Given that the memories of our last visit inspired us so much, we drove down 25 minutes to Elma to visit TSG. We took a good look at the menu and ordered the 1/3rd Ribs with two meats( we took Roast Beef and Brisket), cornbread, fries and coleslaw. Of course, last time we had the brisket fries, and wanted to explore more. The food arrived promptly and it was a busy weekend. My husband started smiling in happiness when he took the first bite of the ribs. Before I came from India, I used to watch a of food shows of the world, and barbecue ribs weren't a part of my daily culinary habits. But it looked so tantalizing. I used to often think how great it might taste, if i ever had the chance to taste them. And this time, the ribs felt like that validation of that memory. It tasted just as heavenly as I had anticipated before. It transported me to that little girl in India who would often ask herself, how can ribs taste if they looked that good on tv? We did not have a reservation but were advised that although we could have made a reservation there were tables available inside on the second floor. This restaurant requires you to order at a counter, then find a table. The staff will deliver your meals and periodically check if you need anything. We thought the pricing was reasonable and the portions sizable but not excessive. I had one third of a rack of ribs with one meat (roast beef) and two sides. The ribs were slightly spiced, lean and tender. The roast beef was very tender and also lean. I was very pleased with both choices. The staff was attentive and pleasant. I had bottled water and my wife had a single sized wine serving. Her puller pork sandwich was also fantastic. We would have sat on the second floor balcony if space was available as the view over the landscape behind the restaurant was quite attractive. You cant help making a stop, when your driving down Seneca St toward East Aurora, with the heavenly smell of the BBQ aroma. Ate there this past weekend, even though their wasn't a ton of seating the food and service made up for it. Ordered the 1/2 rack of BBQ ribs, tator tots as the side and their was corn bread as well. Holy cow wow! I have driven past this place so many times on my way to Knox Farms and to East Aurora and it was finally time to stop. Their smell of amazing food draws you in as you drive down the road and carries you through the door when you park. They have a nice menu with many traditional bbq options. I had the smoked turkey with bakes beans corn bread and their excellent Mac and cheese. My dad chose here for his birthday takeout meal, and since we had a bit of a crowd, we chose a pan of their half BBQ chicken, a pan of brisket, and a side of mac and cheese. I had the chicken and some of the mac and cheese and it actually blew me away! The chicken was moist but still flavorful, and the mac and cheese was really flavorful -- I find that both of these things can end up being really bland, so I was incredibly happy that wasn't the case here. I didn't try any of the brisket, but my family reported that it was delicious. The ordering and pick-up process were both really simple and the staff were so kind. Awesome spot with indoor and outdoor seating and wonderful smoker BBQ smells the second you get out of the car. When you walk inside, you order at a counter that has a large menu above, and then you are handed a table number to place on your table so that they can find you to bring you your food. There is ample seating downstairs and upstairs as well as a patio upstairs (where we sat) and picnic tables in the backyard. We ordered the loaded fries with brisket, pulled pork sandwich (side of Mac and cheese) and the TSG wrap which was pulled pork, coleslaw and Mac and cheese all wrapped up (side of baked beans). We had a great time at this new found restaurant. The staff was so welcoming, it felt like we had been going there for years. The restaurant was sparkling clean and the food was that deep south southern bbq delicious. I'm all about the brisket and my sandwich was topped with a generous portion and I added an optional topping of creamy coleslaw, which was the perfect combo. Choice from 1 meat to the all meat sampler and get 1-2 sides and corn bread for 1 price . The meats come with dipping sauces to accompany them . I chose turkey and roast beef with Mac and cheese and sweet potato fries as my sides . The roast beef wasn't piping hot but super juicy and flavorful, same with the turkey (didn't even need any of the mustard or horseradish Mayo that accompanied it) The Mac and cheese was a bit dry and a letdown but those sweet potato fries (with some honey sauce) may be the best I've ever had . Cornbread was your standard cornbread lol. We ordered at the counter and they held a table for us outside on the upper patio and brought the food out to us once ready. The view outside on the property was gorgeous and relaxing , we stayed after eating for about 30 min to enjoy the ambiance and each other's company . Talk about a hidden gem. Just go take the ride out here. Coming off a diet my friend and I were on for the past week, we decided to celebrate with...BBQ. Nah, being my first time here, I had to order my standard - a BBQ pork sandwich! It came with two sides, one being a choice for which I went with coleslaw. My sandwich also came with this AMAZING cornbread that they put little flecks of jalapeno in - not enough to make it too spicy. I passed by here many times, and always wanted to try it. Then, I saw that it had tons of 5 star reviews and today was the day. I came here with VERY high hopes of finding Nirvana in a BBQ restaurant. You have to order at the counter, and if you don't know what you want, you can have a line of 20 people behind you in seconds. The staff was very nice and it wasn't loud in here, and we don't talk quietly, but a loud "what?" was said to us after everything we tried to order. That was annoying. I ordered the brisket and tater tots, and my partner ordered the 1/2 chicken and fries. There was a strange cinnamon flavor on absolutely everything, with turned me off immensely. I don't like to return food, but seriously could not eat sweet tater tots. Gross. I returned them and got them without the "dry rub". And now, they're just plain tater tots. Whats to say? Nothing special. The brisket was meh. It was tender enough, but the flavor just didn't do it for me. My partner said the chicken was "okay". In a word he summed it up at mediocre. He said the fries were good. The cornbread was the best part of the meal, but that won't bring us back. The seating was limited on the ground floor, and up a double flight of stairs for more seating - which I didn't want to do. Semi loud heavy metal music was, in my opinion, inappropriate. I am so glad I looked to Yelp when I was in unfamiliar restaurant territory because this place is worth every bit of 5 stars if not ten. Ribs were on point as well as brisket. They also have lunch specials and my brother ordered a sirloin tip sandwich and he loved it. Meat is super tender, bbq sauce was yummy. Mac and cheese and beans were tasty and my bro got onion rings I enjoyed(they have a slight nutmeg dusting on them). Service was great and everyone was super friendly. If u live in the area they have a reward point system and it def worth to have because you will be coming back. If there was a negative at all it's that the coleslaw had something in it that neither one of us were sure what it was. I wouldn't order it again but def want to ask what is in it next time we go. My only other advice is if you want to go get there early because the ribs are sure to sell out along with other meat as the day goes on. This place is one of the best bbq places I've been to in my entire life. This is without a doubt the best bbq near Buffalo. I've had some great bbq in Texas, and this restaurant lives up to those standards. The ribs were literally the best I've ever had in my life. So tender with the perfect smoke and some spicy sweetness from the bbq sauce. Pulled pork was also one of the best I've ever had. So tender and juicy, with the perfect amount of fatty pieces incorporated. The brisket was also excellent! The spice rub and smoke on the brisket was outstanding. I will say I wish it was a little more tender, but would still order it every single time. Now onto the sides: the Mac and cheese was fantastic and had a good garlicky flavor to it. The coleslaw was a good standard coleslaw. The tater tots were amazing and were coated in a nice spice rub. The cornbread, unfortunately, was pretty dry and not my favorite. All of the sauces were perfect as well and complemented the meats very well. My favorites were the spicy BBQ and the mustard sauce. We spoke to the owner for about 10 minutes while he was out smoking the meats, and he gave us the story of how the restaurant started and the process of smoking the meats.
