I had The Texan, 2 beef patties, bacon, cheddar, blue crumbles, tobacco onions & hickory BBQ sauce. My friend had the Chicken Sandwich, chicken breast, bacon, cheddar, sriracha honey & lto. Both came with fries I opted for regular & my friend had the sweet potato fries. Both were real good and I brought half of mine home. Cool spot with a nice food menu and lots of their own beers, which I am told are tasty. This place is super casual and perfect to grab drinks, food or just hang out. You seat yourself and order at the bar. We stopped for a drink and I tried the mule and my husband had a beer flight. He says the first loop is his favorite and he's been back several times for more. Stopped in after work with a friend since I had heard about this spot but never was in the area at the right time. First impressions were that this seemed like a nice little pub. The inside isn't huge so it felt cozy with the people already there and their patio was nice with the weather being cooperative. We opted for the patio to take advantage of the nice Buffalo weather while it's here. We ordered at the bar. Tuesdays has a great deal of two burgers, two beers, and pomme frites for $30. That right there is exactly what we were looking for. I tried the Honey Kolsch which was light, refreshing, and paired up great with my burger. For the burger, I went with the classic diner burger and I could not have been happier with my choice. It was tall with the two patties and the toppings were fresh and crispy. The cheese was melted perfectly. This burger was very delicious and hit the spot. The pomme frites were absolutely spectacular. They had just the perfect amount of salt and pepper and really made the meal complete. Overall, this is a great spot. Simple, yet it delivers. Ordering at the bar was easy and you pick up your food at the kitchen window. Bartender was attentive and friendly. This is a spot I would go back to for sure! read more

Wednesday is wing night except Ash Wednesday, when they'll have a Buffalo fish fry with all the fixins that us Buffalonians love. It'll switch to Friday's through lent. I got the keto burger which has a gluten free bun that I changed to a regular bun. Came with cheddar, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion. The burger came out with the hottest fries I've ever had! Ten minutes later they were still almost too hot to eat. Their fries are fresh cut, skin on steak fries. Partner got the mushroom Swiss burger, which he really liked. IPA's were really tasty too, there were at least three choices. We had the grapefruit IPA which we both really enjoyed. There's plenty of seating and a large bar with stools all around. Would give 0 stars if I could. Went for a reservation at 4:45pm before a 7pm bandits game, and never received my food order of a BLT and Chicken Fingers. Absolutely unacceptable and no warning of a wait. The kitchen staff was unfriendly when we asked after over an hour of waiting, so we cancelled our food order at a 1.5 hour wait. Went for their Tuesday burger special which is two burgers, two fries and two beer for $30. I had the Texan burger which came with two patties, bacon, cheese, blue crumbles, and barbecue sauce. My friend got the diner burger, which was essentially your standard cheeseburger. For my beer, I got the blueberry spring, which was a sour beer with blueberry lemon and lavender. I don't drink sours very often, but this one was a solid offering. In terms of the burger, it was very good. Everything was perfectly cooked. The fries were nice and crispy and it was just the right portions of everything. We were able to order our food at the bar and they just buzzed us when it was ready and we picked it up from the counter and enjoyed time out on their patio. We were passing through and wanted to get some Buffalo wings...... hands down the best we've had. We're now sad we may never have them again and any other wings have been ruined forever. The service was great too, so friendly! The place was nice with a good amount of indoor seating. We got the Saucy Boy and 716 Medium. Both were incredible but the Saucy Boy (hot garlic parm) was unlike anything we've had. Also we got a First Loop hazy, and made sure to pick up a 4-pack before we left. Wish I could give it 4.5. This place is a little out of our way, but what else are we gonna do on a Friday night? Came around 7 and there were several people at the bar and at the tables. You order drinks and food from the bar and then you pick it up once your buzzer rings from the kitchen area. I ordered the regular burger (they all have two thin sliced patties) and my fiancé ordered the chicken fingers. Both were really good but let me say that the fries really stood out! They were fresh, thick cut...just the way we like them. I'd come back for just the fries! We also tried a pretzel which was also very good. I got a Moscow mule and he got one of their IPA's. Not a bad place but probably our least favorite of the 4 breweries we went to in Buffalo. Much smaller than some of the others and the parking isn't great. Beer list is on the smaller side but what I had was pretty solid. Food menu looked pretty good but we just got nachos to share for the table as we had just eaten earlier. All service is up at the bar so on a busy day it could take a while to order. Again, it's not a bad place but wasn't blown away like I was some of the other breweries around town. read more

Some family and I came to Belt Line Brewery for their Puzzle Night, held the last Thursday of each month, and had a great experience! I arrived around 5:30pm on a Thursday and parked on the street right around the corner. I did not see a parking lot and any parking lots I did see were for the apartments/lofts surrounding Belt Line Brewery. Upon walking in, the inside was clean and spacious with a large bar and plenty of tables and seating. We started at the bar and told the bartender we were here for Puzzle Night and were looking to grab dinner and a drink beforehand. She was friendly enough giving us menus and telling us we could grab any of the reserved tables. Throughout the evening, we did not interact much with the staff here, but the few we did, they were courteous, friendly enough. We grabbed one of the reserved tables and looked over their beer list and food menu. Within a few minutes, we knew what we wanted, so we placed our beer and food orders at the bar. We got our drinks, Looper's Wheat (wheat ale with orange peel - delish!) for me, and a buzzer that went off when our food was ready for us to pick up at the food counter in the corner. It did not feel like more than 15-20 minutes passed when our buzzer went off. As we were going back to our table, I made a stop at a small station full of napkins, silverware, and condiments, which we grabbed a bottle of ketchup. For dinner, I went with their Buffalo Chicken Sandwich (crispy fried chicken breast topped with "716 Sauce", blue cheese dressing, lettuce, tomatoes, and (red) onions) and a side of their Pomme Frites (hand-cut, twice fried fries). This was an excellent sandwich! The chicken was hot and juicy, and their sauce had a nice kick to it but not make-your-lips-tingle hot. Perhaps the blue cheese dressing helped cut the heat a bit. The lettuce, tomato, onion were nice additions, flavors. The soft, warm brioche bun was excellent too. I had heard the fries at Belt Line were not too be missed and I totally agree! They were hefty, fried perfectly, and had a nice seasoning to them. Belt Line trumps many other Buffalo restaurants' fries, they will be hard to beat! The size of the sandwich and portion of fries, along with a cold pint, left me perfectly full and all this for a relatively good price. Belt Line Brewery is a cool local brewery serving up solid food (amazing fries), a smaller, focused selection of beer, all in a cool, clean space. Puzzle Night was a great time, albeit we did not finish our puzzle, all of us had a great time! I definitely want to come back for dinner, drinks, and a good time. read more

Beer reviews on Untappd. Seneca Street 5/10 Fried egg had a little runny yolk still which I liked. Kinda wish it was a little more runny even. Burger was very dry and over cooked for my liking (it was medium-well/well done...no pink). The pickled banana peppers were more like normal, not pickley. It added a tiny bit of wetness to the burger, but it definitely needed a more wet element. Some type of sauce or slaw or even avocado slices. Would not order a burger here again. The Texan 7/10 This burger was better than the other one. The meat was equally as dry (med-well/looks pink in the photo but, as it sat it browned up). It was more balanced as far as toppings though.. The bbq sauce made the burger better just because it added that wet aspect to it. You could taste the bacon pretty well throughout too! I don't remember tasting the blue cheese crumbles too much. It turns out "Belt Line" is not a reference to the mid-section (like how regular overconsumption of wings will often lead to an expanded belt-line), rather it refers to the belt-shaped railway systems that carried goods and commuters through Buffalo and surrounding areas, including the Larkin neighborhood, many generations ago. The train-related dad joke possibilities are endless... and since I have the "platform", I'll use it to blow off some "steam". Location: 3.5 / 5 This is definitely a no frills experience. There is very limited wait service - none, in fact, on the night we went - and several wobbly tables. On the positive side, they had a great selection of beers brewed on-site and the bartender was friendly and efficient which got them back "on track." Presentation: 3.5 / 5 Nothing fancy here but also nothing wrong, I guess. Just some wings thrown on a tray and left at the bar for pickup. These early categories have them a bit "derailed" but they will recover. Meat: 4.5 / 5 Near-perfectly shaped wings and no weird ones in the bunch. They seem to be "engineer"ing a recovery in their scores. Cook: 9.5 / 10 What an amazing surprise! The 716 wings were nearly perfectly prepared and amazingly tender; no excess "chew chew"ing required. The BBQ and jerk were double grilled to perfection and were the perfect mix of saucy and crispy. Std wing: 13 / 15 While they didn't have a typical 'medium' wing, the 716 was the closest they had... and it offered a very curious flavor. There was a unique pepper taste that really stayed with you (in a good way) and gave it a kick that was a touch above traditional medium. Extra credit for uniqueness here -- first class! Specialty: 8.5 / 10 BBQ was among the best. Sweet and tangy but they didn't over-do it with either. The Jerk flavor was insanely good. With a lemony kick, it was unlike traditional Caribbean jerk, but regardless of what flavor they want to call it, it was "Tram"-endous. I am always happy to have gone to Belt Line! They have a great selection of beers and a few ciders, you can always sample one before getting a full glass, which is appreciated. It's a very laidback vibe, there are no servers and you pick up your food at a window unless you sit at the bar. They have a decent menu and offer more than just standard bar foods. However, I've only ever had the wings and fries because they are SO good! My favorite is the "all dressed" which is a little spicy, a little tangy, a lot yummy. Belt Line Brewery and Kitchen is a popular spot on the South Side of Buffalo near Swann St.  I didn't get to try any of the food, but it must be really good here because there was a steady stream of patrons ordering all kinds of pub food goodness. They have mixed drinks, wine and slushies to compliment the craft beer offerings. They had a flight of 4 for $15.  I didn't think that was a great deal, but they did do 9 oz pours for between $5 and $5.50 which I thought was a good compromise. The BEER: Blueberry Spring fruited sour 7.1% ABV... this is a winner.  Loved it. Double Jusey fruited sour 7.1% ABV... also so delicious.   Loved it. Main Course New England IPA 7.4% ABV... it was less juicy and a little dry.  Still a solid and drinkable NEIPA. Farm to Tap: Honey Kolsch 4.8% ABV... it was also very good and had a melon finish.  Totally drinkable/crushable. The beer selection was limited about 8 or 9 on tap.  This is work a return trip to try some food with the beer. read more

After kickball, we decided to come here to grab some drinks and food. It was a Wednesday at around 8pm and we were able to get a table immediately. We put in our food and drink order and enjoyed the company and playing with Legos. I got a dirty Shirley, which I'm convinced is the drink of the summer, and everyone else at the table got beer or hard seltzer and enjoyed their selections. My boyfriend also ordered fries. These fries were incredible. They were crispy and had great seasoning and vinegar built into the fries. So good! I can't wait to go back and try the wings. Enjoyed $5 bloody Mary's and $8 mimosas, along with a guest tap (two robbers seltzer), that just hit the spot. Greeted by some great bartenders really made this a great experience and I am so mad I didn't catch their names! Ordered the all dressed wings and was not disappointed! Had a very strong taste of almost like a salt and vinegar chip type taste, and best believe I finished every single one of them! Went here with my wife and best friend Gary from Buffalo. Note that I'm a 716 homer myself. But in all seriousness places like this make me want to move back. Now can we just get the Sabres back in the playoffs? Vibe is hipster, but accessible. This is the B-lo after all, thus you will not find pretentious people here. Several excellent craft beers here. Really something for everyone. I recommend: 1. A Beer With Citra IPA. A 7.5% ABV New England style. Good fruit notes and not too piney; and 2. The Crosscut Oatmeal Stout. A classic style executed well by these guys. The food here is outstanding for a craft brewery. Gary and I inhaled the pomme frites. They are hand cut, with skin on, twice fried and flake salt added. We both agreed that these were the best fries we have had anywhere in years and the dish was an excellent pairing especially with the IPAs here. Then we all shared the Italian sausage with poblano corn salsa and the bratwurst with Webers mustard and an onion jam. Both we excellent and went well with the beers. My only recommendation would be dumping the corn salsa, which brought nothing to the party other than a mess on the plate. Service was excellent. Have been in twice the last two weeks for drinks and dinner with my fiancé and some friends. Overall, my previous complaints still stand with not enough bartenders serving and not a clear way of ordering. When waiting at the register to order, the female bartender ignored me several times to serve people standing at the bar (not in the line with everyone else). So it just appears that the service has not been straightened out here. The beers and food are still delicious so no complaints there. I love sitting out on the patio as well. read more

Just found this place last week, and have been back 2 more times. The food and beer and both so good that I just keep coming back. The fries are SO crunchy on the outside and mushy on the inside. And there's so many sauces to choose from! I also tried their "everything" wings which were absolutely PACKED with seasoning. I have also tried their vegan Chicago dog, which as a meat eater was DELICIOUS. Their beer is all so good. They have a good selection of sours, which I enjoy.
