For such an expensive restaurant the entrees were very disappointingly unseasoned. Which may explain why a restaurant as expensive as this actually had salt and pepper on the table -- which is rare. Seasoning food after the fact is fine, but never as good as during the preparation. My seabass was tasteless and was sat on top of a mediocre risotto...which is saying something since it was a Gouda and red pepper risotto. Also unseasoned overcooked green beans on the side. Criminal at the price. My husband's giant steak was also under-seasoned as were the sad mashed potatoes and carrots that came along with it. The steak was good quality, cooked fine, but could have been exceptional if it had any flavor beyond being a good piece of meat. The Thai shrimp appetizer was good but if you put Thai chili sauce on anything it will taste good. The scallop was decent but again not really seared well and lacking flavor even with the balsamic drizzle. Would not come back to waste hundreds of dollars on overpriced unseasoned food again. I will say the service was good and the staff were lovely. Too bad the food is mid. This is a high-end restaurant and I was really expecting a little more The food was definitely not bad but at the price point I was expecting something out of the ordinary. I had Chicken Milanese which was a Panko coated chicken breast cooked nice and crispy and topped with greens and a balsamic glaze. The problem was they basically put a salad on top of the chicken and none of the balsamic flavoring made it to the chicken. It gave me the feeling of a very classy chicken tender. Inside is gorgeous, I didn't feel too crowded which is always a plus in these smaller places. It's an upscale look. The service was ok, nothing over the top, but not bad. The food was great. We got a couple of appetizers that were both good. Stuffed banana peppers, and the crab cakes. The crab cakes were made with lots of crab which is good to see. Albeit it's only 2 cakes, and for a party of 5 we had to cut them up to split them. Their salads are large, easily could be your whole meal if you wanted. The seafood risotto was great. I came here for dinner on a Saturday night and I was pleased with my experience. Parking was difficult, I made reservations and everything and I had no idea the restaurant included valet! That was disappointing. Don't make my mistake!!! The place is gardened up really nice and there are lanterns and lights all over the outside. I ordered the pepper dip - YUM! It got a little messy because I had to rip the bread bowl apart to really eat it, so that was the only criticism I could give there. Then I had the bone-in steak with the truffle chips. I was really pleased with everything. I didn't even up eating much of my steak that night because I was stuffed from the pepper dip, but it served as great leftovers. Great for business dinners. Attentive service with frequent check-backs and knowledgable staff. The beet salad is a great way to start your meal. You don't even need the dressing. Also, love the bread basket with the sweet, creamy butter for the warm rolls. They know how to do steak! Can't go wrong with their filet. Marble brownie is more cakey than fudgy. Celebrated our 11th anniversary here and this place was amazing! The service was incredible drinks were consistently filled and we were constantly checked on by our server(Jill V). She was very pleasant and gave us an ample amount of time to figure out what we wanted because the Wife was undecided lol The food was very delicious and made to perfection, everything came out right on time which we enjoyed so much! I absolutely loved the tuna mango appetizer, I don't remember what it was called but it was a special. The tostadas have a little kick but are yummy and the crispy ravioli was very good. I wasn't as into the pork belly as the others, but ultimately delicious food and complimentary bread. Had the stuffed banana pepper app which was good but nothing to rave about. Same with the banana pepper dip. There was a special on the menu of pork bites in a delicious glaze which was very good. I loved the fall creek salad. Would go back just for that. Caesar salad was also great and comes with tomatoes which I love! (I always have to ask to add them to my caeser salads.) Got the jambalaya which was very tasty but not a true jambalaya (typically in rice) but it did have all the protein - shrimp, chicken and andouille sausage. Cannoli cassata cake was awesome. We had a gift card that needed to be used and thought using it to celebrate 5 months untol we get married was the perfect opportunity. I had a black walnut old fashioned. Bery flavorful. I also got the Boston bibb salad, which was so good and all the items in the salad melded well together flavor wise. Phil got the beet salad and enjoyed it. We split the cowboy steak and it waa wonderful. The perfect size for 2 people. I dont know how one person can eat 24 ounces of steak. The banana pepper dip was the main reason I wanted to come here and it was okay but nothing too special. I did like that they served it in a bread bowl. As the main dish I spilt the turkey sandwich with my guest and it was a good sized portion. They had a lot of different dip options for the fries which was nice and fun to try the different flavors. We ordered an appitizer the stuffed pepper dip and it was good we just wish it was served with chips or baguettes not a bread bowl. I had scallop tostadas for my meal and fingerling potato's on the side. The tostadas were okay, they had way too much stuff on top of the chips making them soggy. I ended up eating the scallops by themselves with the toppings. The fingerling potato's were part of a special but she let me order them on the side and they were delicious! Finally made it to Rick's on Main. It was fantastic! Our server Sarah was friendly and very attentive. The food was delicious! We had the sausage stuffed peppers as our appetizer. For dinner I ordered the filet with grilled asparagus and fried red skin potatoes. My husband had chicken milanese. We split a piece of cookie dough cheesecake for dessert (not pictured). We decided to go for lunch and did not realize they close down between lunch and dinner so felt rushed while we were there. The hot pepper dip was the main reason I wanted to go and unfortunately it was nothing special. I've had it at other places that I would prefer much better. The turkey club was good (lots of turkey if that's what you like) and I split it and was still very full off of a half of a sandwich. very disappointed. my wife and I went there for lunch today. we both ordered the blackened grouper. it took nearly 30 minutes before our food arrived. that didn't bother us since we were not in a hurry. when our meal finally arrived the grouper was over cooked. it was dried out. I ordered sweet fries which were burnt and dried out. We worked thru our meal. the hostess asked hour our meal was and we simply said fine. she is not the cook. we decided to order desert to go and ordered Casata. we attempted to enjoy it when we got home. it was terrible. it was very dry. Haven't been here in about 7 years...last time I was here everything was excellent...this go round, not so great...our waiter Chris, I'm hoping was only having an off day....no customer engagement, very matter of fact "what do you want" kind of attitude...onto the food, had the pepper dip bowl, was really good, the dinner rolls were warm but they're really doughy, the Caesar was good but I'd never seen it made in segments, IE the anchovies weren't mixed in, they were in 2 piles on 1 end of the plate,,,I ordered the seafood risotto with charred asparagus for my main dish, the seafood was cooked well but the risotto was under cooked...to me, there's nothing worse than chewing on risotto and the Arborio is crunchy....going to a high end restaurant, that should be a pretty easy dish to perfect...I make it at home all the time and other than my first time 30 years ago, have never undercooked it...the other issue was 1 table below us, the table closest to the street, had a wasps nest either under it or near it....a few of them flew over by our table but they buzzed us and flew away... shockingly, the hostess sat 2 people at that very table 10 minutes later....we warned them immediately and sure enough, just as we did a bunch of wasps started buzzing around them so they asked to be moved. This restaurant is wonderful. It was a bit of a hike for me, but I always wanted to try it. It was definitely worth the trip. I went here to meet a friend. I was overwhelmed with the traffic and a new location, so I opted to use the valet, but my friend found parking next to the building. No biggie. I was a little early, so I went to the bar for a quick drink. I don't remember what I had, but it was good. Once my friend arrived, we were brought upstairs and seated in a very romantic setup. It was a table for two on a balcony over the rest of the restaurant. Super cute. It was nice because it was perfect for some obnoxious gossip and chit-chat between friends, lol. For starters, we ordered the sausage stuffed banana peppers, and they were absolutely delicious. Definitely one of my favorite dishes in general, and they did it well. For dinner, I had the shrimp and chicken jambalaya, and my friend had the steak gorgonzola pasta. They were both delicious, but mine was better. The flavor and seasoning was perfect. I felt like my friends needed something more. For dessert, I had this lemon blueberry cake. OMG, it was too die for. The calamari and pepper dip were really good to start! Unfortunately we just weren't blown away by our pasta dishes (next time we will stick to steak).
