First off the reservation system is terrible. Booking people in half hour blocks and having them sit around for 25 mins makes no sense. We've been to a lot of fine dining restaurants and this place is a just fine dining experience. We had the 20oz ribeye special which was way over seasoned and very average but the whipped potatoes were delicious. My wife had the burger which was also very solid with hand cut fries. The best meal of the night was by far the prime rib sliders which were tender/juicy and very flavorful. But sadly overall this place felt dirty with many tables full of dirty dishes just sitting on them the entire time we were there. I'm not sure anyone would choose this place at premium price points if they weren't getting dinner comps from the casino. read more

We have eaten here several times in the last year, we typically check in with the hostess for a reservation but often prefer to sit at the bar if there is space. Their ribeye steak is my favorite although the lobster roll is the best I have ever tried. The view of the city skyline is arguably the best in the area. Their patio is very pleasant as well. The staff is friendly and courteous and the orders are generally prepared and served as ordered in a reasonable amount of time. As far as sides their fries are crisp and delicious. Came for dinner ahead of the Blue October/Goo Goo Dolls concert last night. As we were being seated, another server was bringing the wedge salad to another table and its presentation was so striking, I had to get one. I will say the pickled onions gave me Indian food vibes which was *not& expected with Bleu cheese and bacon... As with most restaurants, we were served bread, which I politely declined & asked the server to place it on the opposite side of the table. My dining companion enjoyed a piece of dill focaccia. The sad thing was that our medium steaks seemed to have sat under the heat lamps so they were a little overdone. That being said, the caramelized onions & mushrooms were a tasty addition, plus the horseradish tasted fresh - bonus. Our after dinner drinks had to be remade because they were rang up as Nutty Irishmen instead of Irish coffees. All in all, a nice view of some of the city, a tasty meal, and a pleasant evening. Three of us were here for dinner on Sunday, March 9, at 5 pm. They open at 5, so we popped up there at 4:50. By 5, there was a nice crowd waiting. We were seated and ordered drinks, by 5 pm. For dinner, two of us chose the fantastic burgers. One side was steak fries, the other mashed potatoes. Both were excellent. The other had a lot of food: he had a crab cake appetizer, with a gorgeous strip steak and an order of scallops. He was thrilled with his meal, and also ordered a cheesecake dessert. Service was cheerful, appeared to be genuinely having fun as they worked, and very attentive. We love coming here because one can go for the full fine dining experience or just have a light but very well prepared meal as well. As we left, we noticed most of the tables were filled, as was the bar. They are doing things very well here, and we will return soon. read more

The best part of our meal was probably our server, Sam. She was very patient and accommodating. The second best part was the raspberry white chocolate butter served with the bread. Sounds strange. Tastes amazing. I was half-tempted to dig in with a spoon. Instead I applied copious amounts to my bread, like double the amount I would usually use. My prime rib sliders with gouda and swiss cheese were great, but I could have done with a little more horseradish aioli. If you don't like spicy food, don't be scared to order these because they really didn't have much of a kick to them. The prime rib was tender and delicious. The truffle fries were great with consistent flavor throughout instead of getting overbearing by the bottom of the basket. We both liked the red chili ketchup, which tastes pretty similar to traditional ketchup, but I especially liked the curry ketchup. It almost had a cinnamon sweetness to it. Very unique. My husband wished he picked a different burger. The one he chose had pulled prime rib on top, and he felt its flavor clashed with the burger. The burger itself was cooked to order and had great flavor. My only regret was the calamari. The squid had a good texture but the batter was too salty, and the sriracha aioli tasted more lemony than the lemon aioli. The color was there, but I didn't pick up on the flavor or heat of sriracha. I liked the lemon aioli with my truffle fries, though. I enjoyed my Old Fashioned. My husband stuck with water since he already had a beer at the game we attended earlier. Inside the Casino on the second floor, you can walk in here without entering the casino. You will smell the smoke though. Same air vents it seems. Bad design plan, just sayin'. Walking in there is a huge beautiful bar. It's a marvelous bar to sit at. You can eat there if you like. Or go outside on their great balcony area. Nice views. Comfortable seating. Or of course eat in the restaurant area. Tables and booths are both comfy. I've never had bad service here. The servers are pleasant and know the menu. The menu has changed recently, showcasing the fish and seafood options more. I tend not to order shellfish, but it always looks good when others do. I stick to the meat side and haven't been disappointed. They carry a selection of local beers too. I've found one or two I've gone on to buy myself. Love that local support. Easy free parking. *detracting a star for the smoke. Not sure how you fix it, but could well be worth the effort. I have gone here a few times for Sunday Brunch ! My biggest complaint would be the strong smoke smell. This restaurant is upstairs at the Seneca Casino downtown but I have never seen anyone smoking but the smell is extremely strong. But on to the experience. .... Wait staff is great! However, if you want to take advantage of the bottomless mimosas you have to REALLY remind them or you won't get refills quick at all. This is a buffet style brunch featuring fresh shrimp cocktail, various pastries, a crepe bar with made to order selections, scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, fresh fruit and of course much more. Checked out the late night menu, not much variety but the food overall was pretty good. Way better than the food you get in the rest of the casino. The flatbread was pretty tasty with chorizo, the Caesar salad was pretty basic, however the chicken was very good and the added anchovies were a nice touch. We went to the WD Bar and Grill before a concert at the big stadium in Buffalo. They had a really beautiful patio, but that night the weather wasn't great so we didn't sit there. We sat indoors. The menu had lots of different price point options which I was glad about. They served a variety of bread with different toppings which were all very good. I ordered a steak frites sandwich and my friend ordered the beef stroganoff which was fancier than a normal one and actually had little pickles in it. Both were very good. Only problem was we couldn't take leftover since we were going to the concert and it was a hot day. We both ordered drinks which were pretty good. The service was nice. Check it out. One of the highlights was actually a side- their Mashhad potatoes were much better than anticipated! It was cooked with garlic and onions, and my taste buds were immediately sent into a frenzy. Another highlight was the siracha aioli that was paired with with cocktail shrimp ... MUCH better option than the traditional cocktail sauce. They also have this surprisingly good chip and dip appetizer, with this dill dip ... yes Lord! Not only is the food A1, the drinks were equally awesome. The WD has an ice variety of classic mixed drinks, as well as a nice selection of specialty ones as well. The vibe is much better on the patio, by the open fire pits and VIP style sectionals. Having been to this place because of a Yelp event - I couldn't wait to return with my wife. Like I thought - they must always treat people right, because the service was great - the selection was fantastic and the taste - MMMMMMMM - this will surely be a place we return to! First of all - the parking is free - though at times it might be tough to find a spot - I have yet to have that problem after two trips here! There was an omlet station, home fries, sausage and bacon for breakfast options. More of lunch with the prime rib or ham carving stations, buffalo chicken fingers and a salad bar. There were a very snack options such as a cheese and cracker platter, baguettes with a few spreads and shrimp( I didn't try). We first arrived WD and had to wait even though the dining area had open tables... we then waited more than a few minutes for our server to arrive. This is no buffet... don't let the "Casino" fool you into thinking this isn't a top steakhouse. This is my 2nd time here and now will be a must stop every time I'm back in town. This time I kept it real simple, just took a seat at the bar and got the House burger - cooked perfect and topped with goat cheese and a tomato jam (I'm getting hungry thinking about it) and the biggest onion rings on the side. Delicious, but what made the whole meal even better were Zack and Al behind the bar - very easy to talk to, funny and never made anyone wait but still managed to have a conversation with each of us. To cap off the night, since I skipped the strip (steak - it was magic in your mouth but too much food for me this time) I decided to spend a little extra on my drink...Can't beat Pappy! You often don't see this out, so when you do it's hard to pass up... and the presentation the comedic duo behind the bar put on while making the perfect ice sphere for my glass, that was worth the price alone... This has to be hands down the worst restaurant in the Buffalo area. First of all the "host" was more like a TSA agent. Instead of welcoming us to the restaurant he says "I'm gonna need some information from you". The "hostess" was texting on her phone the entire time and looked extremely unpleasant. As many other yelp reviews state, THE SERVER DID NOT INTRODUCE HIMSELF after taking about 20 minutes to come and take our drink order. Then he hastily mumbled what the specials were and disappeared for another 10 minutes. None of the individuals we encountered cracked a smile. We complained to the "manager" and he gave us the driest apology we have ever heard. This restaurant is not a good representation of the Buffalo area at all. If you are traveling here or a local I would recommend just about any other restaurant besides this one. You'll get better service at a fast food joint. read more

Stopped in here for one of their events now that they've partnered with Phillips Seafood. I had the crab stuffed flounder, a salmon in a caper butter sauce and the shrimp cocktail. I loved the crab stuffed flounder, but my boyfriend felt it was too creamy. The salmon was simple but good and the shrimp were a good size. I had a Berry Bliss cocktail and it was delicious, I didn't find it overly sweet. My boyfriend really enjoyed his Old Fashions. We finished with a cheesecake for me (SO GOOD) and a very chocolaty item for him (brownie, chocolate mousse and maybe something else), we were both satisfied. We ate outside, there's a large L shaped patio with a good view of Buffalo Riverworks and the sunset. There's tables and lounge areas as well. I found the staff to all be very friendly and accommodating and overall we really enjoyed our meal and expect to be back. This was a truly wonderful event. As we entered the bar area there was a huge bowl of large shrimp. I gathered several and the cocktail sauce as I ordered a drink at the bar. The female bartender was busy taking care of several customers but greeted all with a smile and great demeanor. It was impressive. The choice of various drinks was plentiful. We got our drinks and found a seat. The shrimp was excellent and called us back for a few more. We got in line for the food tastings. There were several in line from salad to an amazing piece of salmon, cod with crab meat and a nice fillet. All of the food was delicious and well prepared. Even though the salmon was a generous size I had to go back for another. At last there was dessert. A chocolate and whipped cream that was very nice. The prime rib sliders were delicious! The meat was perfectly cooked on soft bread with the jus for dipping on the side. Would recommend this dish for sure! Drinks were very good and so was dessert. We got creme brûlée. We were celebrating a birthday and the birthday boy got a free dessert with happy birthday written on it. Very nice of them to do this!
