They rent on a month by month basis but there was an option to pay for an entire year. While the website says the types of payments they accept does not include CC the manager said they can but they charge the customer the CC fee they would be charged and they let you know that up front. The price is reasonable and it was stated that it only goes up yearly. So as of now I am quite satisfied with the place and a bonus it that it is only a mile a way. The person helping us was knowledgeable and friendly which put my worries to rest for awhile. It seems to be a very secure location. My complaint was all the add-on fees plus they don't charge month to month for the unit. They charge from your arrival to the end of that month and then charge you again on the 1st. We paid for a month but will only get two weeks.

We are extremely disappointed with U-Stor-It's communication practices. When we fell behind on…read morepayments, they failed to communicate consistently or clearly about how serious the situation had become. In the past, when something truly urgent came up, they would call or at least send multiple forms of communication -- phone calls, emails, and letters -- so we knew to act immediately. This time, they switched to only email without any phone calls or clear indication that an auction was imminent. We had no idea things had escalated so far until it was too late. If you value your belongings, be aware that their communication practices are unreliable when it matters most.

The place is clean and seems secure. Unfortunately, mold has grown on most of my furniture there…read moreover the past several months while we were out of town. It started at the floor level and has crept up about 6-8" on the furniture. I sent them pictures of it and asked them to call me. They did not call. When I called them about it they said I can submit a claim to my insurance. They say they keep the humidity at 55%, but this cannot be accurate, as the mold would not grow at that level. Lately the place smells musty when you walk in, so clearly there is a problem. It did not used to smell that way before. They offered no mitigation and said they have nothing to offer me. A real disappointment.
