6. No note of eviction on the account. We filed a complaint with corporate on November 9th. Since then, we have never received a call or an email from anyone. Ive called 15 times to the store number and I get forwarded to a call center where they tell me (on recorded calls that I have copies of) that my account is fine and they cannot evict us. I have never received any type of email or any notice whatsoever from them. On friday I went to check on my storage unit, and my access code was disabled. The office had a sign that said "back at 230" ( this was 145pm) so I left and came back at 235. The sign then said "back at 330" so I left, got food, returned at 345. I saw that the same employee was in the office. By the time I got to the door to ask about my access code, the sign said back at 430. I also recorded this. We finally came back at 430 and the sign said "back at 530". I became frustrated and left to go pick my girlfriend up from work. Still not knowing if my property was safe, and becoming increasingly concerned that it isn't. On my way out of the neighborhood, I saw 3 police cars enter the neighborhood. I immediately called westmont PD and they told me that as I suspected, that employee had called them to report "trespassers becoming aggressive ". Told them to reference my previous report #, and they did. The officer on scene called me back and told me that they were planning on throwing out my things ( Ashes of a family member, 10s of thousands in property, etc) Monday morning, and that we were supposed to be out on 11/22 (per the employees verbal warning when he called us disgusting and ejected us for having a service animal, on video, unmasked. ) Immediately, I pointed out that this is shady as all hell. They disabled my access code, and refused to call me back for 3 weeks. Gave me no written notice whatsoever. They're playing games not answering the door or phone. How did they expect me to get my property out by the deadline they never gave me without any way of entering the building? Im going today to attempt to get my property. My access code is still disabled. They're effectively holding everything I own from me, and trying to trespass me from the property with the police and playing games with the locks. Staff is competent but kind of rude. They don't really seem to care about good customer service here.

This was a very good experience, moved from a Public storage to U Stor it. the difference was night and day. The load/unload area is in a bay with carts available, the storage area is well lit and very clean. I wish I would have made the change months ago. read more

I am in the customer service business and would not be if I treated a customer the way I was treated by a staff member (the same one that we signed up with many months ago). Customer service is the worst I ever encountered. She was nasty and acted like a bully in the time of a national crisis. As I was told "we have policies" with the girl crossing her arms and telling me in a nasty attitude as if she wanted to fight. Absolutely no reason for her behavior! Zero Stars!!! Very Poor Service, Wait I Anticipated Service and Received NONE!!! I chose this business because of its location & proximity to the 2 points of my move, the availability of needed moving equipment - 10ft box truck, the hours of operation - open Sunday until 4pm per on line advertising and stated on the door 5pm. Therefore, at 1045 am Sunday morning after noting truck availability on line made a reservation for the 10ft box truck to be picked up at 3pm, & received Confirmation of availability and reservation. However, when I arrived promptly at 3pm I discovered the facility/office locked/closed. Initially, being a storage facility, and it being Sunday, "Skelaton Crew" and all...perhaps the one person that is in the office was showing a storage unit but after 15 minutes waiting in the 30 degree cold, proved my worst fears realized...I was now "$#*&!!!!" It is now 3:27pm I have people arriving at a location between 3:45 to 4pm - which is 25 min from where I am now - to assist me with my move for which I Now have No truck!!! After, waiting the 15 minutes in the cold, I did call U-haul who made several attempts to contact the site, and site management to no avail. Eventually, via U-Haul arrangements where made for me to obtain a truck from a much further location both in time and miles...which still Did Not Compensate this TERRIBLY AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!! With All the Options Available to consumers today, I Highly Recommend Steering Clear Of U Store It And U-Haul for Any Of Your Moving And Storage needs!!!! read more
