So glad we try new places! My husband read about this fairly new restaurant/brewery, which has only been open for a little over a year. We were so overly impressed when we walked into this beautifully renovated building. The staff was amazing and friendly. We had nice chats with a few of them as they were passing by and checking in on us. We elected to sit inside, but did make sure to explore the patio and upstairs. It is beautiful inside and out. Make sure to check out the photos. The patio is massive and the seating is so inviting for eating and perfect for larger groups. There is a stage for bands and I've heard for karaoke night too! We enjoyed the brunch menu and had a scramble bowl and their pancakes. Both were good and we can't wait to go back to try the frittatas and some of the dinner items we saw. I know the neighborhood is experiencing the beginnings of revitalization, but you have to start somewhere and I think this may be it. So worth a try as we really loved it. Had the chance to meet some friends and fam out to check out this new brewery in the LoveJoy area. They offer brunch on Sunday so that was a bonus. Every single staff member was so friendly when we arrived! We sat at the bar it's a very nice space a bit small but comfortable. They have a lovely outdoor seating area too as well as dining seating inside and upstairs. Matty our bartender was super accommodating he made some of the best watermelon tequila drinks I've had in a while. My friends stuck to cocktails, I moved on to beer. I tried 4 from what was on the board. Every. Single. One. Phenomenal! The assortment of food we ordered- something from each menu stellar! You can taste the thought that went into the menu. We all LOVED this place! It is absolutely gorgeous. Tasteful and classy, with lots of its rich history preserved. Excellent job, folks. We were planning on sitting outside on their beautiful patio, but it was just way too hot. Next time. And every single person we encountered was so freakin' nice. This must be a great place to work for everyone to be so darn happy. Service was a tad slow, but it was a busy day and we were enjoying ourselves too much for that to matter. Their menu promises "Refined Dining, with some of Buffalo's Classics Interspersed", and they most certainly deliver. The stuffed peppers weren't what I'm used to, but they were still good. I felt the shavings of cheddar on top were unnecessary, but didn't detract. (Side note: the leftover pepper I took home got chopped up and tossed with pasta the next day for dinner. The cream cheese filling turned into a tasty, melty sauce. Yum.) Chunky marinara sauce underneath actually tasted of fresh tomato. Rave reviews for the burgers and one of the steak sandwiches. Strangely, the other was tough and chewy, but quickly replaced by a much better turkey wrap with many apologies. I am now officially a truffle fry addict. Truffle oil isn't everyone's cup of tea, but B.O.B. does it right. Too much truffle and you don't taste fries anymore. Not enough and why bother. These were just right. Garlic mayo on the side was good too. Prices for both food and beverages were more than fair. Many thoughtful touches, like the $3 4-ounce beer samples, wide variety of protein additions for the salads and mac and cheese, and legit bar munchies like marinated olives and a cheeseboard. But the biggest surprise of the day was this self-professed wino ordering a beer. (Two to be exact.) Lovejoy lager. Not hazy, not sour, not hoppy, not fruity, not malty. Just "beer flavored beer". Thank you! I can't wait to get back to this place. Lots more intriguing menu items to try, not to mention Sunday brunch. You'd be doing yourself a great disservice to not visit Buffalo Olde Brewery. My husband and I stopped by on Saturday night around 7:30. The band was playing on the patio, we found a table and sat ourselves. There were several waiters, but everyone ignored us. Husband went inside to the bar for drinks. Another group sat at a table next to us. A waitress came to them and said they should have seen hostess to seat them, but she waited on them anyway. We looked at menu and saw a couple things I would have liked to order. The table next to us got some food that looked very good! I came to this brewery twice in the last month. Once, three weeks ago, was for a friend's birthday. The other instance was two weeks ago, for a date night with my boyfriend. When I came here about three weeks ago, it was on a Friday night, and it wasn't too busy. We all shared appetizers, ordered food, and desserts. I had a flight of beer on that occasion and it was really good. I shared truffle fries with my three friends and they were really delicious! I had the blueberry burger with macaroni and cheese as a side. They let me choose which kind of cheese I wanted. It was my first time ordering creme brûlée. It was fantastic. The service was really good. When I came here two weeks ago, I got here around 6pm on a Saturday. It was very busy. They were a little unorganized because they weren't sure if they had a waitlist and if anyone was waiting before us. We weren't waiting long before we were seated upstairs. I had an IPA. I ordered the marinated olives appetizer. It was missing a few things in there. The crostini was good though. My boyfriend's peanut lime noodle bowl was way too hot for him. We were assured that it wasn't that hot. I ordered the voodoo pasta. It was bow tie pasta with sliced kielbasa, shrimp, onions, peppers, and house made Cajun alfredo sauce. It was really good and not way too hot (spicy). They had a singer that night (Aaron Ziolkowski) playing downstairs near the entrance. He was really good. Overall, I enjoyed both experiences at this bar on the east side. They've been open since May of last year. Come give them a shot. You'll enjoy the food and service! read more

My friend wanted steak for her birthday and saw this cute newer place had a few on the menu. First impression was my poor 70 year old mom attempting to get in the front door and it was locked. They should put a sign right on it to say you have to use the side door. ( the patrons at the door pointed for her although they could have opened it to let her in). We sat at a high top in the bar and I just really liked the vibe of the place. We ordered some drinks and the pierogi as an appetizer. I don't think they are homemade, as they seemed like dressed up Mrs.T's. We all ordered the iron island steak. This is described on the menu as having a three cord bourbon steak glaze that was absent completely. The poor steak had no flavor at all. On top of it 2/3 of us ordered it medium and they were all well done minus one bite my friend got that was medium. I had asked the waitress what the "seasonal" vegetable was and she basically guess asparagus. She didn't say a word when she delivered our meals with zucchini and squash. I would have had them omit that since I don't like it at all. I substituted my "mashed potatoes" for truffle fries which ended up being the star of the meal for me! My dining companions didn't get mashed potatoes, but rather some boiled baby yellows that I was told were also plain. We had to get some A1 to get through those steaks. We left through that front door nobody would open for my poor Mom. Despite our underwhelming experience we would return to order some bar food, as we all enjoyed the ambiance very much. read more

Our family came to visit from NC & Tennessee two days before the Buffalo Bills game. They wanted to go out for chicken wings! We wanted them to expérience the food & atmosphère @ the Buffalo Olde Brewery. Another couple from our neighborhood came that new all of us! We ordered Chicken Wings, Roast Beef Sandwiches, Mac- Cheese. Those BBQ wings were sticky good! Mac-Cheese was Creamy & the Roast Beef Sandwiches was delicious ! The place is gorgeous, the food is excellent, why go anywhere else. The Buffalo Olde Brewery is a gem you must try. Come on Friday or especially Saturday when they always have a band. read more

What an awesome place! Wife and I along with our two young kids decided this was the place for dinner and a brew while passing through Buffalo based off of the other reviews. Absolutely did not disappoint. The outdoor seating area was so quaint and relaxing. The ambience was designed and set perfectly. There were mosquitos since we came just before dawn but you're gonna have that. The food and beer was great! The honey sriracha wings were cooked perfectly...crispy and tacky. The truffle fries with garlic aioli were to die for. The kids crushed the pierogis and fries as well. The staff was super nice and we had great service the entire meal. We will 100% be stopping back in next time we are in Buffalo. read more

Love trying new local places but my experience here was honestly not it. The service was fine - the waitress was polite and they were understaffed, but I didn't mind the delays in ordering and receiving our meals. And the ambiance was nice too the outdoor private patio was cool just quite a bit of bugs outside. Honestly, my issue was the food and maybe they're just not ready to actually serve brunch yet (plus it took almost an hour to even order it). I went out to brunch with a friend and I ordered the chicken and waffles. The home fries that came with the meal were essentially raw, the chicken was chewy, and the waffles tasted straight out of an Eggo box. My friend got the Duchess' French toast and it was equally as underwhelming. Besides the fact that what set the dish apart from being normal French toast was a raspberry compote (that they ran out of by 12 pm) the French toast itself was just utterly plain. On top of that, the brunch menu they serve is until 3pm and you cannot even order anything else on the menu until that time. Which is fine, I guess, but no where on the menu does it indicate that one of their 6 brunch items is the only thing you can order before 3 it only states brunch is served from until 3, so hopefully you didn't want any appetizers. Overall, very disheartened by this place and the fact that I saw it on Stepout Buffalo makes me question their recommendations. read more

I never thought I would say how beautiful a brewery is, but Buffalo Olde Brewery is the exception. The patio is spacious and has plenty of tables and patio furniture to sit at. There are both hanging and potted plants decorating the patio, and a mural of a herd of Buffalo congregating at a bar wearing local team jerseys. I was even impressed with the glassware our drinks came in. The water glasses have a Buffalo holding a mug of beer, and my Tom's Cooler drink came in an unusual glass with a footed bottom. To eat I had the blueberry burger with waffle fries. The burger even came with a branded bun. The staff couldn't have been any friendlier. We were even told of upcoming events such as bands and football games to watch on the patio. read more

This old building has been brought back to life by the new owner. The Propas family would be very proud. We walked in from the side door, greeted by a very friendly hostess, Kathy. She proceeded to give us a tour and a little history of this building. They have a beautiful patio in the back which is great for summer evenings and a bar music/ live bands. Beer great, wine selection was very good, bourbons selection was broad as well. Back patio was huge and will be awesome in summer with a band. Inside was very well done as well. They just opened in May 2023, and I wish I had found this when weather was nicer. You may not have been to this part of town, but believe me, you will want to try Buffalo olde Brewery. Admittedly, I only stopped here for two drinks in not peak patio weather after work. They had about 10 beers on draft with a variety of options. I don't believe they had any bottled beer options universally offered in Buffalo. My date actually asked what they keep in their numerous bar refrigerators without those usual offerings. Their cocktail list in my opinion was overpriced at $13 or more per drink, give or take. It was a very nicely redone establishment with a patio area that looked great. My bartender was awkward and it just didn't feel like anything jibed together. At their price point I would expect more welcoming service, and more impressive offerings that match the ambiance I presume they're charging more for. read more

This was our second visit for dinner and music by Rockabilly Steve & BR3! The hostess Kathy was warm and welcoming and told us our server was going to be Logan. There was a HUGE table of probably twenty people that had just placed their order before us. Logan apologized several times for the delay with our food. Other staff also came by to check and make sure Logan had taken our order and to apologize for the delay. Having worked in food service earlier in life I could totally understand and kept telling them it was fine. Our food came out and was awesome (pretzel bites and Beef on Weck and later - peanut butter pie (to die for)! We later found it was Logan's very first night as a server - ever! Visited this fine establishment after reading about it on Step Out Buffalo. Traveled in from Syracuse to visit family and wanted to try it this past Saturday afternoon. A very good choice. My wife & I sat out in the courtyard and listened to a band while trying a flight of beers and their wine. A nice selection of beers that I found very tasty. As they were serving Brunch over the holiday weekend, we both had the egg special and found it served perfectly. The bar and restaurant (and bathroom facilities) were all new and very clean, which we appreciate after traveling. This place doesn't deserve anything less than 5 stars all across the board. We have been wanting to go for a few weeks and finally stopped in on a Thursday and we were very impressed. It was rainy outside, so we opted to sit at the bar, but the patio is stunningly done. Nikki, the bartender, was well versed with the cocktail menu so we opted for the espresso martini and a blackberry syrup vodka cocktail. Both were delicious that we ended up ordering a second round. We ordered off the small plates menu and got the truffle fries and the olive board. Not being a huge fan of waffle fries I thought I wouldn't love them but they were crisp, hot and delicious. The garlic dip that comes with an order paired perfectly. The olive board comes with feta and a garlic spread with toasty but soft bread, we loved it. The worst chicken fingers I have ever had. I complained to the staff that they taste freezer burnt and they told me they never freeze them. My order also didn't come with blue cheese as listed on the menu. When I asked the server for blue cheese she said she'd be right back but it never came. The only thing I ate was the french fries.
