Came here on a Monday evening to celebrate my Mom's belated birthday with my kids, and honestly, it was a win all around. She had a gift card, plus Mondays mean kids eat free, which is always a bonus. The warm brown bread with honey butter is reason enough to come back. It comes out perfectly warm, and the butter melts right into it. My kids convinced us to order the appetizer trio with loaded fries, mozzarella sticks, and onion peels, and I'm glad they did. It came out quickly, and those boomerang mozz sticks were some of the best I've had in a long time. Oh, and the onion peels remain a personal favorite as always. For our entrées, my mom and I both ordered the sirloin combo with an added protein so we could share. I chose the coconut shrimp, and she went with the Alice chicken. Both were delicious, and the steakhouse-style loaded baked potato was such a nice change since I rarely order baked potatoes. My boys were happy with their steaks and fries, while my daughter stuck with the classic chicken fingers, because they just don't disappoint. Service was excellent from start to finish. The hostess was incredibly sweet and welcoming when seating us, and the staff was just as kind on the way out, even opening the door for us as we left. It's those little touches that really stand out. As much as I love supporting local businesses, this was a chain restaurant experience done really well. Always come here never an issue but this time there was some issues. We waited almost 35 minutes for our food, while others who were seated after us received their food. Our waitress came over to say they had a big push of entrees that is taking longer than expected. Once we received our food my husband's plate was piping hot as well as my baked potatoe but my plate was cool. My steak was more like a sirloin sliced filet. Think chewy and overcooked and cool. Broccoli was cold as well. Our server never came over to see how our food was. Oh my husband's meal was good. Our waitress said we could pay with the kiosk and ran off when my husband wanted to tell her about my meal When we left we asked the hostess if we could talk with manager and said they were in between managers at the time and won't be available for another hiur. Went to Outback on McKinley at 4pm. Only 20 people in there. By 4:40 we got salads. At 5:10 we asked for manager. He said it will still be a couple of minutes. Goodbye, manager said he take care of everything. I think our waiter screwed up. Three of us had ordered steaks and a burger, with sides. At least the manager was nice. Did not care for our server... Welcome to the "Outback". Our lunch adventure brought us here after seeing the commercial on tv for the multi course meal this sunny Saturday afternoon. The host was absolutely hustling as he was cleaning tables and seating people as at least 10 people were waiting behind us as he was cleaning and holding the door for a couple of guests. He really could have used some help. But we were seated after about 10mins and greet by our waitress who was so incredibly polite and friendly despite hustling between all her tables (outback she's the reason for the 4 stars here) food 2.5/ service gets the rest of the credit here. So you can say the food was honestly pretty average at best. Potato soup was good according to the misses The chili was actually the best part of my meal, spicy and with real steak in it. We both got the grilled chicken (one with a little less seasoning) I chose fries and she got the Mac n cheese. The chicken was moist as my plate was pretty watery, but even with the seasoning it was pretty forgettable. The blooming onion, the signature item, that was the one thing we actually enjoyed most. As predicted the little yelper wanted chicken fingers, with her being hungry we thought she woulda loved them. One bite and she was over them, even with being soaked in ketchup. But for what we paid in total I really had loftier hopes for a great meal. Live and learn. Side memo/ if you sit in the back corner you'll get a treat of hearing the staff all say corner as they enter and leave the back. We ordered our food online and picked it up at the store. The time our food was ready was not too bad, we scheduled ahead of time and it was ready a few minutes after that scheduled time. However, we were given the wrong salad and salad dressing which we did not notice till we were already home. There was also nobody working the walk up door, even though it was unlocked, so I went to the hostess stand & then told me to go back to the pick up area because someone should be working. Excellent service and good food at a decent price. Out of chain steakhouses I have to say this is my favorite. A wait most of the time when I go, but it goes rather quickly. Rather large menu and a lot of combination dishes which I think is great. Make sure to give your server your phone number for points, and you can get free appetizers after an amount of visits, or money off your bill. Definitely a bonus. I've never had a bad meal here, and was happy when my nephew suggested it for dinner. read more

Great lunchtime experience for us today! Our plan to eat at another restaurant was torpedoed by the hour long wait for a booth. So just a few storefronts away the Outback Steakhouse had no wait times. And so we had lunch here for the first time, and it's safe to say that we will be back! The coffee was hot and black. I am very disappointed by how this restaurant is operating now. It used to be my favorite restaurant. Current operations are impersonal. You see a waitress to take your order. Runners who don't bring your beverages. The service was slow and my granddaughters meal was burned. My steak was cooked incorrectly. It then took the restaurant an additional 20 minutes to bring out our corrected meals but by then our family was finished eating. So I dropped by here w/ my dad and bro after watching the tom brady-led NE patriots (at the time), beat the bills in a thrilling, nail-biter game at Highmark stadium. This outback was fairly close to the stadium and we were looking for a bite to eat before driving back over the border to toronto. Can I just say, I always forget how much food I can get in America for the money. I felt that value was so great here. We ordered a bloomin onion, house salad, mac n cheese, NY strip and porterhouse. The bloomin onion was nostalgic. There used to be an outback near the cineplex back home (got replaced by a bunch of different restos) and the bloomin onion was always a must order for my fam. Just love those crispy onions and the playfulness of the dish. The house salad was nothing to write home about. Although my dad did say that it prolly could've been a meal on its own because of how big it was. The steakhouse mac n cheese had me very pleasantly surprised. The pasta was cooked al dente and the curly, fancier noodles were used instead of elbow macaroni. The blend of cheeses was also superb. Very flavorful but not too salty. The mac was awesome. The steaks were cooked beautifully. Perfect medium rare on the inside (especially the porterhouse). The baked sweet potato was great because it had a lil knob of butter inside and it felt like it was also candied slightly. This visit reaffirmed to me how much I missed Outback in Canada. Despite the fryers being down, we had an amazing experience at Outback! The host was super friendly and went over the menu limitations due to the down fryers. Our server was kind, pleasant, and attentive. We both ordered the surf n turf (filet mignon, shrimp, and scallops). The steaks were ordered medium rare and cooked to perfection, the shrimp was tender and juicy, and the scallops were some of the best we've ever eaten. The food arrived fast and hot. Went the day after a buffalo bills game. The restaurant was very clean and the wait staff were nice and seemed happy to be there. We had the blooming onion which is the signature appetizer on the menu. It's huge. Tasted great. We had lunch specials they were very reasonably priced that included the fresh bread and a side with the entree. We both had the breaded chicken which was tasty. We haven't been to an Outback in quite some time. We moved to Hamburg earlier this year and decided to go to a casual steakhouse. We used to enjoy Texas Roadhouse, but there are none in the Southtowns. So Outback it was, and it is pretty much as we remembered it in the past. I think it might be just slightly better than Texas Roadhouse, although the prices seemed a bit higher. The beer prices were reasonable, and we did wait at the bar for about 45 minutes, typical for a Saturday, so I was happy I didn't spend more on 2 beers than on my dinner. As for the food, it is very good, but you can't compare it to a super-expensive steakhouse. And of course, you aren't paying those over-the-top prices of a fancy steakhouse either. But you do get very good food at a decent value. My wife's prime rib was great. I had the filet, also very good for the price. Maybe a little chewy but nicely cooked and tasty. However, my favorite was the wedge salad. Very tasty, and good quality lettuce. However, the best part of the experience was the exceptional and friendly service. Our server, Nicole, was excellent without being pushy. Very good service, which in this age of labor shortages is not always easily found. read more

I came here with my husband and his parents because we had a gift card. We arrived before my inlaws, so we ordered drinks first. I got a Wallaby Darned, a frozen peach drink that has alkey-hol in it. It's my favorite. They overloaded the glass too, which was great. Our waiter was superb. When he found out I was gluten free, he went into the kitchen to see what sides I could have. Ultimately, with my allergy, all I could have with the baby back ribs I ordered was the salad and a sweet potato. I made sure I got the potato loaded so I could treat myself. The dressing I wanted with the salad wasn't gluten free either because our waiter had the sense to ask what dressings I could have. I've never had a waiter be more accommodating. The baby back ribs were delicious for a chain restaurant. The sweet potato was a little sad because of how small it was, but it still tasted good. I violently dislike eating salads, so I mustered the courage to take a bite and ended up actually liking it. The candied pecans may have had something to do with it. A lot of their stuff isn't available right now because of the epidemic and them not knowing how long they'll be open, so please bear that in mind if you decide to eat here. Waited 30 minutes for a table for three At 3pm (between lunch and dinner). No big deal. It happens. When we get called, we get seated at literally the worst table in the restaurant - small, cramped, and right by the door they take the to-go orders out of. It's freezing and drafty and I've got two little kids in tow. I ask for a different fable, because I'm literally surrounded by empty tables that are way better. They tell me "it's all that's available." Yeah ok. So here we sit. Freezing and still surrounded by empty tables. My husband and I had gift cards from last Christmas. It was snowing didn't feel like going out but we got the curb-side takeaway!! We went wild ordered everything, Had like room service on a Cold and Windy Sunday! I ordered the 12 oz rib eye with coconut shrimp. The steak was perfectly done. Shrimps were ice cold but they still good dipped in the crazy fruity dip. The salad was day old for sure Very Wilted and even smelled funny. My husband ordered the cup of soup, excellent, rack o ribs, Great! Burger was excellent done perfect and he said it was great! He ate it so fast I didn't even get a look!! We had dinner at the Outback Steakhouse on McKinley Pkwy, Blasdell, NY and were displeased with our meals. What's happening with this restaurant? There were a lot of empty tables which we don't ever remember seeing! My 6 oz. filet mignon looked like a 4 oz and had grizzle and fat in it. Lobster tail was very good. My husband's 12 oz prime rib was to well done and I tasted it and it tasted like pot roast. We love their caesar salad but the quality of their beef isn't there anymore. Not quite sure for the price if we will frequent this restaurant again! We never send food back and for very good reasons. I didn't want to take it out on the waitress who was very nice. Absolutely no complaints about the staff and service. But the menu options are terrible. They took all our favorites off the menu. Also as the prices remain the same the portion sizes are half of what they were before and quality is not the same. Maybe we will try back in a few months but in the meantime we will go to the places with full menus. read more

Was a mob scene at the hostess stand on a Friday night so we found our way to the bar. Took a bit to get service, but once we were attended to all was well. It was happy hour so we had a couple glasses of wine. Keep in mind they only discount the 6 oz pours of wine. We went 9 ounce and paid full price. Started with onion petals and they were delicious and just the right size! I'll get these in lieu of the blooming onion from now on. We never did get bread we asked for but after the appetizer we didn't need it anyhow. Our steaks were cooked perfectly to order and the sides were a decent size. My wife and I stopped in for dinner on a Thursday night. Due to the bar area being closed and only seating to around 50% capacity there was a 30 minute wait. Normally I wouldn't have waited for that long for a chain restaurant but we had some gift cards that we wanted to use. The food is as expected and came out quickly due to the reduced capacity. My wife had apps as a main course and the tuna and shrimp were seasoned well. It is also had to come to outback and not get a blooming onion. I ordered a new chicken sandwich that was coated in the blooming onion breading and it was awesome. The chicken was cook excellent and was not dry at all. I can't really say anything bad about the experience other than having to wait to get seated. It delivers as expected for and Outback. read more

I've been to Outback Steakhouse a handful of times and keep on coming back for more. My fiancé and I were greated by the hostess and given the device to wait in the waiting area. Only 10 minutes, which is literally nothing! Our waitress was quick to come greet us and order our drinks and food. I had no clue what to drink so she recommended the margarita flight and HOLY COW IT WAS AMAZING! Watermelon, Mango, Blackberry, and Sauza Gold Costa Rica. We then ordered a blooming onion as our appetizer which was delicious, and were given our bread with butter (my absolute favorite). I had a side salad and the bacon bourbon salmon with mixed veggies. It was cooked to perfection. My stomach and heart was left full! My only con is that I asked for water and never got it. The waitress also said she would check to see if I was on dine dash rewards and I never got an answer on that either. But overall had a great time! I was with a friend and we decided to stop for a bite to eat but wanted to run across the street to drop something off first. A woman came running out of the restaurant and yelling at us that the parking lot was only for customers. I said were coming in for lunch just have to drop something off...she was very rude, said she didn't believe us! We were across the street for no more than 3 minutes and honestly thought twice about having lunch there but we were hungry so we went in. I thought perhaps the owner would see us and come out and apologize for being so rude, but nothing of the sort happened we had our overpriced mediocor lunch and we were on our way.
