I knew they have great beers at Big Ditch, but now I can add great wings! Earlier in the day a FB post reminded me of 75c wings on Mondays, so we decided to make that our dinner plan. Our waitress Kelsey was very friendly and sat down with us while taking our order. She also gave us some extra input of the wing choices. I started with a Kringle Juice, a very nice hazy Holiday IPA. Shortly after, our wings arrived; 1 order of mild Hayburner and 1 of Hot Honey. Both were very good. The hot honey are definitely my favorite, sticky but with a very tasty kick. We got a post on facebook earlier today that Big Ditch has 75 cents wings on Mondays from 3- close, so we decided to have wings for dinner. We ordered 10 of the Hayburner wings, medium heat, and 10 of the Hot Honey wings. We liked them both, but liked the Hot Honey ones more. The wings are served with blu cheese and a few( very few) pieces of celery. Our waitress, Kelsey, was very friendly and answered all of our questions about the menu! I had recalled how much I liked Big Ditch before a show previously so I took my party there again. There were multiple specials which were great. However the server was a bit over the top in checking in on us way too often and am towards the end, being rude! My bf's pizza came out burnt as well, but he didn't want to say anything because that's how he is. The wings I had were crisp and delicious however! read more

Another excellent brewery discovered thanks to the WNY Craft Brew Tour Cards from Habitat for Humanity. I admit, I almost left before sitting down though - the place was absolutely packed with people, very loud, and it was a 30-minute wait for a table. After not too long I was able to snag a seat at the bar and I am very glad that I did. Beer first! I got a seasonal Cinnamon Apple Amber Ale - it is light and flavorful, a beer with almost cidery-notes and a lovely autumn vibe. I would happily get that one again, and there are several more on tap that I want to try. Flights of 5 beers are available for $15 (must get 5 different ones). The food menu has some interesting and creative options and I had a hard time choosing. I went with the poutine and added chopped steak. It's a bit on the saltier side but I think in a good way and it was great with the ale. Plus, the serving is huge! (I brought home leftovers and those vanished pretty quickly too). The people next to me got the tots and nachos, and both plates looked generous and delicious. It's a bit spendy but feels very much worth it here at least for what I saw. Ambiance - the bartenders and hostess were outstanding. Even with the place being very crowded, it was easy to get their attention and I felt well cared for. Restrooms are clean and easy to find with clear signage. There is a little gift shop by the front register / host station if you do brewery keepsakes, want a new hoodie, or want cans of beer to go. For the table seating, they ask for your cell number and text you when your table is ready (so bring your phone!). I was able to find street parking not too far away which is free after 5pm. Some tables have a decent view of the tv's, but the screens are kind of small and no closed captions. There are huge windows that are perfect for watching the weather and city. read more

Came down here for a bite to eat during a meeting so service was dedicated to our party but past experience has always been spot on. Ordered the hot honey wings, they came quickly and were slathered with sauce and had a good crisp to them and quickly too I might add. The wings were A great balance of spicy/sweet and pretty decently sized too. Bleu cheese could have used a little more "chunk" to it imo. The blueberry cobbler sour, was a great beer to pair with this meal. A good mixture of sweet and sour notes with a nice heavy blueberry flavor. read more

Some great wings! I always recommend this place to flight attendants staying overnight in Buffalo. I've never had bad service here. I'm always greeted with a smile and food comes out hot. Service was fast and easy, as soon as we sat down someone greeted us and gave us menus. The beer was ok but they have a lot of IPA's and I'm not a fan of them. They only had one sour which was great bc it was a strawberry and it tasted delicious. My husband and I had the Nashville hot chicken pizza and it was okay but I'm not sure if I would order it again. It didn't have many pieces of chicken and they were large. I think it would have been better with smaller pieces being able to cover more of the pizza. Highly recommend this spot for food and cocktails. I'm not a beer drinker, but their cocktails were really good. The food is also amazing. I have been a fan of big ditch IPA for 1 million years. I was very excited to be able to experience big ditch in person in downtown Buffalo. The beer selection was out of this world and the wings are $.75 on Mondays. How can you go wrong? We also devoured the pizza special which was equally as incredible. Came here for a drink after having some wings for dinner at the anchor bar a few blocks away. Place was pretty packed on a Wednesday night. There were two TVs behind the bar showing baseball playoffs and the bar was full, so we had to stand and drink our beers around a high top table, which actually wasn't too bad. The main room is pretty small and there is also an upstairs room, but I'm not sure if that is only for private parties. Good selection of beers and like any brewery, they give you some samples to try. Me and my buddies all enjoyed different types of beers. Food looked pretty good, but we were all full and didn't get anything to eat. Everyone seemed to be having a good time and enjoying their food and drinks. We went mid-afternoon on a Friday. It's a big two story brewery. Very open and spacious. Not too busy or noisy, but we were also there between mealtimes. We started with the pretzel sticks. The beer cheese is actually beer cheese queso and very tasty. My husband loved his BBQ chicken wings. They were big and plump, and he couldn't stop raving about the sauce. My bacon cheeseburger was great, and cooked medium rare to order. I couldn't really taste the spicy mayo but the garlic aioli I got for my fries was great. My blueberry lemonade with vodka was light and refreshing. My husband liked his old fashioned so much, he has a couple more. Great service. Need Beer? We stopped here on a Monday afternoon to grab some beer and a sandwich before heading to the Buffalo airport. I got a huge Reuben and a salad and it was tasty. $20. My husband got the shrimp poor boy. And it was a little sad looking not much shrimp and very small so I gave him some of my sandwich. The beer was very good We had the Red. My sister got the cheese curds and they were good fried hot and fresh. This brewery is located right down town in Buffalo. So you have to pay to park. I'm not a big fan of downtown areas but this was a great place to stop quickly before heading to the airport. This place is huge with an upstairs and extra little rooms for parties. The lady told us they have been around for over 8 year's looks like they're doing real well. If I'm ever back in Buffalo I'll stop in and say hello. read more

I ordered the Mexican coffee cocktail and thought it was a little too strong (basically tasted like tequila with coffee). Had to ask the waiter to add coffee to it because it was too strong. I also got the pork belly stir fry and my partner got the hot chicken. Hot chicken looked small and the bun was a little tasteless. The pork belly dish was full of flavor and veggies. It was great! One word: Hayburner This is the IPA that doesn't taste like an IPA and the one beer that everyone in Buffalo seems to be raving about. They are not wrong. It's delicious, light and crisp. Nothing like a typical IPA yet still seems to be loved by IPA drinkers. While in town, actually it was as soon as I got out of the airport, I came here for lunch because I was starving and it was in close proximity to my hotel. I started with their cinnamon apple beer. It was so warm and comforting and I would have opt'd for a second but everyone kept telling me about this Hayburner. Once I tried it though, I loved it, obviously. For lunch I got the Apple Brie Melt. The cinnamon cooked apples paired really well with my beer. The sourdough was was toasted to perfection while the Brie was perfectly melty. Not to be overlooked were the fries. Now I'm not typically a fry girl but these fries were some of the best I've had in my life. Handcut and perfectly salted, I couldn't stop eating them! This place is one of the reasons why I won't wait so long to go back to Buffalo. read more

I often judge a restaurant on its pretzels, and these ones were super delicious. For my main, the pasta was perfectly cooked and I loved the sauce. It was super creamy and savory and hit all the right notes. Our server was absolutely wonderful and had a great personality, and despite there being a party in the next room, it was still decently quiet. A nice brewery in the heart of downtown Buffalo and not far from the theater district. We took advantage of the free parking in the lot next door for this fun yelp event. Yelp had the back room with its own bar and bartender for this event. The room is spacious and has garage doors that can be opened on warmer days/evening. There were dedicated bathrooms for this back area too. We enjoyed that there were no tvs playing sports or anything else but a drink and food list. It made it easier to have a conversation and enjoy the company you were with. We always love Brandon's surprise Yelp gifts. Great atmosphere- they did a wonderful job with the decor. Service was attentive and friendly. The food was a little bit above meh. Had to the buffalo chicken pizza - a little too dry. Crust should be a little thicker too. My brother in law had the shredded pork with broccoli - Robb it looked awesome. Fries need a little more work but the dipping sauces are nice.
