Went here with my friend that has eaten here before. The place is large with plenty of seating and spacious of parking outside. There is a bar to get drinks, There were a few customers as we came at lunch time. I ordered a ham and grill cheese sandwich that included potato chips and a pickle while my friend had a chicken sandwich with chips (we didn't like the chips). We came here on a Wednesday night at 6:30 pm. There was a 20 minute wait for a table, so we decided to sit at the bar. The female bartender was very busy, but still managed to get us a couple of drinks and menus. The beer I ordered, EBC Blueberry, was flat, but there was no way I was going to be able to get the bartender's attention to switch to something else. My husband ordered a hard cider, but one couldn't be located. He ordered a mixed drink, and was surprised at the price. We ordered a julienne salad and a meatball sub. Both were good, but not great. First time at joeys on a whim ended up being such a pleasant dinner! The place is nice with a bar area and large dining room. We loved our food. A perfect wedge salad and my Husband enjoyed his Milanese. Lots of customizing options for sides. Don't sleep on those onion rings! First time here went with friends for dinner. Very nice atmosphere, wonderful waitress, and very good food. My husband got the chicken fingers and I got the Greek salad with chicken. Both were very good and plentiful. One of our friends got the scallops which were also a hit a place was packed and that says just about enough for its popularity. I went with my wife and my friends. I ordered the chicken finger meal. I ordered it medium hot. The fingers were nicely sized and came hot and juicy. The medium flavor was slightly hotter than I expected but was acceptable. I enjoyed the meal and even took some home. We all enjoyed our selections and will return another time. Went to Joey's place on ordered chicken Parmesan as we have in the past and it was good. This time mine was overcooked my husband's was burnt to a crisp. There was no sauce on either entrée we had to ask for spaghetti sauce. We asked for bread we were told they didn't serve bread until dinner time so we were giving hamburger rolls. It was 3 PM in the afternoon. Thought it was bizarre that an Italian restaurant that serves pasta all day, but has no bread until dinner time? I was overcharged for My wine was told the wine menu was old and there was a price increase than why have the old menu on the table and at least charge your advertised amount on the menu. Asked speak with Joey the owner told he would be right over after waiting asked to talk to Joey again waitress then told us he was taking a nap, seriously?? at this point we were so disgusted paid our check and left. My wife and I typically visit Joey's once a week to see our favorite bartender. She is amazing. We dont even get to sit down at the bar, and our drinks are in front of us. LOVE HER!! Unfortunately, we have tried the dining room service twice in less than a year, and it is terrible. Tonight, was by far the worst. We had family in from Florida and Colorado. It was our recommendation to take them to Joey's because 6 out of 8 of us wanted to order beef on weck. When the server finally took our order, I was the second person to order. I told her I wanted beef on wech. She immediately said, "Im sorry. We are out of prime Rib and beef on weck. They should have told you when you came in." We asked the waitress for a few more minutes so we could all regroup. When she returned, we all placed our orders. After 90 minutes from sitting at the table, our dinners came out, 2 plates at a time. My father's food was cold. My Buffalo chicken sandwich and fries were cold. My Great Aunt ordered a salad and she was served last. Really? When we asked where the owner Joey was, we were told, "Joey isn't here very much anymore. Thats why we are out of beef on weck and prime Rib." The staff discounted a few dinner and drinks because the food was cold and service was slow. What I will say, is I usually do not post things like this about poor restaurant experiences. The reason I did is because I care about this place, and the staff, and to hear leadership is neglecting the business, and patrons are suffering, concerns me greatly. If Joey doesn't see this post, but someone from his staff sees this post, do us both a favor. It reminded me of a Greek restaurant with so many dishes but with the core menu being Italian. Friday night and the place was zooming! We were lucky and had a table for 2 right away, after that the waiting list started. Our waitress was very nice and fast. I decided to have the Friday only beer battered fish fry. It is a huge piece of fish and comes with macaroni salad, Cole Slaw and a choice of potatoes. I picked the German potato salad. Great sweet sauce surrounded the pile of noodles, meat, and cheese that make this a wise choice.
