Staff was nonexistent throughout the majority of our visit... just between 2 waitresses (more were working) we received attitude while being seated, were not given menus, given incorrect drinks (lemonade and sweet/iced tea), and overcharged due to apparent lack of caring and/or mathematical skills. We are from out of the area after a long day of driving I consulted Yelp. Mandy's had the best reviews and was close to the hotel. Well it was Fantastic! First, driving up, if I hadn't consulted Yelp I might not have thought to stop there. The look of the bar might be misleading. It's clean but it's no frills. But the menu... the menu deserves tablecloths. It is clever and unusual and most importantly delicious! We ordered the Shrimp Cargo, Hot Pepper Pancakes, Filet Sliders and Shrimp&Bacon quesadillas. The bartender also was the waitress and she was so sweet, patient and attentive. We had a lot of questions. Our food came quickly and was hot and perfectly prepared. This place is a hidden gem on Clinton Street in West Seneca. I hadn't been here in about 15 years. It looked so nice on the inside, although the floors were a bit sticky in the bathroom. Unfortunately, this place is CASH ONLY!!! Today was my Dad's 70th birthday though and he really wanted to come here. (My parents come here once a week when they run a $5 sandwich special.) My dad ordered a bowl of Manhattan Clam Chowder and my mom ordered a burger well done, which didn't come with fries or anything. I ordered a bowl of French onion soup and the shrimp and bacon quesadillas. I also ordered fries for the table. My mom had coffee. I had Diet Pepsi. My dad had ginger ale. I had never heard of shrimp and bacon quesadillas. They were really good. The waitress was really nice! They have a small tight parking lot but I'm really glad that I came here today. This place is a local favorite. Not only is their food amazing, the service is top notch, and the owners are almost always there to ensure everything is running smoothly. They have a dart board, jukebox, popcorn, outdoor patio, large bar area, and dining area. The most recent time I was here was for a banquet, so we had the whole dining room to ourselves. They served salad with a ranch & creamy Italian dressing mix (so good), raviolis, broccoli pasta alfredo, and chicken parm. Everything was so good, we all had to go up for seconds! This time I just wanted iced tea , my wife had a 2beers , looked at bill was billed twice for iced tea , I said miss you billed me twice for my iced tea , was told we ate told to charge for every iced tea or soda ... now I get a 10oz iced tea 6oz filled with ice , got 2 which equates to 8oz. if iced tea for $6 and tax ... Believe me no cheapskate here , still left a $25% tip , but thought that was a little cheap and audacious to milk someone for a fountain drink , when the fish was $17 ... My favorite "hole in the wall" bar. The staff are hilarious, and the owner Mary is amazing. The food is out of this world! The hot pepper cakes are an original/one of a kind and a must order. The drinks are unbelievable cheap and you can literally spend all night there for a cheap night. I enjoy the touch tunes and everyone is pretty cool about giving turns and they play a good mix of music. I've been on the patio which was a nice hangout on a warm summer night. I was debating between 3 and 4 stars, I'm going to go with 3 for one reason which I will explain below. Anyhow, it was beautiful day and we wanted to go out to someplace with patio dining. We settled on Mandy's after having a pretty good experience there in the winter. The patio itself is hidden by a fence when you drive by so you unless you have been here, you wouldn't know it was there. Which is fine because who wants to stare at traffic on Clinton St. when they are eating? There was a full size outdoor bar as well and our server was very efficient. I decided on a breaded fish fry and my wife chose the beer battered fish fry. The strange thing about this was that they brought out the pasta salad and coleslaw before the fish fry. That in itself was not a problem, but they were both served at what seemed like room temperature. I was reluctant to eat food containing mayo that was not properly chilled or refrigerated, especially outdoors on a hot summer day. The salads were homemade, and would have been very good if adequately chilled, but I could not finish them for fear of getting sick. I deducted a star in my rating for this reason. But the fish fries were both excellent. The haddock was flaky and moist. My breaded batter had just the right amount of crunch. The hand cut fries were also very good, although I felt that we had the bottom of the batch because the ones we had were kind of broken into small pieces. But the flavor of the fries was very good. I know that we will be back but I hope that the lack of refrigeration of the side salads was an anomaly. The prices are very reasonable. read more

Love this place. First experience was for a baby shower. Food was outstanding. Pork chops, pasta, mashed potatoes, salad and lots more. The hostess/server Karen was absolutely the best. Could not ask for any one more friendly, exciting and accomodating. Fast forward....I have been back there 4 times since (and it's a 20/25 min ride from home). We were so fortunate to meet the proprietor, Mary. She is the best!! She made it s point to say hello to us and chat for a bit. That is pure hospitality that doesn't exist at too many places anymore. But, then again, Mandy's has been around for 30+years. This is a real hidden gem and very unassuming when driving by. But do yourself a favor and stop inside to give it a try. We live down the street from Mandy's and enjoy coming here in the summer time. We have been here many times in the past. They have a nice outdoor patio with a bar. Today we were able to enjoy the sunshine and patio! The only reason I'm rating Mandy's a 3 is for two reasons. One, I had ordered an EBC blueberry beer, and received an IPA. I drank it anyway although I don't care for IPA's. Another reason I'm rating Mandy's a 3 is because once we received menus, they had a pretty decent wing option list. My boyfriend wanted to order the garlic Parmesan wings, just to find out that they did not serve wings on Friday's because they have the fish fry instead. This was not stated on the menu so he was disappointed. (Although the fish fry here is good!) We ended up sharing the Shrimp dinner which worked out fine because it was a large dish. Overall, we will absolutely be returning to Mandy's and it's worth checking out if you're in the West Seneca area! read more

This is the nosiest bar and restaurant that you will ever be in. I don't mind loud, but this is deafening. Really. You cannot hear yourself talk in the bar area while waiting for a table. Low ceiling and no sound buffers to deaden the unreal loudness of the place. Once in the restaurant, it is not much better on how loud this place is. Everyone seems to be shouting while talking and it is like being at a NFL football game while trying to eat and talk. Food was good and service OK. An unexpected find! We were initially unimpressed with the menu as it seemed a little basic. We also saw once we sat down it was cash only which caused us to slightly panic wondering if we actually had cash. My partner got the cowboy burger while I got the homemade chicken strips with hand cut fries. I was a little surprised the burger didn't come with a side but my chicken fingers came with half of an entire platter so there was easily enough for the two of us. The burger was handmade; thick and juicy with a delicious homemade looking bun. My chicken strips were juicy with just the right amount of breading. The portions were HUGE! My partner and I could have easily split the platter. Overall a great value with delicious food. Service was really friendly too! My only recommendation is to maybe put a sign on the inside door about the cash only? Although this place seems to be a local favorite so I am sure the regulars know the deal. read more

GREAT FOOD!! This is one of my favorite place to eat. It's a local bar in the town of West Seneca. I love there food. The owner prepare the food and sometimes even cook the food. When I go I can never decided on what to eat. I love the fried provolone cheese, bourbon bits, chicken sandwich, bacon blue hamburger or fresh cut fries and they have a lot more. Amazing! They are all so friendly! While I was there I was introduced to all of the bartenders and one of the owners, a really great place. We had the bourbon bites and the shrimp as an app, and those were amaze-balls! And their drinks are delish and cheap. Their Long Island was the best my husbands ever had at only $6.50, and we've never seen it under $8. Mine was a Malibu bay breeze, large glass for only $3.50. We got 2 drinks each, 2 apps, my husbands got wings and I got soup and it was under $40! They said to come back after the game on Sunday because they have tons if specials and $2 drafts!
