Had a good meal a few weeks ago but last night we got a Togo order that was terrible. We ordered a full rack dinner along with beef brisket piece. the brisket was very tender because it was 50% straight up fat! Our experience with the ribs were not much better. It's been awhile since we've been there, so there's some new items on the menu, so we tried new things. My dining partner had the smoked brisket sandwich. No he didn't share, it was that good. I tried the 1/4 ribs, with smoked baked beans and coleslaw, I didn't share either, it was that good. If worse comes to worst, I can always manipulate a sandwich or salad to eliminate the meat. Our server Gina had a lot of customers, and was really hustling, but managed to stay on top of everything while being super nice. I took my mother shopping and while in the area we decided to stop in for an early dinner. We were looking forward to a new experience for a BBQ place and based on the reviews thought this would be a great time. Apparently since COVID some places have opted to either pre cook food or are saving leftovers. Our experience was the food when it arrived at the table was luke warm and had a taste of being reheated. The french fries were a bit greasy and soggy. I had the pulled pork sandwich....because how else do you put a BBQ place to the test without a great serving of pulled pork or ribs. My mother settled for a burger, which she said was a bit tough ... I understand it will be a bit before things get back to normal ..but I hate when the quality of the food is the issue. Reheating leads to an overcooked dry experience. I will give them another try just to see if things change ... This place always takes great care of their customers. With the current tendency for poor service around, BW's offers consistent quality on every level. Call me sentimental, but there are few places I hope never disappear from the culinary scene. Today, the restaurant was very quiet. It must be the combination of extreme weather, Bills game and Covid, of course. Our food was finger licking good, literally. The rib tips for an appetizer menu were soft and tender as usual. I wished my sandwich was warmer, but I didn't complain knowing I'll take home most of it anyway. I enjoyed the sweet potato fries with the best ever honey-butter dip. My partner's favorite sandwich, the 12-Gauge, wasn't on the current menu. So he took the 38 Special instead -- smoked beef tenderloin on a kaiser roll -- a good choice. The atmosphere wasn't the same. It made me down a little bit. Seeing all the signs and notes with new regulations wasn't cheerful or good for my appetite. They even removed some of the booth tables to follow the new protocol, and it doesn't look aesthetic . It felt sad, but our server was great and definitely helped. Went here for dinner on a Saturday, they don't accept reservations for parties less than five so we arrived at the fairly busy restaurant and asked for a table for two. We were promptly greeted and seated in a booth in the dining room ( as opposed to the bar). Our waitress was friendly and upbeat as she took our drink orders. Our drinks arrived promptly and were exactly as ordered. I ordered a quarter rack of ribs. We also order a platter with beef brisket, chicken and pulled pork. This might've been good if it was hot ... but EVERYTHING was ice cold. I placed a takeout order via phone. They said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived at the correct time and proceeded to wait 30 minutes for my food. Apparently, if you aren't a door dash order you get ignored. 10 door dash orders got picked up while I was waiting. When I finally got my food everything was ice cold, including my wife's fish. The only item that was warm was the macaroni salad. Nothing better than microwave fish for $50. The girl who finally brought my order did apologize but the fact that all 3 items were cold tells me it was just sitting there. If there was a problem at least 1 thing would've been warm. My coworker and I started the idea of fun food Fridays where we try a different spot on Fridays. I put a bunch of places in a bag and we are going to blindly pick. I'm excited to try some new spots, especially when this was the first from our options. They really set the bar high. We ordered through Doordash and pre-ordered in the morning so we get get it by lunch time. Timing was spot on and the food was still warm. They have portions for every appetite and they have lunch specials. We got a grilled chicken salad and the chicken was very well seasoned. I've never heard my coworker rave so much about a salad lol. The Kansas City tenderloin tips were so tender and had a nice flavor to them. They also came with a side of fries. I couldn't try a BBQ place without seeing what their brisket was like so I got the portion of beef brisket which was great. To my surprise, for the price, it also came with a side so I got the Mac and cheese. Very cheesy. We also got the mashed sweet potatoes which came with a side of honey butter . All of the food was really good and I feel like the prices were very reasonable. Doordash is very high with their fees for this place so be prepared to spend an extra $12-$15 alone on delivery and service fees if you go that route. read more

I went here on a Friday around 5:30pm. The parking lot was bumpin', which made me nervous that we would have to wait for a table, but we were seated right away. Perhaps it just looked busy with all the servers/cooks cars? I love that you can choose from a long list of sides for all sandwiches/entrees. My son enjoyed his Chicken Little, which was juicy and flavorful. The meat fell right off the bone. And his side of fries was HUGE. I went with the beer battered fish fry. It was a basic fish fry, nothing to right home about. I was a little disappointed when I asked for some more tartar sauce and was given the little packets. The shelf stable tartar sauce is nothing in comparison to the real stuff. The sweet fries and the mac salad were my favorite part. (I highly recommend these sides. BW's has the BEST sweet potato fries and honey butter sauce in this area. And the mac salad reminds me of summer time picnics; lots of mayo and some finely minced vegetables for a nice texture). The baked beans had a bit of an artificial smokiness to me and I wish they still had some meat in them like they used to. Once again, the sides were very plentiful. The server was kind enough to bring out some various bbq condiment cups for us to use for dipping. They all tasted a bit off to me. Especially the original flavor. Maybe it was just a bad batch? The price was decent for all the food we got. Although this wasn't the greatest taste experience, BW's will always have a place in my heart.
