I've passed by this restaurant many times and have always wanted to try it. We finally did. We took my dad out to celebrate his birthday. We arrived about 15 minutes early, so our table wasn't ready yet. So we headed to the bar to get some drinks. Michelle was tending bar and she was so nice, making sure everyone at the bar had room and the drinks they wanted. She made us feel like we were treasured customers. The place is cozy. Once our table was ready, we sat down and they brought out special birthday decorations and napkins for my dad's birthday. Our server Michelle was amazing! Attentive and super funny. She made sure we had everything we wanted, the way we wanted. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Even making the reservation, we felt like family. read more

Me and my son originally went somewhere a quarter mile up the street for dinner. But I could tell quickly we were not going to get the experience we were looking for and decided to leave and come here instead - so glad I made this choice because we loved our experience here! The ambience was extremely cozy; dim lighting and dark colors, adorned with some Valentines decor for the upcoming holiday! You can dine at a table or take a seat at the bar. You can also make reservations ahead of time. Speaking of Valentines Day, they are taking reservations for this as well! We were served by our waitress Kelly (I think that was her name). She was really wonderful and friendly and personable. She took good care of us, truly! Collectively, we had bread and cornbread (this had a hint of cinnamon and was fantastic! We asked for more!), house salad with peppercorn dressing (delicious homemade croutons!), seafood bisque (rich and flavorful), homemade mashed potatoes with gravy on the side (super yum! 2 scoops! You can have gravy on top instead or opt for melted butter), Cajun shrimp alfredo, and bbq ribs. Everything was outstanding! We look forward to coming back again someday! A great spot for a wonderful prime rib. They have a Wednesday night dinner special for two as well, which is worth the $65. You get a lot. Very comfortable atmosphere and a "home-cooked meal" feeling. The stuffed peppers are probably the best I have ever had ! Give it a try. read more

I'll start by saying our waitress was great. Food not so much. The beef in the Tenderloin Tips Alfredo was very tender, but the Alfredo sauce was really lousy, no flavor at all. Our server told us the ribs were fall- off-the-bone, but that was hardly the case. The suggested gratuity printed on the bill was calculated on the AFTER TAX total, which is not proper and I find annoying. I brought my 22 year-old son and 14 year-old daughter for dinner one night. Collectively all three of us may have been the youngest person there! That aside, the owner was very nice and accommodating to us. We had to wait a little-bit, but it was just fine. The ambience there is classic. I had been there years before, but it's typically a place where grown-ups go. Very active bar. I was inspired to order a cocktail and ended up with a bucket of bourbon! I forgot they do "heavy pours" here. Which is always a plus! I believe I had a fish special, and my son had a steak, and my daughter had a hamburger. Everything was very good. I wanna go back soon. Out with my grad school roommate, this is one of those joints that is very common in the Buffalo metro....lots of older folks, comfy, lots of wood in the main bar (not mahogany), mostly comfort foods including beef on weck (which I had...quite good). The seafood chowder was the sleeper here...even for this New England raised kid. Beer prices are classically Buffalo (aka..cheap). For those who might know...its sort of a clusterbleep between this place, Glen Park Tavern, and the Eagle House....same idea in all of them. read more

My mother and I came here for this past Mother's Day, the staff and owner was very friendly and sat us down even thought they were booked for a birthday party . Plain n simple this was a meat n potato kind of place which I like straight to the point.I enjoyed my meal everything was good only complaint I had was that my medium rare prime rib was seared which kept it from drowning in all its juices but other than that meal was on point and now wider they been around for decades. read more

My son took me here for my Mother's Day, I found the restaurant to be dark and dated just like the staff. Everyone was super nice and very welcoming. We ordered wine and beer, The Prime Rib had a good taste. It looked like it was reheated, which made my med rare meat darker and a little bit tough. The loaded baked potatoes were ok. You had to look for the cheese. The sour cream came out in little containers. The 2 small pieces of cinnamon cornbread were good, but it was cold, and you got 2 small pieces of Italian bread, nothing special. I enjoyed my house salad.. Made an Impromptu decision to go out to eat for a Monday night date night. Called ahead to insure a table. Greeted and seated promptly. Monday special had the 8oz burger cooked and dressed to perfection. Delicious! French onion soup - outstanding! Side order of onion rings- magnificently golden and crunchy! The restaurant is a little dated and tables are close together. The menu has lots to offer for any appetite. The cornbread they bring out to start is so flavourful. Had to get the stuffed peppers and they didn't have much of a kick to them. The artichoke francaise was kind of tasteless and blah. Clams casino came out crispy and tasty. The biggest surprise was the garlic parm wings. They were crispy and full of flavour. Their mushroom and french onion soup were ok as soups go. The prime rib was huge and cooked perfectly. Would steer away from the salmon very dry. They raved about the goulash and we thought it was just ok. The service was ok they were very busy and took awhile to get drinks from the bar. read more

Great service convenient location really good food. We have an old-school restaurant from when I was a kid in the 60s growing up in Buffalo.

The waitress we got, ELLEN, is the worst waitress in the Buffalo area. Terrible terrible attitude- a truly mean, terrible person. In general, service is very slow. Ellen took our order, then gave to table over to another waitress, thankfully. This waitress brought apps over quickly. Fried artichokes and ribs. Just OK. We ordered a strip steak, filet, and salmon -the salmon was inedible and we sent it back and they took it off the bill. All in all don't order seafood in a steak restaurant I guess. The waitress that took over -named Mercedes -was very good and she was apoplectic about the salmon. She also comped a dessert. read more

first restaurant review- this place is worthy! Visited Buffalo and enjoyed this hidden gem- took us back to how restaurants used to be- simply delicious and inviting! Welcomed by the owner wearing a nice suit/Sinatra vibe (who also sets the tables with linens). The bar was jammed packed as we waited for our reserved seats. Greeted warmly by a friendly female wait staff named Gabe. We enjoyed hearty meals which included homemade breads, hearty soups, salads and delish ribeyes, fish, tenderloin Alfredo. Appetizer cold, steak cold-then nuked. Service attentive. Not the Adam's Rib I knew. Steak was very tender but not seasoned at all. When I sent it back my two token onion rings disappeared. We were in Buffalo, NY for this weekend.Located on Route 5 in Amherst. Oops we were corrected that it's Snyder, NY, just over the line from Amherst. A 50 year old restaurant serving prime rib, steak, & seafood. We had dinner here on Fri 6/09/23 around 5pm. Found seats at the bar. Kevin was the bartender who is obviously well known and well liked in this neighborhood favorite drink spot. Clientele was a mix of folks playing the 19th hole and people ending their work week. Place filled up quickly after 5:30pm. We opted for for two fish dinners: Florentine Whitefish baked w/ sautéed Spinach & Artichokes finished with Scampi Sauce & Romano $22. and the broiled Cajun Haddock w/ rice & cole slaw $22. Both were served hot, generous portions, and very tasty. We felt this was a very good value for two wines, two beers & two dinners ($68). Service was top shelf. Good luck getting a reservation. I called the listed number on their web site at 4 PM for a 6 PM reservation. I get a voice mail saying he takes calls for Adam's Rib, leave a detailed message with your number and they will call you back. So I did, said what I wanted for a reservation, gave my name and number twice. Never got a call back. We went over anyway, it was a week night, thinking it may not be busy. Going past the front of the restaurant on Main Street there's a sandwich board that says "Tables available." We go around the back and there's one parking place left. We were in two cars, the rest of our group had to park across the street in the fire hall parking lot. Back entrance is not handicapped accessible. Fortunately the one of our group in a wheel chair can do a few stairs. Back entrance hallway is terribly narrow, especially with a wheel chair. We are finally greeted and I gave my name and said I had called for a reservation. "Did you get a call back?" I am asked. No. "You need that call back." OK, but how am I supposed to know that. Place is packed, we are told they have no availability (despite the sign board out front saying 'tables available') so we said we'd leave. "Hope you can try again," we are told. Fat chance. Back out the narrow hallway with a wheel chair and then have to climb the stairs. We won't be back. read more

1/29/24 dinner. This was a Monday, I thought we'd give it a try. Never been here before. We showed up around 6:00 with no reservations. To my surprise, this place was packed! Monday night, packed. We're told an 1 hr wait, it turned out to be 30 minutes. Drinks were a Beefeater martini and a Southern Comfort Manhattan. Excellent! Bar tender was excellent. So good, we ordered another round. Monday is hamburger special night. Both burgers were cooked perfectly! Came with fried and Cole slaw. All for $12. Good parking in rear. Service was excellent. Ambience was excellent. It is older but has a nice charm and warmth. We will return . read more

Well, we went to the place for dinner was not a very good experience for the second time don't see how they got this good star review we sat at the bar bartender was amazing !we got to the table and they were so close. It was very uncomfortable. Park benches are probably more comfortable than the chairs were our food came steaks were not properly cooked. Had to send mine back twice owner came out said he would take $20 off our $400 bill. I was told to eat my lobster and my steak would come out when it was ready, I do not recommend this place at all and this is my second experience so again I don't know how they got so many stars I could see they probably have a good crowd, but as far as food service and owners capabilities of making his patrons satisfied and comfortable....... terrible. read more

I rarely give reviews. My friend and I went to Adams rib for the first time. It was a Tuesday at 6. The restaurant was packed and we were fortunate to have one of the last tables. Who thought we would need reservations? From the time we walked in to the time we left we felt like royalty. That being said, we ordered the artichokes Francais. It was accompanied by cinnamon cornbread( yummy). And Italian fresh bread. We ordered the petite prime rib with salad and side. It was delicious. I am not related to the people that own this restaurant, but I have to say, for having Adams Rib first time experience I can't wait to go back! read more

YES!!! A Restaurant Week winner! I could not be happier with my choice of this long established Snyder restaurant. It was warm, intimate, and yes a tad dated but a great location for quiet whispered conversations. It took a minute to set up the table but service was outstanding all night! If they were hoping to use RESTAURANT WEEK to develop repeat customers they were doing a good job. I went off the 20.16 menu for the French Onion soup. Adam or whoever is in the kitchen delivered on the soup. Just the right amount of delicious tasting cheese melted over an oniony broth whose creation in-house was evident by the bay leaf I discovered (no complaint). For the main course I ordered the Snyder Whitefish with crab in a red pepper remoulade with mashed potatoes (I said yes to the gravy :-)). The presentation had my mouth watering! The gravy was nearly hidden in a mini silver pitcher. The rolled white fish was cooked perfectly and was deliciously fresh. In combination with the crab and remoulade it is a dish I would order again! The mashed were generous and the gravy had a nice meaty flavor. I was looking forward to eating here during Restaurant Week. I order the 12 Oz Prime Rib for 30.18. The meal came and the meat was 30% fat and it definitely was not 12 Oz. I think they made a mistake and gave me the 8 Oz which comes with the 20.18 meal. A gentleman across from us,who is a regular,had the 16oz and agreed with me that mine probably wasn't even 8oz. The waitress shrugged her head and said prime rib has a lot of fat and it was 12oz. The manager asked how are meals were and I voiced my concerns and I got an oh well. Nothing makes me madder when they ask how your meal is and they make no attempt to satisfy a customer. Why ask?
