Nachos dinner at Ebenezer Ale House across the parking lot from the Rusty Nickel Brewery. Probably the biggest happy hour plate of nachos I've ever seen. Since its opening in 2011, the Ebenezer Ale House has quickly become not only one of the best restaurants in West Seneca, but also the authority on craft beer in the Buffalo region. Owner Nate Springer has worked tirelessly to create a destination that all can enjoy. The Ebenezer Ale House features the perfect marriage of a mouth-watering menu and one of the best craft beer selections in Western New York. With everything from bronzed, bacon wrapped shrimp to delicious specialty pizzas, their menu is broad enough for everyone to find something they can enjoy. The beer is always flowing with 24 constantly-rotated taps including many hard-to-find flavors. Alongside many other countless bottles of craft beer and plenty of special events, the Ebenezer Ale House is the premier craft beer connoisseur in all of Western New York.

I'm extremely dissatisfied with my experience. My friend and I visited on Thursday night, and while the service was great, the food was disappointing. We ordered nachos, but the chicken was unappetizing and had a grayish hue. We could not eat it and ended up with stomach aches. I also ordered a roast beef sandwich, but I felt off from the nachos and decided to box it up. The next day when I went to take a bite, I noticed what looked like blood on the sandwich. I reached out via email and Instagram but never received a response. I'm very upset and won't be returning. The atmosphere was fine and there was a ton of people in there, but I would never eat there again unfortunately.

French onion soup 10/10 Probably one of the best soups I've had in Buffalo. The broth flavor was fantastic. I can also tell they toasted the bread before putting it in, the edges had a tiny bit of crunch left to it. Onions were cooked down perfectly. And the cheese was amazing. Sausage platter 9/10 Chorizo- great flavor and spices. Bratwurst - fantastic. great snap to the casing. Cook, flavor and smokiness was great too Andouille - good flavor. Spicy. Queso dip - not a huge fan really. Creole sauce - good flavor. Like a warm and southern seasoned salsa German mustard Crostinis

We have eaten here a few times now and have enjoyed everything we had. This was the first time I had their chicken fingers and liked that they were actually house made! My wife tends to the same salad, every time it's a little different but it's a great salad!

I've been coming to Ebenezer's for the past ....lets just say, it's been a long time. Going further, I honesty can say I've never had a bad experience here. Well, let me take that back. I had to use the bathroom and the cleaning lady was taking forever. LOL Any way, I love the ambience, the crowd, the food and, the bloody Mary's are on point! There's always a good beer selection for the beer geeks. I also love, love, love they allow dogs on the patio especially because I take my Boonsri everywhere with me. I'm a pescatarian and they have a lot of options and for vegetarians. The owners are very personable and always are here to make sure you are satisfied with your experience. In my opinion, come to Ebs! You won't be disappointed!!

Lunch time review, Restaurant was very clean and we were immediately seated upon entering. Waitress was very friendly and attentive through the visit and had our drink and food order in just a few minutes. I ordered a single wing, and opted for the wet Cajun and I was not disappointed. Very meaty and crispy the only negative was I wish there was a little more bleu cheese. That little baby cup definitely was enough for 3 wings, but with that much meat and celery a little more would have been appreciated.

I've been here so many times, I can't believe I've never reviewed it before. It was a beautiful fall day, but the outdoor deck was so busy we opted for a calmer atmosphere and sat indoors. Service was a tad slow, but we're getting used to that everywhere we go, what with bars and restaurants all having staffing issues. I was tempted to order the Green House sandwich: grilled zucchini, roasted red peppers and red onions, baby spinach, pesto mayo. Sounds delicious, but I can never resist shrimp tacos. They were pretty good, It was unusual to find green bell pepper on a shrimp taco, but I didn't mind it at all. My friend ordered The Betty: a monstrous construction of roasted turkey, bacon, cheddar, lettuce, tomato and mayo on toasted sourdough. Rave review for this one. Good selection of beer, wine and specialty cocktails. Prices in line with other comparable taverns. This has always been one of our go-to lunch spots, since it's conveniently located for all of us, they have plenty of parking, and a menu with enough choices to please everyone in our party. We'll be back.

A solid A here. Great roast beef on kimmelwick, German potato salad, wings, and fish fry.

Always loved this place especially the double decker Ruben, but last two times they were out of them at 5:30 ? Really?. I tried the special meat lovers burger- hamburger, a sausage patty, pulled port and bacon! I asked for med / medium rare it was more towards well! It was till very good and flavorful ! My wife had the fish fry , it was cool and soggy like it was sitting on a shelf for a long time. The fries was limp and cool too. It was NOT busy and the service was very, very slow! Disappointed!!!

Great restaurant in the heart of West Seneca. April the bartender is the best! We ordered blueberry and garlic parm wings and the happy hour special of jerk chicken strips. The blueberry wings were just okay. They were sweet, which was good, but they needed something else in the sauce. Maybe lemon to add a little acidity and to compliment the blueberry. The chicken strips with honey mustard dip were crunchy and had good flavor. I'd love to try other items from their extensive menu.

The chicken wings were great along with the drink. The waitress was very nice. The price was excellent 75 cent a wing on Sunday's. It was nice and relaxed in here.

Overall just 3 stars for this place. I've been wanting to try it for a while since they serve fish daily and the previous pics looks pretty good. Parking is a nightmare just an FYI. Hopefully you get lucky to find a spot in the lot but they're always busy! Seating was easy and quick. We chose to sit inside so there were plenty of tables. They also have an outdoor patio which was too packed but looked nice. For appetizers we tried the hot pepper bombs and spinach artichoke dip. Both were good but the artichoke dip was best. For an entree my husband got the Mac and cheese with Cajun chicken and it didn't taste Cajun at all. I actually added hot sauce just to give it some flavor! My fish fry was decent. The fish itself was absolutely amazing. The sides were just okay but everything was overloaded with red onion - even the coleslaw. Not really a fan! Overall I may come back for a drink or appetizer on the patio but I'm not that impressed to return quickly.

Unfortunately, that really wasn't our experience. The biggest issue was cleanliness. The entire place felt tired and dirty. The carpets looked heavily worn and stained, the booths had food stuck in the crevices, and overall it just didn't feel clean or well maintained. The dishes and drinkware didn't help. The coffee mugs, which were once white, were badly stained and dingy looking. My mother actually rubbed something off hers, and the waitress explained that it "wasn't dirty, just stained." Not exactly the best first impression, especially at $55 per person for brunch. We ordered mimosas after that, hoping things would improve, but even the champagne glasses looked questionable and were filled to noticeably different levels. Then the food arrived, and unfortunately it only got worse. Everything was served "family style," but there was no menu or explanation of what was coming. The meal felt random and poorly executed. Some highlights included: * A single store-bought pastry cut into pieces * Mac and cheese that tasted like boxed Velveeta * Deep-fried breakfast sausages * Ham that resembled warmed-up lunch meat * Three shrimp total for two people * A bowl of stew meat that felt completely out of place * An Eggs Benedict attempt that simply didn't work To make matters worse, some of the silverware and plates appeared dirty as well. By the end, we honestly couldn't wait to leave. The automatic $20 holiday service charge on top of the already expensive brunch really sealed the experience for us. Sadly, this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we've had in quite a while.

Overpriced, Unsanitary, and Unprofessional - A $500 Disaster…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but our recent experience was truly appalling. We visited with a party of 11, including my 88-year-old grandfather. Despite the high price point--our bill was nearly $500--the standards of service and cleanliness were non-existent. The Issues: Accessibility & Cleanliness: There were zero handicap parking spots available. Inside, the restaurant was filthy; there was old food and trash under our booth, and the bathroom was in a state of neglect with toilet paper left on dirty surfaces rather than the holder. The Environment: We were greeted by stained, soiled paper menus and a swarm of fruit flies that stayed with us throughout the entire meal. Poor Service: We waited 50 minutes for basic dinner salads. My grandfather's coffee took 45 minutes to arrive. The waitress appeared visibly annoyed that she had to walk around our booth to serve us. Cheap Substitutes: For the price of a strip steak, you expect quality. Instead, we were served Aldi-brand steak sauce. When I asked for A1, I was handed a filthy, food-smeared bottle that was nearly empty. The "Refill" Incident: Our initial drinks were served half-empty. When we asked for refills, the waitress told us to finish our current glasses because they weren't free and she "didn't want to charge us." In the end, we were charged for them anyway. Overpriced Food: The French Onion soup is served in tiny metal bowls, not crocks. To top it off, we paid $22 for two "slices" of cheesecake to go--one of which was a literal sliver of cake. While the food itself was decent, no meal is worth this level of disrespect and lack of hygiene. I will never recommend this establishment.

The quest for healthier take out lunch continues…read more.. I stopped in Monday after finding out my health insurance "bonus card" is accepted at Kitchen 32 along with all the other meal prep joints in the area. Did someone say free lunch? The woman working was pleasant and gave a nice overview of everything: -Monday is discount day - score. Meals are normally $6-7. Which is cheap to being with. -All meals are frozen. -Cook time is three minutes in the microwave AFTER defrosting. -Offerings cover breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. -Meals tend to be high protein, low carb, low calorie. Basically very healthy made to make you feel full. Biggest bummer is all meals are frozen to the point where you can't even see through the clear containers. The salesperson said, "their main location carries the fresh meals." Don't know where the "main location" is but this doesn't help me. I don't have time to wait for this stuff to defrost then microwave when I'm looking for an immediate lunch. She also suggested microwaving from the frozen state. I don't know about you but microwaving anything frozen never turns out right - one bite is blazing hot when the next is an ice cube. I will say the chicken fajita rice bowl was delicious once I finally got around to making it properly. Did it fill me up? Not really but it would be a nice substitute over a greasy cheeseburger. The beef and vegetables wasn't great. The broccoli and string beans tasted bland. The beef was heavily seasoned but I didn't give it a taste. My dog ended up having it for dinner :( If you're good at meal planning this is the place for you. Looking for a quick bite to eat, not so much.

On previous trips to the Buffalo area, we always made it a point to stop by Charlie the Butcher's for a Beef on Weck, and it was often the first/last stop upon leaving/entering the airport. Since Schwabl's claimed to be the originator of the Beef on Weck, we planned on giving it a try. We scheduled our visit for a Saturday so that we could also try their Hungarian Goulash. We stopped by at lunchtime, and our server checked to ensure it was ready. My wife wasn't feeling well, so I ordered the Hungarian Goulash, and we ordered two Beef on Weck sandwiches to go. I had a few bites of the goulash and then asked for a takeaway container. The bill ended up being a bit more than $85, so I asked to use Apple Pay. (There had been a fraud attempt on my credit card earlier in our trip, so Apple Pay was the best option for us. Our server told me, "you should have checked! You're lucky we take credit cards!" Frankly, I had already checked on credit cards before entering, even though I had planned on just paying cash. When the bill turned out to be so high, I decided to conserve the cash (even though I later noticed in fine print that there was a 3% discount for cash). The ambiance was "old school" and kind of interesting, but it was in need of a good overall cleaning. The Hungarian Goulash was bland, had no vegetables, and the meat was very tough; I think it would've been better if we had been there towards closing time when it could've benefited from slow cooking all day. Perhaps they hadn't gotten around to adding the vegetables and seasonings before serving us. Overall, I'm glad we checked this one off our list. However, since it seems to be resting on its past history. I doubt we'll ever return, nor could we recommend it to anyone.

Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed in our overall experience. Each guest is given a sheet of paper where you can select 3 teas. The server didn't explain this was per person so we were confused thinking it was 3 per table. The biggest disappointment for us is that we were given tea bags, which in my opinion is not appropriate for an experience of afternoon tea and really cheapened the experience. As an avid tea drinker, I personally was expecting at least loose tea. We were given one hot tea pot for the table and had to constantly ask for refills until towards the end when the server gave us a second pot. It was a bit dangerous for us trying to pass one kettle around the table of four people as well. They also don't give you any iced water to drink on the side which was disappointing. In addition, no one came to clean out or change out your tea cup when you were moving on to drink the next tea. So I ended having a taste of earl grey in the chamomile tea. For the 3rd tea, I ended up dumping some of it out on my plate and wiping with my napkin. Eek! We did however, enjoy the food. They present you with a 3 tiered tray with a variety of finger sandwiches, scones, and pastries and jam/butter. We all thought the finger sandwiches, scones and desserts were delicious. The sandwich were tasty, but a bit tiny and definitely needed more filling. Overall, I may come back for the food but I was disappointed in the use of tea bags and the inattentive service.

Criminal at the price. My husband's giant steak was also under-seasoned as were the sad mashed potatoes and carrots that came along with it. The steak was good quality, cooked fine, but could have been exceptional if it had any flavor beyond being a good piece of meat. The Thai shrimp appetizer was good but if you put Thai chili sauce on anything it will taste good. The scallop was decent but again not really seared well and lacking flavor even with the balsamic drizzle. Would not come back to waste hundreds of dollars on overpriced unseasoned food again. Indoor noise was elevated (it's a restaurant that has a bar, it's going to not be quiet haha) but the two of us could carry on a conversation fairly normally. Our waitress came over immediately to let us know she'd be a few minutes as there were a few other tables she was handling. Fine by us as that allowed my buddy ample time to look over the menu and figure out what he wanted. I saw the St. Patrick's Day-themed cocktail specials menu so I knew what I was ordering. Our waitress though - Absolutely wonderful! She was incredibly friendly, had great personality, and was really accommodating in splitting the check (I took care of all our drinks, my friend took care of his dinner). Our waitress did a great job checking in on us at the perfect time, we never felt pressured, rushed. I didn't order any food but my friend ordered their Steakhouse Strip off the "Large Plates" section of the menu, and boy oh boy, did that look amazing! The 12-ounce strip was cooked to a picture-perfect medium-rare with plenty of tobacco onions on top and around the plate, and served over a generous bed of mashed potatoes and asparagus, served with a small cup of their A1 aioli. After seeing that, I certainly want to come back and order food. My friend really enjoyed their meal, the plate was clean! As for me, I ordered two St. Patrick's Day -themed cocktails: "Sham Rocked Shake" and "Irish Good Bye". The "Sham Rocked Shake" was vanilla vodka, crème de menthe, cream, and chocolate syrup and curls - This was creamy, delicious, not overly minty. The "Irish Good Bye" was Three Chord bourbon, Aperol, Amaro Nonino, and lemon juice with a lime wedge - There was so much flavor in this cocktail, the lemon juice added a pleasant fruity 'punch'. Looking at the prices for these cocktails, I felt they were in-line with most other places and they were made well so no complaints from me. The Ridge West Seneca really surprised me! I've driven past it a few times and wondered how good it was. From our friendly waitress and service, the delicious cocktails, to the fantastic-looking food, I am impressed. I'm looking forward to coming back soon for another night of drinks and to try some food!

I loved the outdoor space! It was perfect for our group, which tends to be on the louder side. The…read moreonly downside was that it was a little difficult to get the bartenders' attention at times. I told myself I was going to try something new since they have great happy hour specials from 4-6 PM on weekdays, but I couldn't resist the Everything Wedge Salad. No regrets, it was delicious. One of our friends brought her puppy and was thrilled to discover they have a dog menu. Such a cute touch! Overall, it's a great spot for groups, with a fun atmosphere, plenty of outdoor space, and solid food. No complaints here!
