The staff was incredibly accommodating and made the whole night feel easy and enjoyable. This was another discovery thanks to the WNY Craft Brew Tour Cards from Habitat for Humanity. I have both pros and cons for my visit here which even out to a solid "Okay". Parking is on the street and I found a spot easily. The front door, not so much. Fourth time is the charm? There are several doors at the front of the building and it isn't any of those. A sign on the sidewalk points down an alleyway (well-lit with pretty lights) and the door is the unmarked one halfway down the alley. I still wasn't sure upon walking in that I was in the right place but fortunately someone greeted me pretty quickly. Menus are QR-code-only so cell phones are a requirement here. (Also... the QR code didn't work and I had to ask for help - basically just go to their website and look up the menu). The menu is on the boring side and fairly small. This is not the place for foodies looking for a unique flavor experience. That being said, my fancy grilled cheese was delicious. I had the "You're Not The Boss Of Me" Hefeweizen. It's decent, not the best I've had, but I was happy with it. (I mean, all Hefes are good, right?) Ambiance: Most seating can see the huge TVs. HUGE TVs. No closed captions (at least not when I was there). Music was a good selection and at a reasonable volume to still have conversations; it's in the background as it should be. Would love to see WNBA games here but they didn't get the right channel (although I really appreciated that they checked for me!). Staff was great - both my server and a person I assume is the manager were friendly and helpful during my whole visit. I went on a weekday evening and it was very quiet, only a few other customers. We had books our ladies auxiliary Christmas party for here way in advance.We started out with appetizers I took the Pierogi. It was two potato and cheddar cheese.Not a big fan of the combination and they were very greasy,plus it took forty minutes to get them.They had no coffee brewed so that took another half hour to get a cup.Then my choice of entee the fishy fry took another forty five minutes. Again it was also very greasy ,came with fries, potato salad and coleslaw slaw.When it came to my favorite part of the night, the desserts we were informed by the waiter that they ran out.How do you run out knowing you had fourteen people booked? This was the venue for fourteen ladies aux members for our Christmas party. I started out with the potato and cheddar cheese two pierogis. The food took forever to come , like forty minutes and it seemed over cooked and very greasy. When I asked for a cup of coffee, I was told that none was made and it had to be brewed.That took a half hour.My fish fry took another forty minutes. It was a huge piece of fish,over cooked and kinda hard.It came with fres, potato salad and slaw.They had two desserts listed on the menu, and I was looking forward to this part of the dining experience. The new server is the reason for the stars. It was her first night waitressing and she was great. The place was very dead on a Sunday evening @6pm. There was only one other group of four in the dining room. The manager that ( always wears a suit) was not friendly WhATSoEver. In fact, he started to bring out our food. He went up to the table next to us ( Who VEErrY clearly had their food) already. So I quickly waved a little and announced that it was our table. Clearly noticing my turkey wrap an arms distance away. He literally did not believe me I suppose, since the Manager ignored me a second time and turned walking the food back into kitchen. AWKWARD There was no one else in the restaurant besides the table that had their food, and our table of four. He read back on kitchen note, that it was indeed ours. Manager never apologized or said anything like "Sorry about that", he just looked at us like a deer in headlights while delivering our food. A return trip to a neighborhood favorite. I arrived just as dining was kicking off and was immediately greeted by the staff, grabbed a seat at the bar and put in an order for some wings a cold pint of the Lovejoy lager, which really hit the spot. Frosty cold and light on flavor. The food came out quick and immediately I had the scent of those wings hitting my nose as the plate was placed in front of me. They were of average size but perfectly sauced and cooked. Most times I struggle to put a single order of 10 down. These were a breeze. Cool historic space in Lovejoy. I've heard about this spot and was finally able to stop in. First of all the front bar is original and has been preserved and restored but still feels unique and vintage. Behind that is indoor seating for dining and it's gorgeous! I love that this spot is inside of a house within a neighborhood. It feels so different yet perfectly placed within the area. They also have a huge outdoor patio with a great mural and spot for music in warmer weather. The staff here was so welcoming and helpful with menu questions. Lots of good drink options. We decided to try this place out because it is on the New York beer trail. I was very happy to have stopped here and try it out because it didn't disappoint. We visited this evening as they were in our WNY Beer Trail pass. The ambience is very nice, the food was very good, and the beers and margaritas were delicious. The happy hour specials were really affordable. Sports are televised in the dining room. The bar is beautiful with really nice furniture. Kathy, one of the servers, is a great historian about the restaurant and the neighborhood. She was delightful and interesting. The staff there was very friendly. Buffalo Olde Brewery has a beautiful space! Inside, there's a bar area at the front of the building that includes historic framed photos and news articles about the space. There's also two levels of seating to dine in, and a small gift shop upstairs with mugs, pint glasses, and more. Although we came in November, we saw that they have a spacious outdoor area behind the building, so I'd love to come back in the summer! I came on a brew tour so I didn't have any food, just the Pumpkinheimer beer which was absolutely delicious! They also fill growlers and crowlers, so I got a crowler of the Pumpkinheimer to go and appreciated it had a cap. In addition to great beers on tap, they also have several bottles of wines in a wine preservation system, as well as cocktails. Really great atmosphere and service here! Our bartender was attentive, friendly, and got our drinks quickly. I'd love to come back for food one day since their menu looked fantastic! read more

The olde brewery opened somewhere in the beginning of 2023. The facade still looks like the facade from a century ago. The inside is a mix of the old looks and a modern design. Just check the pictures on the wall from pre-prohibition. They have a big patio in the back with live music in the summer months. There is also a big upstairs room for private parties. I was there with a number of friends and the manager, Thomas, offered us a short tour to the brewery in the building right next door. The freshly brewed beer goes into storage tanks and then strait to the taps. No kegs, just pipe lines. At the moment parking in the area is a bit of a problem, but they are working on that. I travel to the area a lot for work and am always looking for new things to try. I came across this spot, and considering Tuesday nights are usually pretty quiet, I was glad to see they were open. We came in at dinner and it was pretty quiet, not a lot of customers. We sat on the patio which is FANTASTIC. So pretty, clean, and adorable. Even being outside, we had a great server all night. Austin is great at what he does! He was helpful, kind, and patient with us all night. I had a ceaser salad with chicken which was so delicious and then the peanut butter cake for dinner which WOAH. The girlfriend took me here for my bday after seeing the reviews and seeing it was a relatively new brewery pretty close to us with some serious food. We were greeted before even getting to the door, we decided to sit in the back patio dining area. I honestly forgot what beer I got but i know I enjoyed it lol. My gf got one of their specially crafted mocktails and that was delicious(I had a couple sips to try myself) she ordered the peanut lime bowl and I had their burger which was a blend of a lot of bison, elk and something else. So glad we try new places! My husband read about this fairly new restaurant/brewery, which has only been open for a little over a year. We were so overly impressed when we walked into this beautifully renovated building. The staff was amazing and friendly. We had nice chats with a few of them as they were passing by and checking in on us. We elected to sit inside, but did make sure to explore the patio and upstairs. It is beautiful inside and out. Make sure to check out the photos. The patio is massive and the seating is so inviting for eating and perfect for larger groups. There is a stage for bands and I've heard for karaoke night too! We enjoyed the brunch menu and had a scramble bowl and their pancakes. Both were good and we can't wait to go back to try the frittatas and some of the dinner items we saw. I know the neighborhood is experiencing the beginnings of revitalization, but you have to start somewhere and I think this may be it. So worth a try as we really loved it. Had the chance to meet some friends and fam out to check out this new brewery in the LoveJoy area. They offer brunch on Sunday so that was a bonus. Every single staff member was so friendly when we arrived! We sat at the bar it's a very nice space a bit small but comfortable. They have a lovely outdoor seating area too as well as dining seating inside and upstairs. Matty our bartender was super accommodating he made some of the best watermelon tequila drinks I've had in a while. My friends stuck to cocktails, I moved on to beer. We all LOVED this place! It is absolutely gorgeous. Tasteful and classy, with lots of its rich history preserved. Excellent job, folks. We were planning on sitting outside on their beautiful patio, but it was just way too hot. Next time. And every single person we encountered was so freakin' nice. This must be a great place to work for everyone to be so darn happy. Service was a tad slow, but it was a busy day and we were enjoying ourselves too much for that to matter. Their menu promises "Refined Dining, with some of Buffalo's Classics Interspersed", and they most certainly deliver. The stuffed peppers weren't what I'm used to, but they were still good. I felt the shavings of cheddar on top were unnecessary, but didn't detract. (Side note: the leftover pepper I took home got chopped up and tossed with pasta the next day for dinner. The cream cheese filling turned into a tasty, melty sauce. Yum.) Chunky marinara sauce underneath actually tasted of fresh tomato. Rave reviews for the burgers and one of the steak sandwiches. Strangely, the other was tough and chewy, but quickly replaced by a much better turkey wrap with many apologies. I am now officially a truffle fry addict. Truffle oil isn't everyone's cup of tea, but B.O.B. does it right. Too much truffle and you don't taste fries anymore. Not enough and why bother. These were just right. Garlic mayo on the side was good too. Prices for both food and beverages were more than fair. Many thoughtful touches, like the $3 4-ounce beer samples, wide variety of protein additions for the salads and mac and cheese, and legit bar munchies like marinated olives and a cheeseboard. But the biggest surprise of the day was this self-professed wino ordering a beer. (Two to be exact.) Lovejoy lager. Not hazy, not sour, not hoppy, not fruity, not malty. Just "beer flavored beer". Thank you! I can't wait to get back to this place. Lots more intriguing menu items to try, not to mention Sunday brunch. You'd be doing yourself a great disservice to not visit Buffalo Olde Brewery. Husband went inside to the bar for drinks. Another group sat at a table next to us. A waitress came to them and said they should have seen hostess to seat them, but she waited on them anyway.
